Katie Pertiet Designs ARToptions MIni Mix 33 Bundle

Can you imagine a never ending supply of your favorite paper collections?? Imagine no more. As long as you purchase digital collections, you have them forever, and can print as many times as you want. I use Katie Pertiet Designs digitals in my projects. Printing what I need to complete each one. And no worries if you dont have a printer that prints in 12x12 format. I use 8.5x11 inch printed sheets to create my projects. For this 12x12 layout, I printed up Transfer 1 digital from ARToptions Minimix 33 and cut it diagonally and used a piece of 12x12 white cardstock to adhere it to. I machine sewed around the edges of the layout using straight stitching and zig zag. 3 rows all around. The frame is a Prima resin frame that I poured, coated in white gesso, and used Lindys Stamp Gang Magical Shakers for color, topping it with some gold wax matching the colors in the papers.

The ARToptions Minimix 33 Bundle has everything you need in a collection to create a project. I ran some images in photoshop creating a page that I could fussy cut images from. Word strips and buttterflies in abundance11 You can even create a print and cut for your Silhouette, Cricut or any print and cut machine. Katie Pertiet Designs has so many collections that already have print and cuts that you can use in your electronic cutting machines to make it easier. But even those who love to fussy cut will find a world of designs at your disposal.

I found this gorgeous bird from the Birdsong Print and Cut Pack 03, image 39, and it matched perfectly. I used scraps from the collections to create rolled roses. Love that you can use just scraps.

I created all of the flowers on this layout. I printed up papers From Minimix 12 images 5 and 7, and the Classic Pooh Friends Like You Solids Paper Pack image #3.  I printed on both sides of a 8.5x11 inch cardstock and die cut flowers using various dies in my stash. Once the flowers were assembled I used fine glitter to make them glimmer.

I love creating my own flowers, because I get to choose shape, style, size and color. Katie Pertiets collections in the shop make it so easy to do this. With so many solids in paper collections, there is always something to mix and match to perfection!

Arden Creative Studio new collection Hidden Creek designed by Katie Pertiet

Hello Lovelies!! It has been a while since I created a layout, and I was a little rusty until Hidden Creek was on my desk!  Katie Pertiet has designed a gorgeous new collection for Arden Creative Studio. The collection is full of all of those hidden gems you would find by a quiet creek in the woods. Fern, butterflies, wild flowers, and those tiny bugs that are oh so cute!! Yes, bugs can be cute!

Last year, we started raising Monarch Butterflies. The photos in the layout are of my grandaughter holding one of the newly hatched Monarchs.

I started with mounting a 12x12 paper from the pad on a piece of  cardboard but did not adhere a small vertical strip. i peeled that part back and tucked in a strip of corrugated cardboard. The frames were created using 2 retired Sizzix BIGZ dies that I layered. I adhered the frames to the base, then the fun began decorating the layout.

The little bugs in the Ephemera pack are just to cute. I fussy cut the white edge out, and used a ball stylus to round them out. I used a black sharpie to color the legs and popped them onto a leaf using a small pop dot underneath. I strung the laser cut pendant with some jute.

I added some of my favorite elements, and created my own flowers to match the papers perfectly. I love adding a little texture to my layouts, and this time, used some peeled back corrugated cardboard that I distressed with white acrylic paint.

Look at the delicate laser cut darling Damselfly. I just glued her onto the flower. I created the flowers using some of my favorite floral dies. Do you have a favorite paper collection, and want the perfect flowers to match?? I grabbed Katie Pertiet Designs digital Dirty Linens Autumn Paper Pack, printed one of the teal colors on both sides of a piece of 110lb cardstock, die cut and created the perfect flowers. No need to ink if your using digital papers. I did use some Vintage Photo Distress ink on the edges to give them a little bit of depth. The fern are all die cut from the Fern Valley Die set created for the Hidden Creek collection. I can see using this die for many years to come.

The blue flowers were die cut from a retired Sizzix Susans Garden Black Eyed Susan die. The middle  of the flower was done using a McGill sun punch. I punched 5 suns and layered them together scrunching them up. The white flowers are an Elizabeth Crafts die designed by Angelica Turner. Wild Flower 2 using a ball stylus to shape, and the middle was done with a Floral 9 die and slit each petal into 2 making the petal thinner. I then added Prills to the middle.

Hidden Creek is a beautiful collection. There is so much more to this collection. My favorite online store to get my scrapbooking supplies is A Cherry On Top. They have everything you need!!!Including the complete line of Hidden Creek.

Love Mini Album featuring Katie Pertiet Design digital collections.

Who said that you have to wait for Valentines Day to create projects about Love....No one ever!! This little mini was created using a few different digital collections from Katie Pertiet Designs that I printed to create my mini. There are so many printables in the shop, and if you have an electronic cutting machine, you wont stop using it!! And if you don't have one, the collections are a fussy cutters dream! Click here https://www.katiepertietdesigns.com/store/index.php/shop/ for Katies shop. Sign up and  create an account, and get started using her gorgeous designs. From papers, to ephemera, to digital stamps and so much more, you wont know what to purchase first!

For the cover, I used 49 and Market beautiful flowers. I added 4 metal page corner embellishments for a little glitz.

The mini album is my take on a sweet mini Amber Michell (bambidearr} created. Amber is so inspiring when it comes to sweet little minis!!

I love the spine, as book rings hold the pages in the  mini, and then you can hang beautiful dangles on the outside. Even lots of lush ribbons would look gorgeous!  I have a plethora of beads, so I created dangles. I also used leather fringe tassels. I created charms using the ephemera sentiment circles, placed a piece of chipboard in the middle and sandwiched 2 sentiments. I used gold paint on the edges, put a gold eyelet at top using my Cropadile and attached it to the top book ring using a bulb pin, and the other charm I hung from a dangle I created using letter and crystal beads.

I also created the little pink charm using a gold bezel, the heart was cut from one of the the papers then topped with an acrylic half dome. I bent back one of the loops on the bezel, and put a jump ring through it. I love creating dangles and charms for mini albums.

There are so many things you can use to adorn your pages. I created little envelopes using my We R Memory Makers envelope punch board and adhered it to the page. Before I attached it, I added the string to close the envelope once attached. I topped this one using the Bolt Heart Butterfly Bow die from ScrapbookDiva Designs.

Each page in the mini is a pocket. I created a card to slide into each pocket. They make great photo mats!

Here is the card out of the pocket, and I also created small envelopes with cards to slide into the pocked as well.

Leave the flap of the little envelope outside the pocket.

Here is another mini envelope attached to one of the pages.

Dont glue the envelope together. Using the string to close it. All 4 flaps will open to reveal a little surprise, whether its a photo, journaling or a little love note, its up to you!

In the back inside cover, Using the Tim Holtz Heartbeat die, I created a paper covered chipboard heart to hold another love letter. I die cut the heart rhythm, glued it on the heart and sprinkled it with glitter.

I created a slide out card. The back was left plain to add your own journaling or love letter!

I put 7 pages into the album. There is room for more.

A Cut Above / November Challenge. "Warm It Up".

If you love creating with die cuts, then A Cut Above has a challenge for you! This month, the Challenge/theme for November is Warm It Up" using die cuts along with warm/fall colors. I use to think I had more flowers than anything else in my stash, but I know now, die cuts took the top spot! How I love creating with dies of all kinds.

For my project, I created a mini album using the Sizzix Bigz Mason Jar 2 die designed by Lori Whitlock. Although, this die is retired, there are many other Mason Jar dies and SVG cuts out there. I love the Bigz dies because they cut through chip board beautifully.

Choosing the gorgeous colors of fall, I went with the printable digital collection Vintage Orchard designed by Katie Pertiet. I used the Print and Cut packs, as well as the Printable Papers. This collection was perfect for my mini album.  I die cut the jars using chipboard, then die cut a front and back using the paper I printed up. I used Flower and leaf  dies from Elizabeth Craft Design designed by Angelica Turner, to create the florals on the cover. I die cut them from the Weathered Market digital paper I printed up from Katie Pertiet Designs. I also collect ribbon, so I just went through my massive stash and pulled out the colors that matched the papers. I closed my mini using book rings, and tied the ribbons to the rings.

I have various types of slide dies. I die cut slides, and added them between the pages. Besides the beautiful frames that I cut with my Cameo, the slides can also hold small photos. I used metallic paper for the lids on the jars.
I die cut Spellbinders tiny tags from lightweight chipboard, and strung them through out the mini. I just thought the tags were so cute!
Another favorite die I adore is the Leaf Fragments dies designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. I colored them with alcohol inks. There are so may ways to color the leaves. I love the muted designs that the alcohol ink leaves.
I really enjoyed going through my stash of dies for this project. I have so many ideas for another Mason Jar Mini!! On the cover, I tied some jute around the lid for the last finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by to see my mini up close. And please stop by A Cut Above and join the challenge. There is a challenge every month with a different theme. Its time to take those dies out and put them to good use!!

Katie Pertiet Designs. Color Swatch Ocean Breeze

For those of you who love 49 and Market (as I do), then you know Katie Pertiet has done the majority of the designs you all have come to know and love. Moving forward, Katie has parted ways with 49 and Market ( a couple more collections to go) and will get back to focusing on her company Katie Pertiet Designs. I have followed Katie for years, and will probably follow her to the ends of the earth!! Her designs make my heart sing, and since they are all digital, there are endless possibilities when printing them on paper. Imagine this. A never ending supply of your favorite designs. Making a journal, a layout, an off the page project, an explosion box, a book?? Boom...you can print up as many papers as you want to complete it. No more running out (unless you run out of paper and ink!!) And with hundreds and hundreds of collections in the shop, you will surely get dizzy at the array of colors and design. Like me, you will want it all.

For this project, I used The Journal Maker in the brand new Ocean Breeze. as my base. There are so many possibilities when putting this together. So many different ways to construct it. I love that there are bonus papers included, so if you want to use them as a base, or to die cut, it is a great addition. If it isnt enough for you, you can add on by purchasing many of the other collections in Ocean Breeze

This post is a little photo heavy, but I wanted you to see all of the details in this folio/journal. When closed up, it measure 4x6. A perfect little size, but plenty of room for journaling and photos.

My creative Scrapbook April Limited Edition kit

Hello Lovelies!! I am here with the 4th Layout I created with the My Creative Scrapbook April Limited Edition kit. If you have been following me, you know how much I adore this kit. It features Prima's In Full Bloom collection designed by The 3 Girls Tale. Florals, butterflies and sweet birds..oh my...I had a lot of creative fun with everything in this fabulous kit.

I used one of the Journaling Note Cards in the kit to create the frame for the photo. I saved the cut out part of the frame and created a tag that you will see in the next photo. NOTHING is wasted on my scrap desk! U used some of the stamped flowers to tuck in here and there. I love the Paige Evans stamp set included in the kit. The green leaves were die cut from the backs of some of the journaling cards that I knew I would not use. Just use your favorite leaf die. I know you have one!!

Here is the closeup of the tag I created using the middle I cut out of the journaling card to create the frame. I cut  out the sentiment on the cut out , layered it on a piece of scrap paper, and placed it on the tag. Simple right!!! The packs of Prima flowers included are so beautiful! The sweet little daisies are my favorite. I also used the stencil in the kit for some added texture in the background, and I used the sweet doily stamp from the Paige Evans stamp set to heat emboss in white.

The ephemera pack in the kit has so many sweet images. I used a few scattered in the layout. Birds butterflies and potted flowers. Love them. When I was finished with the layout. I used white acrylic paint to splatter over the layout. I also used a purple to do the same.

Thank you for joining me today. You have to check out all of the kits My Creative Scrapbook has to offer. Different styles for different tastes. I love the Limited Edition kit because it reflects my style. Go find yours!!

My Creative Scrapbook April Limited Edition Kit. 12 x 12 Layout. ♥BeeYOUtiful♥

My Creative Scrapbook limited Edition Kit for April is simply divine!! It features Primas In Full Bloom collection. I just love it!! Truly gorgeous with all of the butterflies, bees and florals. For this layout, I combined 2 different papers. I fussy cut the big gorgeous butterfly from one paper, and popped it up on pieces of cardboard to the other paper puffing up the wings slightly for dimension.

I love the piece of decorative chipboard that came in the kit. I pounced some white acrylic paint on it, then just kissed it with a little color. I snipped the frame diagonally and used each individual piece in opposite corners of the page.

Since I didn't glue the big butterfly flat to the page, I tucked some flowers and leaves under the wings to lift them up a little. I had also cut a smaller butterfly in half, and used one half on another layout, and saved the other half for this layout. then I tucked in a couple of flowers, leaves,  and added the sweet bird in the little cluster. The title is in the ephemera pack.

I created the frames for the photos from the book on the cutout sheet in the kit. I snipped it in half, cut out the middle and create 2 frames. I popped them up using pieces of corrugated cardboard for dimension. I think i am going to stick this one is a shadow box. The 2 in the photos are my sweet twin grandchildren.
