Privacy Policy

This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or any third-party tracking, and it collects no personal data of its own. The notes below explain the little that does happen technically, and your rights.

Who is responsible

The controller for this website is Wickra, Switzerland. For any privacy-related request, contact [email protected].

No cookies, no tracking

wickra.org sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. Your visit is not profiled, and no behavioural data is collected or shared.

Hosting and server logs

The site is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any web host, Cloudflare automatically processes technical connection data — your IP address, browser user-agent, the requested URL, and a timestamp — in server logs in order to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks. This is carried out by Cloudflare as our hosting and CDN provider.

  • Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure, performant website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, where applicable) and the corresponding provisions of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
  • International transfer: Cloudflare is a US-based company, so this technical data may be processed outside Switzerland and the EU under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses / the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Browser storage

The site stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage for functional purposes only — remembering your light/dark theme preference and the on-page search index. This data is first-party, stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is not used for tracking. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

The interactive demo

The live demo runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. It makes no network requests and sends no data anywhere.

Some pages link to third-party sites (GitHub, crates.io, PyPI, npm, docs.wickra.org). When you follow such a link, the destination's own privacy policy applies; we have no control over how those sites process your data.

Your rights

Under the Swiss FADP and the GDPR (where it applies) you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of, and objection to the processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As we store no personal data ourselves beyond the host's technical logs described above, please direct any such request to [email protected] and we will assist.

We never sell data, and we perform no profiling or automated decision-making.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date below reflects the current version.
