Description
The Black Dragon Knight, also known as the Black Devil, is one of the antagonists in The Saga: Iria working with the Cessair organization. He is also despised by the shamans of Courcle, having massacred them prior to the Saga of Iria. He is presumably a Knight of the Black Dragon Bhafel and may be an avatar of the Black Dragon, though the relationship between the two is never mentioned.

During the fight between Akule and Bhafel, a man in black armor looks over them.
The Black Dragon Knight interrogates Shamala and informs her of mentor Akule's death, as he oversaw what had happen during the aftermath of the fight between Akule and the Bhafel, then declares that her "tragedy" is his victory. He also antagonizes Shamala telling her that he is also aware that Shamala is the Black Panther of Cor and mocks her, stating that her work and her risks to protect that village are simply in vain. Shamala responds that the Black Dragon Knight is the same as her and she pities him. The Black Dragon Knight angrily denies Shamala's claim and points his sword at her, but after hearing some ruckus above him, caused by Bhafel's capture of Millia and the Milletian, he turns away and walks towards the exit of Shamala's prison. He then removes his helmet, which reveals that the Black Dragon Knight has red-hair.
The Black Dragon Knight discusses with Black Mask on dealing with their enemies, and agrees to aid the Cessairs.
After Black Mask subdues the Milletian and its allies, the Black Dragon Knight walks over to them.
The Black Dragon Knight reveals his identity as Ruairi, and explains that he has been fighting off Morrighan's curse that Morgant placed on him. Despite supposedly coming to even terms in Generation 8, he blames the Milletian for the curse and attacks them, eventually defeating and killing them after three scuffles.

- It is advised to keep your distance at all costs. The Black Dragon Knight is capable of dealing large amounts of damage and may finish you in a single combo.
Black Dragon Knight:
- Has a long aggro retention.
- Capable of dealing large amounts of damage with melee hits.
- Tends to keep Windmill loaded for long periods of time.
- Capable of summoning a illusion of himself, but with less HP and damage.
Black Dragon Knight's Illusion:
- Summoned by the Black Dragon Knight during Phase two of the missions.
- Has a long aggro retention.
- Capable of dealing large amounts of damage with melee hits.
