An air traffic control tower is a tall, windowed structure common at airports used to control aircraft for take-off, landing, and ground movements.
How to map
Set a node at the center of the feature or draw an area
along its outline. Control towers may be a standalone structure or as part of a building. The tower should be drawn separately from other buildings at the base. Add
aeroway=tower and building=tower.
Lighting or navigation aids might be located on the tower, but should be mapped separately, as they use different tagging schemes (See aeroway=*). Only use aeroway=tower for the structure designed for air traffic controllers to observe and control aircraft.
