Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode is the Partner Kemonogami of Minase Haruchika. After the party defeats the Master in Part 13 of the Truthful Route, Haruchika is ejected from the Master by Miyuki's song, the latter which evolves into Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode. The fully restored Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode and Haruchika then tried to cross the portal into the human world to destroy it as revenge, at which the party makes the resolve to team up and defeat them once and for all.

Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode is the final boss of Part 13 of the Truthful Route and by extension, the final boss of the entire game. It is level 95, resists all elements by 2, and just like the Master, it always moves last and cannot move or evade attacks. The player is given 5 free deployment slots with no predeployed Kemonogami.

Once Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode's HP goes under 50%, a cutscene will play. The partner Kemonogami were overwhelmed by Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode's overwhelming power, but messages sent to Takuma about his fight with Piemon called forth human attention to the Kemonogami world and buffs the stats of all deployed partner Digimon.

If Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode's HP goes under 30%, Minase Miyuki will be possessed by Minase Yukiha's soul. Yukiha will then go to appeal to Haruchika, greatly weakening him. This has no known in-game effect.

After being defeated, Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode reverts back to his Huanglongmon form and now purified of all spite, Haruchika's soul departs with Yukiha into the afterlife.

Just like all Master variants, Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode is an enemy-only Digimon.

Digimon New Century[edit]

During a fight with Nezhamon and Alphamon over parts of Yggdrasill, the Four Holy Beasts merged into Huanglongmon to fight them. Alphamon released a burst of broken code from Yggdrasill, which temporarily evolved Huanglongmon into Huanglongmon: Ruin Mode and Nezhamon into Nezhamon: Crimson Mode. Nezhamon was able to defeat Huanglongmon Ruin Mode in this state, who reverted back into Huanglongmon, and then into the Four Holy Beasts.
