Talk:King Whamon
Ride Right[edit]
There certainly are a lot of weird names, so this one doesn't seem that out of place. However, I'd like to propose "Ridelite" as the romanization, relating to the common mineral suffix "-lite". ShikaSS (talk) 09:09, 13 March 2026 (CDT)
- I first took the name for Ride Light, but it doesn't seem to make much sense. If anything, KingWhamon is heavy, not light. I wonder if it might actually refer to the right whale (e.g., Eubalaena japonica, which has no dorsal fin/bump and has callouses on its head and lips), similar to how NoblePumpmon's attacks refer to different types of pumpkin, which would make it fine the way it is.--TMS (talk) 22:01, 13 March 2026 (EDT)
Translation tweaks[edit]
中に入って emphasizes going inside the mouth, subtly implying that KingWhamon built the island passive aggressively so they'd stop that. I did up this translation in my normal style.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 15:40, 16 March 2026 (CDT)
An Ultimate Whamon which ended up constructing an inhabitable island, for the parties of Digimon which went inside Whamon's mouth and hitched a ride while it moved through Net Space. Even when it dives to the depths, it covers the island with a large bubble and protects the Digimon. However, if they are causing strife within the island, they will be forced to leave with a spouting.
Its Special Moves are attacking with a super-compressed spouting (WaJet), and charging with the cliffs of its hard head (Ride Right).
