Максим Горький (настоящее имя — Алексей Максимович Пешков, также часто называют его Алексей Максимович Горький). 16(28).03.1868—18.06.1936. Русский и советский писатель, прозаик, драматург, основоположник литературы социалистического реализма, инициатор создания Союза писателей СССР и первый председатель правления этого союза.
