Country Coverage

This table lists the countries covered in Eora. For the three-letter codes we note that different data providers do not always use the same 3-letter codes. Therefore, to link Eora country names to your project we recommend using the country_looup.txt country name variants file provided below. The IO Type column indicates the type of IO table used for this country in Eora: CIOT means commodity-by-commodity IO table, IIOT means industry-industry IO table, and SUT means supply-use table. The number of sectors shows the sectoral resolution used in the table, by number of commodities, industries, or industries/commodities for SUT tables. The classification indicates which classification system is used: National means the IO table is uses the official national classification (e.g. BEA for USA, Australian classification for Australia, etc); EUROSTAT means the country uses the standard 60-sector EUROSTAT IO table classification, and Common means the country IO table has been estimated and uses the Eora internal 26-sector classification. Note that the Eora 26 sector Common classification has been developed as a "lowest common denominator" classification and is a custom system. While it roughyl follows HS, it is a new classification. Note that we are only able to offer concordances to/from this classification via paid consulting projects or funded joint projects.

This file offers approximately 1000 common name variants for the Eora countries: country_lookup.txt

Some region membership definitions (OECD, G7, Western Europe, etc.) are provided here: regionmembership.csv
