Welcome to this month’s Colour Fusers Blog Hop!
This month, we’re working with a beautiful colour combination: Darling Duckling, Basic Grey, and Basic White. I’ve always loved yellow and grey together, they make such a cheerful combo!
For my project, I started with a banner background using the 6” x 6” Darling Duckling Designer Series Paper. I wanted to add a coordinating piece in grey, but as I didn’t have any grey patterned paper to hand, I decided to create my own.
To do this, I used the tall floral image from Gallery Blooms, along with some of the text from Elements of Text. I randomly stamped over a piece of Basic White cardstock to create a custom pattern, then cut it into two smaller strips to add to the design.
The floral die cuts were made from watercolour paper, and I added colour using ink refills and a paintbrush for a soft, blended effect. The leaves were cut from Basic White, then stamped with the text image and lightly blended with grey ink to bring everything together.

The label die is from a new die set called Peace on Earth and this will be available in the Sept-Dec 2025 Mini Catalogue.
Pin this colour combination for later!
