New Home

Hello there, today I have a new home card to share with you that I have made for the lovely Sally. She has recently just moved house so I wanted to send her a card to wish her all the best. I have used the WPlus9 Folk Art Florals dies and simply layered the little bird over the house image. The bird plus the top roof layer of the house have had the WOS treatment and then I have stamped the sentiment from the CBS A Little Sentimental below.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Hello there, last week was my Dad's Birthday but since my blog was packed full of CB teasers I didn't get a chance to share the card I made for him. I came across this gorgeous card on Pinterest by Lindsay Amrhein and thought the design would be great for his card. I first took a layer of white CS and embossed the Nestabilities Stars on to it. I then printed the sentiment from my PC (I used Amatic SC font) on to PTI Spring Rain CS and it out using the MFT Fishtail Flags Stax dies. This has been added to the panel with 3D foam and then I have embellished with a few Doodlebug Sprinkles. The panel has been added to a card base made from Peanut Cluster Bazzill Card Shoppe CS.

Fresh Flowers - CBS Teasers

Hello there, did you see the sneak peeks of the new Clearly Besotted Stamps release over on Stephanie's blog yesterday? Today and up until the release on the 5th, the DT and GDT are sharing more teasers with you.

My card for today uses the new Fresh Flowers set. Oh my word it is beautiful! I have used the Orange Blossoms image (I assumed these would be orange in colour but they are not, they are white!) and stamped it with Versamark, added white embossing powder and heat set it. I have then lightly coloured it with TH Distress markers using my waterbrush.

The sentiment is from the A Little Sentimental set, it has been stamped and then cut out using the banner die from the Tag Along Die Set.

I found it difficult to photograph this card, showing it to it's full potential. That is why I have kept them dark so you can see the image better. I am really happy with how thing card turned out though in real life! :)

SUPPLIES: (to be updated upon release)

DISTRESS MARKERS: Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Tumbled Glass

Thank you so much for visiting me today. Please pop over to Stephanie's blog where she will have amazing samples (I am sure) as well as links to all other DT sharing today. See you tomorrow!

Hello - LIM & DTDF

Hello there, the current challenge over at Less Is More is stencilling or masking. I have quite a few stencils here that I have been enjoying using so I was delighted that I could combine the challenge with my DTDF DT card this week. I have first taken a panel of white CS and used the MFT Moroccan stencil with some TH Broken China Distress Ink with a sponge dauber. Before taking off the stencil I have sprayed over it with Tattered Angels spray in Pearl. I have then die cut one of the hello's from the MFT Happy Hello's Die-Namics Set three times and layered these up, adding Wink of Stella to the top one. This has been added to the panel and then the panel to a white card base using 3D foam. I have finished it off with a few enamel dots and jewels.

You're The Best

Hello there, so did you see that Clearly Besotted Stamps released some new dies? these are standalone dies that do not necessarily match any of the stamp sets but obviously will work well with them. Stephanie did not want to make a big deal of them and add them to the normal monthly releases as she thinks they are nothing special. They are the kind of shapes that can be bought from other manufacturers and Stephanie has acknowledged that but personally I love them! I think she has added her individual touch to them and I am sure you will love them too.

For my card today I have used the Geometric Rose Die in the large size (there is smaller one too). I first cut it from a panel of white cardstock and kept all the little insides (the negatives of the die shape) and then cut it from Bazzill Card Shoppe CS in Robin's Egg. I inlayed this in the centre of the white panel cut out followed by al the little negative pieces. This means that cardstock panel remain one layer. I have added clear Wink Of Stella over the Robin's Egg CS. I have then stamped the sentiment from the A Little Sentimental stamp set and cut it out using the banner die from the Tag Along die set. I added this on top of the die image with £D foam pads and popped on a couple of gems (coloured with a Copic Marker) to finish.
