Comics Gaming Magazine and the CGM website serve a threefold purpose: to report on news in comics and games, to provide editorial opinion and analysis on various topics within these media, and to review products. This pillar of reporting, commentary and review is executed through the print magazine, text articles on the CGM website, audio podcasts and video commentary and playthroughs.
All articles published on CGMagazine Online or in the print edition of CGMagazine are edited by an in-house team. We do not accept user submissions for news or reviews, though we welcome tips on developing stories.
Our editorial staff is a mix of on-site staff and contributors at various levels of experience. Some have over 10 years of experience writing and reporting on the gaming industry, while others have been active for just a few years. Our contributors report from around the globe, including Asia, America and Europe. They also provide editorial commentary, which, it should be stressed, is opinion.
If a writer has a previous friendship with a developer, they will disclose it where applicable.
No rumours will be published without verification through proper channels. When covering news stories, we strive to report only the facts as they are at the time of publication. CGMagazine fact-checks all news and stories, and if a story is proven false after publication, the magazine will retract it and provide a disclaimer outlining the changes. The original story will remain online for archival purposes, with a notice about the new facts readers should know.
If we accept travel or accommodation from a company, we will disclose it.
We reserve the right to correct any factual errors within an article when they are brought to our attention.
Writers who interview or have a relationship with a developer will not be assigned to review that developer’s product to ensure unbiased reviews.
CGMagazine does not do paid reviews under any circumstances. Paid features on a company or product will be clearly marked.
When covering a story, CGM writers will examine both sides. Any content based on rumour or speculation will be clearly stated.
Our writers do not use hateful language, slurs or derogatory comments against any cultural group.
If you believe a story has breached any of our editorial policies, please let us know.
