Opened in 1906 and expanded in 2007 and 2013, Suzhou Railway Station (Chinese name 苏州站, Suzhou Zhan) is located in Gusu District, 4km north of the downtown of Suzhou. It covers 157,000 square metres, and has 7 platforms, 16 railway tracks. Suzhou Railway Station combines both ordinary passenger train station (denoted with letter Z/T/K) and high-speed train station(G/D/C series) that serves 97 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day, including Shanghai-Nanjing intercity Rails.

Metro Line 2 and Line 4
Suzhou railway station can be reached by Metro Line 2 and Line 4. Metro train is mostly recommended public transport to get to or leave Suzhou Railway Station
The station of two metro lines is on B1. The platforms of Metro line 2 are on B2, and the platforms of Metro Line 4 are on B3
Line 2: the first metro train is at 06:20 and the last is at 23:20

Departures
Step 1: Get to the entrance of Suzhou Railway Station by metro line 2 or line 4, Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.
Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect paper tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Suzhou Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the paper tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals
