Meet our Founders

Pete Redshaw

CO-FOUNDER

Pete is a chartered geologist-turned-systems modeller specialising in probabilistic modelling of earth systems, agricultural carbon footprinting, and the use of earth observation and large datasets to drive high-impact environmental insights.

His experience ranges from developing global natural hazard and risk models for the UN, including the World Bank’s current global landslide hazard map, to disaster response in Sierra Leone and overseeing hundreds of multi-hazard assessments in Peru after El Niño flooding. He has developed agricultural carbon-footprinting methodologies and led the creation of advanced soil organic carbon models for sustainability projects.

Alongside his technical expertise, Pete brings extensive project management and stakeholder engagement experience, from fieldwork and community workshops to advising governments and commercial clients worldwide. In 2022, he co-founded Cirevo to focus on interesting, meaningful, and scientifically rigorous projects that drive real-world impact.

Jon Coello

CO-FOUNDER

Jon is an environmental scientist, data scientist, and software engineer with experience leading engineering, R&D, and product teams in startup and scale-up settings. His academic work spans carbon accounting, life cycle assessment, and advanced modelling at PhD and postdoctoral levels, with contributions to numerous scientific publications.

He has delivered projects for US and UK government departments on infrastructure resilience, developed national-scale models to inform long-term investment planning for HM Treasury, co-created a probabilistic programming framework, and built soil and ecosystem models to assess the impacts of agricultural practices.

Jon focuses on turning robust science into practical products, building tools that enable better decisions on today’s most pressing environmental issues. In 2022, he co-founded Cirevo to help green-tech innovators to develop impactful new systems with confidence.
