To commemorate the Jubilee Year, the National Conference of Religious India (CRI) organized a nine-week novena series, beginning on December 1, 2024. This spiritual journey focused on reconciliation, inspired by Pope Francis’s vision for the Jubilee Year. Each week, a different leader guided the prayer, reflecting on themes relevant to the challenges and hopes of today’s world. The response was overwhelming, with more than 1,000 men and women religious participating each week. Their active involvement and thoughtful reflections enriched the experience, making it an inspiring time of prayer and dialogue.
Week 1: December 1, 2024 – “Hope Does Not Disappoint Us” The series was inaugurated by Sr. Inigo, who centred her reflections on the enduring promise of hope. Drawing inspiration from St. Paul’s affirmation that “hope does not disappoint,” she explored five critical dimensions: • Individual Renewal: Encouraging personal introspection and spiritual rejuvenation. • Community Strengthening: Fostering unity and mutual support within communal settings. • Institutional Commitment: Urging religious and secular institutions to embody the principles of reconciliation in their operations. • Provincial Unity: Promoting cohesion and collaborative efforts across different provinces. • Parish Engagement: Motivating parishes to actively participate in and propagate the message of hope.
