Blog cover for "KiCad 10 + Fable 5: Rewiring My DEF CON SAO PCB for a CR2032" — an ornate open-book PCB titled "Magic, Dragons, & Smut / Chapter 34 / Morally Gray Main Board," with dragon wings, horns, a row of glowing red chili-pepper LEDs, a purple CR2032 coin cell, and a scaled dragon coiled at the base, on a candlelit desk of old books and amethysts.

KiCad 10 + Fable 5: Rewiring My DEF CON SAO PCB for a CR2032

Every time I post images of a finished SAO, someone outside DEF CON asks to buy one. Without a badge to power it, it's a pretty PCB that does nothing, so I pointed Anthropic's Fable 5 at the project files and asked it to cut the cord.

Bricked Head Case: A Two-Faced SAO PCB for DEF CON 34

LEGO minifig heads have two faces. I challenged myself to pull off the same trick on a printed circuit board. Twenty of these are coming to DEF CON.

Image contrasting rough hand‑drawn doodles with clean geometric design elements, paired with the caption ‘when you suck at art but still care about the design.’ The graphic highlights the difference between raw sketches and polished layouts, illustrating how a SKILL.md‑based presentation workflow can turn mood board ideas into structured HTML output even without strong drawing skills.

I Suck at Art. My SKILL.md File Doesn't.

I know what I want to say in code. I have no idea what I want to say in pixels or visual layout — and I waste hours pretending I do. So I built a reusable SKILL.md file with my mood board, style theme, layout rules, and code example patterns, and I drop it into every project. This is the contract that finally got me to ship. GitHub repo for VS Code Copilot skills that turn a mood board, or just a sentence, into a styled HTML presentation page.

Make Me a Sandwich: A Field Guide to AI Context

Type "make me a sandwich" into an AI and you could get a fifteen-hour Michelin deconstruction, a sudo command, or a hug from a stuffed bear. Same five words, seven different answers. Lesson 01 of AI Basics: why context — the invisible stuff around your prompt — is doing all the work.
