MEET THE TEAM

At Adler & Marlow, we don't just design tailor made trips - we craft stories, memories and moments that matter. Behind every itinerary is a real person who's passionate about making your journey unforgettable.

We're a small but mighty team of planners, perfectionists, food lovers, culture nerds and problem solvers - each with our own quirks, superpowers and favorite corners of Spain, Portugal and Morocco. What unites us is a love for travel that feels personal, thoughtful, and anything but ordinary.

Here's who we are - and why we love what we do.

DANNY ADLER
Chief of Culture, Curiosity & Culinary Detours (aka Founder & CEO)

Born and bred in New York City, Danny moved to Spain in 2007 and never looked back. A former chef in some of NYC’s finest kitchens, he swapped the pass for the plaza and found himself completely hooked on Spain’s culture, cuisine, and chaotic beauty.

After a brief (but well-stamped) chapter as a travel journalist - with assignments that took him from Zambia to Georgia - Danny put down roots in Barcelona. He started guiding food and wine tours, but it didn’t take long before he was running the show as GM of a boutique travel company. In 2016, he founded Adler & Marlow, built on the idea that travel should be personal, deeply local, and never cookie-cutter.

Since then, Danny has also become a dad to two brilliant girls - an experience that’s deepened his focus on creating journeys that work for every generation. He’s especially passionate about designing travel that keeps grandparents, toddlers, and everyone in between engaged, relaxed, and delighted. These days, he leads the business and nurtures our key relationships with agents and partners, ensuring A&M continues to grow with heart, and always close to its roots.

Fun fact: Danny still makes the world’s best tortilla - and no, he won’t give you the recipe.

HANNI MARTINI
Chief of Smooth Sailing (most days) (aka Head of Operations)

After nearly two decades in Operations, Hanni found her way into the glorious chaos of tailor-made travel. These days she keeps the Adler & Marlow ship sailing smoothly - overseeing operations, team culture, systems, and the occasional spreadsheet meltdown with a strong coffee in hand.

Originally from the UK, Hanni now calls Málaga home and brings both British pragmatism and Andalusian flair to everything she does. She’s the one making sure things actually get done - beautifully, efficiently, and always with the client in mind.

She lives for a perfectly curated itinerary, a Gilda with an icy vermouth, and that moment when a travel designer says, “I’ve got a wild idea...” and she makes it happen.

Fun fact: Our resident Andalucia expert, Hanni can be found in the Malaga section of the 2025 Lonely Planet Andalucia Guide. She’s fluent in Spanish, sarcasm, and Google Drive.

FIGEN HAZBAY
Head of Travel Design & Dream Delivery

As Head of Travel Design at Adler & Marlow, Figen lives in the sweet spot between spreadsheets and daydreams - turning wish lists into wow moments and making the impossible feel effortless. No two itineraries are ever the same on her watch, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Originally from Turkey and Portugal (though she’ll admit her Portuguese is more symbolic than spoken), Figen made the leap to Barcelona at 32 - packing up her life and moving in just four months. Before joining A&M, she spent over a decade immersed in the world of luxury travel, high-end rentals, and boutique hospitality, always with a flair for detail and a passion for creating experiences people rave about long after the plane has landed.

She’s the mastermind behind many of our most magical itineraries, and the reason so many of our travelers say, “This was the best trip we’ve ever taken.” Figen is also our resident Jewish celebration and heritage travel specialist, having organized more than a few Bar Mitzvah/Bat Mitzvah trips over the years.

Fun facts: Figen can pack for any trip - no matter how long - in a single carry-on. And when she’s not planning journeys, she’s behind the decks DJing electronic music into the early hours.

ANA MANESSIEZ
Senior Travel Coordinator & Master of All the Moving Parts

Born and raised in Lisbon, Ana now lives by the calm shores of Tavira in southern Portugal — though her workdays are anything but quiet. As Adler & Marlow’s Senior Travel Coordinator, she’s the powerhouse behind the scenes, keeping everything running like clockwork and ensuring no detail goes unchecked.

Before joining A&M, Ana worked across luxury hotels in Portugal and the UK — including a rainy but charming stint in Oxford that honed both her English and her exceptional eye for service. From F&B to front desk to reservations, she knows hospitality inside out, and it shows.

Ana is the calm in the travel storm — the one making sure bookings are confirmed, calendars are aligned, and every trip unfolds exactly as it should (even when the unexpected happens).

Fun facts: Ana has adopted an elephant and a rhino via the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya and shares her home with two very opinionated cats, Max and Bagueera. She’s also a lifelong Queen fan — if you hear faint harmonies on a team call, that’s probably Ana belting out Somebody to Love.

FREDDIE CROWN
Experience Designer & Occasional Vibe Consultant

As one of Adler & Marlow’s Travel Designers, Freddie creates itineraries that feel as good as they run - thoughtfully paced, beautifully balanced, and full of small, satisfying details. With a background in UX and years spent coordinating everything from school tours to food adventures, he brings structure, style, and a calm sense of control to every trip he builds.

Originally from Cheltenham, Freddie has called Spain home for over a decade - the last seven years spent in Barcelona, collecting local gems and perfecting his vermouth order. Before joining A&M, he worked across education, tour operations, and experience design. He’s the person people turn to when something needs to be seamless - and maybe even a little bit fun.

What he loves most is crafting journeys that feel effortless, even when there’s a whole lot of thought behind the scenes.

Fun facts: Freddie has an unexpectedly eclectic list of hobbies and a knack for finding the best local bar wherever he lands. He also throws a very good party.

BRIANNA GORDON
Dream Trip Designer & Curator of Feel-Good Moments

Originally from California, Brianna has called Barcelona home for over 16 years -  bringing West Coast warmth and Mediterranean soul to everything she designs. As a Travel Designer at Adler & Marlow, she’s all about crafting trips that feel good in every sense: thoughtful, joyful, and full of those “pinch me” moments.

With a background in hospitality, wellness, and experience design, Brianna’s superpower is tuning into what lights people up - and then turning that spark into travel. She’s guided people through Pilates flows, held space as a sound healer (she still does), and now curates journeys that leave clients feeling inspired, connected, and deeply relaxed.

She lives for the moments clients send back a photo with a simple “wow,” or tell her about a meal, a guide, or a view that genuinely moved them.

Fun facts: Brianna is a horse whisperer, a holistic wellness enthusiast, and a devoted seeker of golden hour — ideally with a glass of wine and a sweeping view.

GEOFFREY BEAUGRAND
Travel Designer & Local Rhythm Specialist

As one of Adler & Marlow’s Travel Designers, Geoff is all about crafting trips that feel more like slipping into the local rhythm than ticking off a list. He’s a master at uncovering hidden gems - boutique hotels, low-key legends, and authentic moments that bring the real Spain to life.

His path to A&M wasn’t exactly straight - it started with a semester abroad in Florence, detoured through New York’s hospitality scene (including managing a cigar bar for the stars), and eventually landed him in Madrid, where he taught English, fell for the culture, and made it home. There was a brief hiatus, but Geoff’s back in Spain for good - speaking Spanish, living like a local, and showing travelers the side of the country most never get to see.

What does he love most? Helping clients ditch the tourist trail and discover the magic hiding in plain sight.

Fun facts: Geoff’s first job in Madrid was as an unofficial bartender in a stylish cocktail bar (no work permit, just vibes). He also has a deep and abiding love for Spain’s old-man bars - the simpler the menu, the better the experience.

MAE LYNCH
Travel Coordinator & Detail Devotee

Originally from Ireland, Mae landed in the foodie paradise of San Sebastián and never looked back. Drawn in by the sea, the mountains, and the magic of Spain, she quickly made it home - and now brings that same sense of discovery and delight to every trip she helps bring to life.

With a background in events and group travel, Mae thrives on turning complex plans into smooth, seamless journeys. She’s fluent in Spanish (with a touch of French), has a serious eye for detail, and fits right into the A&M world of off-the-beaten-path, beautifully executed travel.

She’s passionate about culture, language, and those quiet in-between moments that make a trip unforgettable - and nothing makes her happier than hearing a client say it was their best holiday yet.

Fun fact: Mae’s always up for a detour - especially if it leads to a hidden tapas bar, a secret swimming spot, or a sleepy village tucked into the hills. Risky? Maybe. Worth it? Always.

MILENA VASQUEZ
Travel Coordinator & Head of Holiday Hustle

Born in Moscow, raised in Bolivia, and now happily based in Barcelona, Milena has always been that friend — the planner, the organiser, the one who makes things happen (and looks good while doing it). At Adler & Marlow, she brings that same energy to curating trips that feel joyful, effortless, and totally unforgettable.

With a background in creative advertising and the music industry, Milena knows how to build experiences that flow — whether it’s a perfectly timed travel itinerary or an event that hits every note. She thrives on bringing order to chaos and loves knowing the details she’s finessed behind the scenes will turn into memories clients will be sharing for years.

Fun facts: Milena is a foosball champion, a garden designer, and a wedding DJ — though sadly, not all at once. Unless you ask very nicely.

...so then who's MARLOW?

Marlow is a man of many mysteries and raw talent...an accomplished family doctor, remarkable amateur chef, Missouri based winemaker (yup, they have wine there...), expert tailor, gifted architect, code cracker, an ever curious renaissance man...and most of all Danny's late Grandfather.
