Dean Filion, DO ’91, director of sports medicine at New Jersey Spine and Sports Medicine, has built a career around his passion. From treating athletes of all ages to providing medical care for the New York Giants through three Super Bowls, Dr. Filion has experienced some of the biggest moments in sports. Still, one opportunity he never expected was the chance to work on the biggest international stage in sports: the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
For Ezinne Ogbonnaya, PharmD ‘22, MPH, a career in pharmacy is about far more than medications. As a registered and resident pharmacist with CVS Health, Dr. Ogbonnaya is passionate about making meaningful connections with patients and improving access to care—values that began taking shape long before she entered the profession.
Tim Hendricks, DO ’21, chief resident at Naval Medical Center – San Diego, CA, has always been passionate about cross-country running, competing at both the high school and collegiate levels. After a several-year hiatus to focus on medical school, Dr. Hendricks reignited his passion for training and competition during his fourth year at PCOM amid the COVID-19 pandemic—a journey that ultimately led him to compete in the 60th World Military Armed Forces Sports (CISM) Cross Country Team World Championships in Pyli, Trikala, Greece.
Bruce Feinberg, DO ’82, has carved out a unique space in the media landscape, blending medical expertise with accessible public education. As the host of the popular radio show and podcast “The Weekly Check-Up” on 95.5 WSB Atlanta’s News and Talk, Dr. Feinberg has created a trusted platform that helps audiences better understand complex medical topics.
Dr. Tidwell faced trial after trial on his journey to medical school, but through grit, tenacity, and relentless hard work, he ultimately saw the fruits of his labor flourish. Now a full partner at Vituity, a physician staffing company, an internal medicine physician at Adventist Health, and a senior military advisor for the Army, Dr. Tidwell is committed to passing on his knowledge and wisdom to prepare the next generation.
Dr. Lam has built a career defined by authenticity, exploration, and a commitment to giving back to future physicians. As president-elect of ACOS, he is preparing the lead the organization while continuing to impart this knowledge on residents and medical students.
A past contestant on American Ninja Warrior, Dr. Rives combines her physical training with her PCOM education to deliver mobile, specialized physical therapy to help women restore their physical health.
For Ms. Lucas-O’Dennis, nutrition has long been a unifying force in her life—both as a way to bring family together and a personal passion that has followed her throughout her professional journey. That passion took an unexpected turn when she auditioned for MasterChef.
