Employees can link Aadhar to bank account and activate UAN till 15 February 2025

The deadline for the activation of Universal Account Number (UAN) and linking Aadhaar with bank accounts has been extended to 15 February 2025 by the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). This extension allows employees who are eligible for the Employee Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme to receive their benefits via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), provided their bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar. Initially set for 15 January 2025, the deadline was pushed back through a circular issued on 6 February 2025. To benefit from the first-time employment scheme introduced in the 2024 Budget, employees must activate their UAN and ensure Aadhaar is linked to their bank accounts.
