G.E.N.E. (formerly g.maxim) is a Washington DC based DJ/Producer with 36 years of experience behind the decks. His journey has taken him from the "Golden" era of the Southern California underground scene from the early 90's to the 2000's, playing along side many legendary DJ's of the time. Presently in Washington DC, G.E.N.E. has continued to grind within the DC Underground scene continuing to play his brand of underground dance tunes that bring an esoteric vibe to the dance floor. He is also the label owner of Enman Recordings, a vinyl only imprint that released it's first 12" in 2024. In 2025, he launched an digital imprint, Hibiku Underground Recordings.
