Born and raised in Geneva, DJ and Singer Mara grew up surrounded by dancehall, reggae, dub, dubstep and drum & bass sounds. DJ, author, composer, and performer, Mara produces drum & bass patterns with french west indies sounds, topped with bold lyrics. She built her reputation on stages from Geneva to Paris, as well as on MOUV’ (Radio France), where she hosted a weekly one-hour mix from 2018 to 2022. Even though Mara has gained popularity with her shatta songs (dancehall from French West Indies) over the years, she is also a host on top of being a full time dj and producer. She runs her own record label and curates her own party : the Foulamerde parties with a wicked selection of drum and bass, jungle, dancehall, and dubstep
