LAU (Pronounced /lɑu:/) is Laura Fares, an Argentinean singer, songwriter, drummer, producer and prominent figure in the Synthwave and Retrowave scenes, currently based in Barcelona, after two decades in London. Her music blends Retrowave and Synthpop with a strong 80s influence. In a past musical life, she wrote 3 albums for NINA and she drummed for some big pop stars like Sam Sparro, Ricky Martin, Clean Bandit and Taio Cruz. LAU's debut single Stunning has over 2.3M plays already, included in her debut album Believer. LAU’s second album Circumstance released in 2022, reached #7 in the UK on the Apple Music Electronic Album Charts.
