I feel in a year with Fury Road & Ex Machina, The Force Awakens is a bit of an eyebrow raiser. I mean, its good. But not Fury Road good. EDIT: Oh, and The Martian of course. Good grief.
I'd never heard of Miracle Mile and bought it because of the year it was made. One of the best blind buys. Great time capsule, whoa, look at the size of that phone! It's an excellent film.
Miracle Mile really is a great film if you shut your mind down and accept it for what it is -- Armageddon cheese! It's one of those wonderful films that captures a consecutive night (Like "After Hours" and "Into the Night") with tons of interesting characters, moments, quotes, etc.
