I personally loved this film. It had some good and bad visuals but the good stood out more to me than the bad. The story was good enough. If you liked Jurassic Park 3 and the Worlds you can enjoy this.
Despite the movie's extremely mixed reviews, I still went ahead and pre-ordered this! This could be one of those movies where I may enjoy it more than most people did!
Good premise, disappointing execution. Adam Driver wasn't what held this back.
They had the opportunity to showcase accurate believable dinosaurs in a mainstream movie that wasn't Jurassic Park franchise, instead they went for a lot of tired tropes. It's one of those movies where while watching it I kept thinking of more interesting things they could've done with it.
Poor direction, pacing and squandered effects resources and an overall lousy script held this one back. Adam Driver was fine. Inventive, interesting storytelling was extinct here. The beginning of the film borrowed heavily from the much better film "Pitch Black". So many WTF moments in this one!
