I had the pleasure of editing this book for the talented Mrs.Jones and it is is amazing. All of your questions get answered and there is NO cliffhanger. The story is full of twists and turns and ridiculously HOT sex. Luke Carmical, aka LLC, is a book boyfriend of epic proportions! Mrs. Jones has taken what was already an amazing talent for storytelling, and matured and grown. Her writing is refreshing and real. A must read!
Full review- As Kim’s editor you may think that I am biased when it comes to reviewing her work, but I wouldn’t be her editor if I didn’t believe in her as a writer. And Kim is an amazing writer and storyteller; both drunk and sober. Making the Cut answered a lot of questions and resolved a lot of issues from the first book and the reveals were handled fantastically. Luke and Dallas have a scorching hot relationship, but it has been plagued with club business and others’ interference. Dallas has grown so much since we met her in Saving Dallas. In the beginning of this saga, no one liked Dallas. Which was totally understandable, what with her being the bitch that she felt she needed to be to protect herself. Luke, and the Club, show Dallas another way to be and she steps up and shows that she understands the loyalty and love that come with life in the Club. Dallas deals with a lot of heavy shit in this book, and Kim Jones did a great job of handling the emotional turmoil of the characters while also keeping me riveted on what would happen next without dragging out the angst or taking away from the love story between Luke and Dallas. Kim Jones is a talented new voice in the Indie book community and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. I am confident that whatever she writes will not only be a great story, but will be scorching hot. Kim writes damn good sex scenes that never fail to make me hot and bothered. I am waiting just as impatiently as the rest of her readers for Saving Dallas: Forever which we can expect by early 2014. Maybe sooner, if I get my way in convincing Kim that letting me lock her in my guest room until she finishes writing is a great idea. I promised to feed her and everything. I’ll keep you posted on my efforts. Read more reviews @ www.rawbooksonline.com
I'm so glad this book was released. I was even more so when I saw their story would continue. I'm so excited. I wanted to experience their homecoming and Dallas & Maddie's reunion but maybe in the next book. I'm glad we found out the importance of Maddie. I sure didn't see that coming. I love Luke. He's just so strong! I cried when he got his cut back. I cried when Dallas got hers! I wasn't expecting the Charlie twist. My emotions where right on with the characters in the book. I felt like I was there with them. I love all the ol'ladies. Red is my favorite but I was glad to meet Brooklyn. I like her too. I loved the family aspect of the MC. I really like that. So again, I'm really excited there will be more. Cannot wait and I hope it's not too long.
This book took me forever to read. I am a "all-nighter" kind of book girl, but reading this book felt like I just ran a long ass marathon. I don't do marathons.
I am gonna be blunt and say it. I really do not like Dallas. And Luke? Gosh was he a jerk ? I was team Luke 100% when I first read Clubwhore. Now? I am dreading to read book 3. Will I do it? Yes, I bought it, and I have come so far now.
Now, that my frustrations has been let out, I will say that it was not all that bad.
A lot more clubhouse business was going on in the second instalment, and I finally got the whole "this really is a MC book"- feeling. Points for that! ( It didn't feel like an MC to me in the first book).
We got a lot more answers. Was also really needing that. The storyline was alright, but because I simply cannot make myself care about ANY of the characters, I just can't seem to like the book. Also, nothing peaks in this book either.
I guess they all seemed fake to me. Does not matter if it was an old lady, a brother, Luke, Red etc. It just seemed to me that their friendship wasn't genuine, and every single one (besides the dog) seemed two-faced.
And Dallas' newly found feelings for her sister? I was not buying it... (a little frustrations slipping back in, so sorry people. I am not normally this much of a jerk)
Read: 20/09/2017 Genre/tropes: MC POV’s: Multiple 1st person Cover: 2 stars Will I recommend: No
I hardly ever give such a low rating but if any book deserves the single star it is this one. The editing was so bad in this sequel to Saving Dallas that at one point the narrators pov for the start of a chapter was wrong and it took me about 10 minutes to realize that the person speaking was supposed to be Red and not Dallas. There were so many contradictions in this story that I felt constantly confused. For instance in at one point Dallas thinks to herself that no one in the club trusts her when she says she didn't know about Paul's association with Frankie and then literally 2 SENTENCES LATER she is saying how she knows they all trust her to be telling the truth! What??? Then how about when she can't wait for Luke to go away because she needs time to figure out if she loves him or hates him and then 2 seconds later is talking about how much she loves him and wishes he was with her. Huh????
The editing in the first book was awful as well but at least the story was interesting. This story was just a watered down MC story that didn't make sense at all. Sorry.
WOW! I mean I don’t even know if I have the words to express how much I loved this book! I read the most amazing, thrilling, and action packed book today. It was Making The Cut by Kim Jones. This is the second book in the Saving Dallas series and has NO CLIFFHANGER, but it does leave it open for there to be another book later. This is NOT a stand-alone book. You must read the first in order to understand what is happening and who’s who in this book. I actually highly recommend even if you have read the first book that you re-read it before cracking this book open because you’re gonna need a refresher.
This book begins where Saving Dallas left off. Dallas discovered everything Lukas had been hiding from her about being hired to protect her years before they officially met. Dallas feels the overwhelming sense of betrayal not only from Lukas but from all the members of the Club members she was beginning to think of as family. Dallas knows she loves Lukas and she will end up forgiving him because she just cannot see her life without him in it. But she starts to find out more and more that she wasn’t aware of and it begins to send her over the edge.
Dallas had been through so much in such a short amount of time that it was hard for her to get her feelings under control before she would find out there was another piece to the puzzle. The secrets and motivations of Frankie, her father, the Mayor, and Lukas’s father start to unravel and it’s a lot to process. At times I felt like this was a murder mystery and I was trying to see if I could put it together before Dallas figured it all out. I should have known Kim wouldn’t make it that easy. She did such an amazing job of keeping Dallas and Lukas’s relationship a major part of the story but also adding in the mystery and action throughout the book.
My adrenaline was seriously pumping the whole second half of the book where everything starts to fall into place and you begin to understand the motivation behind her would be killers as well as Lukas’s motivation for protecting her as well as falling in love with her.
I cannot say enough about this book! I loved absolutely everything about it! I'd rate it at 5 Stars and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone! There is no cliffhanger but you MUST read the first book before starting on Making The Cut!
Another well written book by Kim Jones; the sequel to Saving Dallas. As in the 1st book, the story line kept on track. A lot of love, heartache, twist and suspense. I want from disliking characters in the first book to feeling for them in this book
I truly loved this story and give it another 4.5 stars
Dallas Knox- the snotty rich bitch damsel in distress and Luke Carmichael –the beautiful arrogant knight in black leather, President of Devils Renegades, come from two different world
One buys what she wants and does what she wants and refuses to be told what to do while the other has a responsibility to his club and will not allow her to interfere with the way he runs things. Is the love they share worth changing who they are?
“I can’t just make you my ol’ lady. I refuse to do that. In the position I’m in and with the shit we have going on right now in the club, I will not bring someone in who will complicate shit. The choice is entirely up to you. I will train you, the girls will help you, but you have to know that this is my lifestyle. I won’t have you around as just my girlfriend. I want you as my supporter and I want you to agree to this life and make it your life, too.”
“That includes Maddie, and some of the girls you have met before. Any hang-arounds or women the club keeps around for private entertainment. The guys will be there and we need bitches to show them a good time. Is that going to be a problem for you?"
“I don’t know what I what,” I said a little too bitchy.
Afraid to be molded into someone she is not sure she is or not, Dallas must question and make decisions- is her love for Luke worth the dangers and complications these two face?
Secrets are revealed about who Maddie is and what her relationship is to Luke and the club.
Luke will have to make the ultimate decision over choosing club family over love when his club is put in jeopardy over Dallas’ past and Frankie's need for revenge. Dallas will have to make the ultimate sacrifice if she wants to prove her love to Luke.
Awe I was really into the first book. This one had me mad. I lost Luke, didn't care for him anymore. I thought he was an asshole. He is such a jerk to Dallas. After not trusting her and then she runs off and gets assaulted and hung up to dry, do you think he could say he was sorry? Or he puts his hands on her, nope no real apology there either. I also started to feel like Dallas needed a good therapy session. The author kept alluding to the fact that Dallas had a past that she was not ready to share with Luke yet, somewhere this storyline just dissolves. I felt like some of the sex was a bit fifty shades- c'mon the passing out from orgasming. Then err, So annoyed when suddenly Dallas is wagging her tail and has her tongue hanging out at every female she sees. Suddenly she is bi curious?? WTF I didn't want this to go there.
Then the saddest part, the editing. I would have given this 3 if it was not for the editing. This is the worst editing I have ever read. I got confused on who was speaking, whose perspective an entire chapter is supposed to be from.
I think that Kim Jones has a good story to tell. Somewhere in this it was here, I wish I just kept getting the story here. When the story was on it was good. It was just when we started to get into Dallas's thoughts and the editing this went south fast:(
While I liked how Dallas was more integrated in the club, I hated that it seemed like there were the same issues with Dallas and Luke as the first book. It was all, you need to accept my way or the highway ways from Luke and Dallas stomping her foot shouting out why, I should matter too. Things only got a bit better towards the end when everything was on the line and Dallas and Luke had to make some important choices, ones I think were the right ones to make.
The story picks up where it left off in the first book… but this time, secrets are revealed. While Dallas is still dealing with the aftermath of Frankie’s assault… she is also dealing with all the lies…. and if it was even an option to return to the way she was before Luke and her new family, the Devil’s Renegades Motorcycle Club.
This book is HOT!!! Luke is definitely the man!!!! The things he’d do for the people he loves…. he is amazing!
Dallas’s character has grown big time in this book. The once high and mighty rich bitch has finally humbled, she has finally learned to accept and understand the kind of loyalty and love that comes in the life of the club. She’s finally accepted that the club is her family.
The story is pretty edgy…. seems like the couple never gets a break! Dallas and Luke will surprise you in this book. The story itself is full of surprises.
I would hate to be Luke when he was ask to chose whom to save…. just one of the many scenes that was heartbreaking.
I love the ending! Definitely not a cliffy. But I wanna read more about their homecoming, their life after….
Written in multi POV… It is hot, action pack, suspenseful, emotional and romantic. A biker romance lover must read!
Luke loved him in book one loved him in this book him and his hotness, "he was shirtless and seemed to have just showered. He stood up and smiled at me and my eyes drifted from his face down to where his gray sweats hung low on his waist." I mean I missed my boy, "Luke looked like he had not missed a workout. His abs rippled down his stomach all the way to his V. His arms looked bigger than I remembered them, and the tattoos that ran down them seemed to have grown also." Yea...I missed him. He's still blunt, "you feel so good, baby. I love looking at your perfect a** while my co** slides in and out of you." Ho-ly s***. If I could have gotten wetter, I did. "I love seeing your sweet juices on me. I love tasting it on my lips, and I love the way your pu*** tightens around me when you cum." I think he loves his woman. And he's very considerate always offering to take one for the team, "you sure? I don't mind effing you until you pass out." We got a lot more point of views in the book, and some shockers so I was pleased with reading about Luke and Dallas.
Oh LLC - you have just made your way to top of the list for my favorite biker boyfriend!!
Book 1 was sooo good, but left me with lots of unanswered questions, so I was very happy to finanlly get to read book 2. Dallas is still her sassy self, but is starting to get the hang of how things go in the MC world. Luke is still sexy, dominant, and hard but has a sweet/softer side (at times) when it comes to Dallas.
So much was happening all the time that my head was spinning, but in a good way. You were kept on your toes the entire time. Danger, hot sex, smokin' hot dominant biker, messed up families, fights, kidnappings, laughing, crying, fear, hope .... what more could you want?!!
This was a true emotional rollercoaster ride and well worth the wait! The twists and turns keep you guessing and holding your breath. I was fanning myself, holding my breath, screaming at my ereader, and then near tears at the end. What a amazing story!! - Tynna 4.5 kisses
4 stars. This second book was so much better then the first. This was a good, hot, steamy, sexy read with plenty of drama, twists and turns. Looks like the series could continue but I was not left with a cliffhanger.
If you enjoy biker romances, then you should consider reading the Saving Dallas series that centers around the erotic and intense love story of real estate mogul Dallas Knox and President of the Devil’s Renegades MC, Luke Carmical. These two individuals seem to live in completely different worlds and would most likely never have met until Dallas gets lonely after a recent break-up, goes out looking for company, and ends up as a damsel-in-distress until her knight clad in leather intervenes to rescue her and draws her into the fascinating but bewildering mc lifestyle that Dallas must accept and adapt to if she wants a life with the domineering, complicated man whose gentleness and love she desperately craves.
In the beginning, Dallas is a cold-hearted, self-centered, very conceited young woman whose wealth and success in real estate have given her everything that money can buy except love and family, which she doesn’t even realize she needs until Luke comes into her life. Needless to say, I did not like Dallas at all, and I kept wondering why Luke, who seemed so kind and gentle with her after they first meet, would want to keep seeing her. The connection between the two runs much deeper than even Dallas knows until secrets are revealed later in the story, and I soon realized that my initial characterization of both Dallas and Luke was much too simplified.
As President of a MC, Luke is used to women falling all over him, clamoring to become his ‘ol lady. He is attracted to the brassy young Dallas who has the confidence to stand up to him and is unimpressed by his status. Yet, one night with Luke isn’t enough for Dallas; she finds Luke intoxicating even though his constant mood swings are enough to give her whiplash. Luke can be tender, loving, and playful one minute and harsh, dominating, and possessive the next as Dallas aptly describes him in Making the Cut:
“Luke was a man who lived a lifestyle where he had to be two different people. If you took bipolar, mixed it with PMS, and added a touch of testosterone, you would get Luke. He was overbearing, intimidating, scary and unpredictable. He was also sexy, sweet and charming.”
Luke and Dallas have a complicated and rocky relationship that spans the course of both books. Dallas continually wavers back and forth over whether she can ever become a part of the club. Her assertiveness, confidence, and strong-will are all traits that have helped her to become so successful in her career, but they have no place in the MC world where women are treated as decorations and expected to be quiet and submissive to their men. No matter how much Luke loves Dallas, the future of their relationship is contingent upon her “making the cut”:
“I can’t just make you my ol’ lady. I refuse to do that…This choice is entirely up to you. I will train you, the girls will help you, but you have to know that this is my lifestyle. I won’t have you around as just my girlfriend. I want you as my supporter and I want you to agree to this life and make it your life too.”
“You are with me and everyone knows it, but before I put a cut on you-letting everyone know that you belong to me; you are gonna have to earn it."
Saving Dallas is told from Dallas’s POV and the majority of the book focuses on her blossoming romance with Luke until the latter half where her life becomes endangered leading to an intense and suspenseful climatic outcome as secrets are exposed that make her question whether her relationship with Luke has been as genuine as she thought. As soon, as the first book ended, I had to jump into the second book, Making the Cut, which I think is even better than Saving Dallas.
Making the Cut picks up with the aftermath of the first book’s dramatic conclusion that left me with lots of questions about Dallas’s significance to the MC club, and how she is connected to Frankie the Cutter, a dangerous man intent on destroying Dallas and anyone that tries to protect her. Now, instead of just getting Dallas’s limited POV, we also get both the perspective of Luke and Red, a hard-core biker ol’ lady who tries to befriend and mentor Dallas. Having these multiple POVs adds depth and enriches the plot giving readers greater insight into life in the MC and the tough choices that are often made in the best interests of the club.
I really enjoyed watching Dallas’s character grow and soften over time as she spends more time around Luke and the MC family. Dallas and Luke’s journey to be together is fraught with danger and full of complications that threaten to keep them apart. In order to find their way back to each other, they must be willing to make sacrifices that will forever change their lives.
I received ARC of both books from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Didn't like this second book as much as the first, felt like Dallas lost quite a bit of herself in the process of getting closer to Luke & his motorcycle club family. Dallas knows the truth, that Luke has been following her for years & keeping her safe, that there were some dirty dealings with the Mayor & her life was in jeopardy. Dallas is also dealing with Frankie tying her up in the barn & assaulting her. She can't seem to let Luke go, even though she feels hurt & betrayed. One thing she doesn't question is Luke's love for her. More secrets came out of the woodwork - Maddie is part of the club & she is consistently mean & resentful of Dallas - we learn why & it forms the backbone of this book & really saves it, makes it much more intriguing. Maddie has a young boy, Logan, & Dallas is immediately taken with him. When the local motorcycle clubs get together it is like one big happy family, children underfoot too, at least during the daytime. At night it gets super freaky & we see a different side of Dallas, a very hot side while she watches Linda the beautiful stripper! Loved this part! While Luke is trying to get his hands on Frankie he contacts Charlie, an old acquaintance who unfortunately has some harm in mind for Dallas, Maddie & Luke and his entire club. This is when I grew to love Dallas again because she uses her business instincts and gets Charlie on her side. Luke says that he can't make Dallas his Old Lady - she has to earn it by showing that she is worthy just like the other women in the club. Dallas seems to be focused throughout the entire book on supporting Luke and keeping her place, even if that is 10 steps behind Luke & subservient at times. My feelings for the book went up and down but I am still in love with Luke & Dallas!
4 stars. I really thought I was going to give a little more stars, but...Here goes my review, I know it took me long, but it is time. I guess since I am have a bad day today, I just do not want to reflect it with my review. In the last book, Luke was saving Dallas. Okay Dallas found out about the secrets, the betrayal, the money, the ugliness of her father business strategy. But still Dallas is still bougie, stuck-up, conceited, Bitchy as a MOFO! Regardless of him saving her not once but twice and she is still hanging up on her stupid person all high and might, (give me a F-in break) ENOUGH! Okay the book just different whereabouts and who the F)(&! is Charlie? Maddie, another stupid girl with a chip on her shoulder towards Dallas but at least she didn't fake that she didn't like Dallas. But at the end she started to understand. Red still is my girl, even though she still wanted to be a badass but she was a softy inside. Besides of the girls getting paid to be Dallas friend that was wrong but understandable for her to be safe. Lindsey My girl, regardless. Love the speech that Luke said to her, very warm and Alpha Sexy at the same time. Brooklyn, that is my Shero, she kept it real from the beginning and she was the Alpha Queen to all of them, what she says it's the Law and who ever do not like it Fuck it! Cheers to the author. And I apologize if I have offended anyone with my review, but like I said, I am not having a good day today, and this is my point of this book. I will read the other book of this series, to see if Dallas come down that dayum high horse of her. Cheers and Kudos to the author. Keep them coming. Still Love you! P.S. Love the F-in Cover, so Sexy and Sensual!
Saving Dallas: Making the cut, is the second book of the Saving Dallas series by Kim Jones, you need to read the first book Saving Dallas before reading this one.
Dallas and Luke are couple happy in their relationship, but the more that Dallas learns about being the girlfriend on a Pres of a motorcycle club the less she is sure she can handle. Sure she is used to wheeling and deal in the business world, but that's for property not for lives.
sure they both have secrets, there is LOT that Dallas doesn't know, there are some serious issues that they are both going to have to work out. they just have to be strong enough to want to try. As the truth comes out, Dallas questions everything that Luke has every said and done. She is wondering if the friends and "family" that comes along with Luke really are their for her or because Luke told them to be. She is trying her hardest to fit in, it will ultimately be up to her to see if she can make the cut.
Luke KNOWS that he should have told Dallas the truth, that he has knows who she is for a lot longer then she has even known him, but what he did wasn't just for her, but for his club as well.. nothing has meant more to Luke then his Club, until he has to make the ultimate choice..
I really liked the first book of the series, and usually book 2 is kind of a let down, but this is so not the case in this case, I loved book 2 more then I did book 1. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series, hopefully we won't have to wait to long.
Holy hell!!! If I didn’t love Luke anymore… I think I just handed my heart over to him on a platter. Just take it, Luke. You’ve had it from your first spoken word. I honestly think Kim Jones is trying to kill me with Luke’s mood swings and sexy as sin romantic tendencies. For the first time in a very long time, I have been jealous of a fictional character!
Making the Cut picks up right as we left off with Dallas and her backstory secrets spilling out like rain from a spring storm. There were so many times I actually gasped as the plot cards were laid out that I ended up with a sore throat after finishing this book. We do get a little bit of a surprise with Red’s POV being added to this novel. Having that spunky, foul mouth biker queen’s view makes this literary marvel closer to perfection. From tears to swears to straight up swooning, Jones kept me on the edge of my seat and drooling for more. I do love how in depth Jones takes the MC family life and shows the brotherhood side more than most other MC authors. Now… onto Book #3!
Holy Crap I LOVED this book!!! I devoured this book within a few hours!! I just could not put my kindle down :)
This book picks up right where Saving Dallas left off. I love Dallas and Luke (I just cannot get enough) I'm glad that a lot of questions was answered in this book. I just couldn't figure out Maddie but wow...didn't see that one coming. Glad to see they are starting to work on their relationship, hopefully we will get more of them in the next book.
Was not expecting the whole Charlie thing but wow, what a twist!! I'm glad the whole Frankie thing finally got worked out although in a way, you kinda feel sorry for him by that point to an extent.
I love all the members of Luke's MC, even all the ol ladies. I loved getting more from Red and Reggie. Hopefully we will get more from them in the third book as well.
Was so glad that the guys gave Luke back his cut and I loved that Dallas got hers as well. This book doesn't end on any cliffhangers just leaves you wanting more Dallas and Luke :) I would def recommend!! Hurry up book 3 :)
We have all been waiting for this one. Will Dallas embrace the MC and the family? Will she forgive Luke for his lies? All is answered, more lies are revealed, and a lifetime of secrets are uncovered. The MC has more drama than it can handle trying to find Frankie (and War), and keep everyone safe in the process. Dallas has to let go of the life she thought she wanted and except the MC family in front of her, or walk away alone. But walking away from Luke and the MC will not make her life safe. Luke and Dallas are just plain HOT together, there is no other way to explain them. I fell head first into this one and read it in one sitting. The surrounding cast of the MC are great additions to the storyline, we get to see several POV's, and it adds a lot to building the world that Dallas and Luke live in. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there are more kidnappings, and violence in store for the MC in this one. Can't wait to read the next one!
This is the continuation of the previous book Saving Dallas. In the first bok I thought that Dallas was a snobby rich prissy bitch and got everything that was coming to her. However in this book I changed my opinion when she stated that she should not judge a book by its cover. I think that was the smartest thing that came out of her mouth. I loved Luke but his domineering shit just grated on my nerves. I liked the tough take no shit attitude that Dallas came out with in this book after the shit that happened to her. I think my opinion of her went up a few degrees for that alone.
In this story we still see that Frankie is quite alive however there is still a shit storm headed their way. The club isn't as solid as it was. I think after this that it would have cleared shit up well I was wrong. I am grateful that she is tough because this book just tore through her like she was tissue paper.
Overall I loved it and cannot wait for the conclusion.
I loved this book. There was a lot more adventure and less getting to know you in this book. Luke didn't tick me off as much and Dallas seemed to better understand her role in his life.
We get a lot more of the history between Dallas and Luke. There was more to the story than I thought. I had no idea what had been going on. I'm sure there were hints in the first book, but I missed them.
I had a lot more anxiety reading this book. Between the kidnapping, assault, and trying to figure out what Luke was keeping from Dallas, I could hardly put this book down. I was so afraid, that at any point, either of them would say they were done. At the end, I was afraid that Dallas would sacrifice everything for Luke's safety. did it work out in the end? You'll have to read to find out.
I can't wait for the next book. I'm also hoping for some spin offs (Hint, Hint)
I was given a copy of this book by the author as part of a blog tour in return for an honest review.
One chapter confused the heck out of me. It stated that it was Dallas's point of view. And at first I thought they had copped out, and fast forwarded to after she was saved and was just gonna give us a quick review...but thankfully that wasn't the case. Then I wasn't sure who's point of view it was. I think it was Reds.
I really though the welcome party was going to go little differently. spoiler: But, it worked out nicely.
I'm glad the first book was a cliff hanger...I might have missed out on this one. And wile I enjoyed the first 2, not sure I'm up for another Dallas ride. I'd rather hear about some of the others. Like Red or Maggie, with Dallas and Luke on the side.
Man I love Luke!!! Total devotion to the woman of his dreams and his soul mate. He and Dallas are so perfect. They both have the correct amount of attitude, however both know when to apologize after going to far. When you find out his secrets and the level of love he holds for Dallas...... I mean damn! The man is sex on legs. You'll get to learn what Maddie's deal is, and you'll love Logan. Brooklyn is great, along with Red. And all the guys are wonderful. What a great family. Can't wait for the next book to see what happens. Looking forward to getting a wonderful romantic HEA from that hot man Luke. Also wondering if Charlie will make another appearance. Not sure how I'll feel about that, but I know it will be great no matter what.
I love Kim Jones' writing but for some reason in this book I started to hate Dallas and hoped she got taken again. She was whiny and annoying. I still liked Luke but how, in real world could she deal with all the secrets. I get that she was accentuating herself into the biker MC lifestyle but really?
That said Ms Jones writes well written characters both primary and secondary. Vivid scene imagery. I just couldnt connect to Dallas in this book after loving her strength in book 1. Yes I know she was through a lot but I still found her annoying.
On to book 3 and hoping for a great conclusion to series
Don’t ask me why I read this book. The first one was a disaster, so I have no good reason to spend money on this. Perhaps I wanted to see if the second book would be as bad as the first, or perhaps is my obsession to follow every series I start to the end! Who knows, I certainly don’t. Anyway, I was happy to see that the book was somewhat edited before publishing and the characters were developed a little more than in the first book. It still needs a lot of “beef” but it was definitely a step in the right direction, especially after book 1.
