As far as indie paranormal novelettes, I have not read anything better. I have read the entire series, they just seem to get better and better. While I do find occasional errors, the errors are minor and inconsequential to a wonderfully told story. I love RaShelle Workman's writing style, character development, and ability to pull me into a story so completely that I am genuinely shocked when the novelette is over. I wish the stories were longer but they are a perfect miniature dose of excellence.
After being unconscious for two years, Snow White has finally awoken. what's surprising is that she wakes up in pretty much the same condition as when she fell asleep, I.e. no muscle atrophy. Upon waking, she is greeted by all her favorite men in her life and a birthday cake too. It becomes clear that a lot has changed. Gabe is now the leader of the Chayot. He is on a mission to kill the Hunter that turned Snow into a vampire only to have him walk in the door. The tension is palpable with it being everyone against Christopher. They all blame him for everything that has happened.
More has changed than the group dynamic though. Snow is now more than a vampire, but I don't know what she is. She has more power than anyone knows which she very quickly has to test in order to try to save Christopher's life. What will happen next?
At this point I am incredibly confused! Snow is finally awake and we aren't sure if it's because Silindra's journey came to an end, or because Dorian (maybe) kissed her. We start seeing Gabe with Cindy and honestly, I am upset with both of them. What a crappy friend! If there was a "Bro Code" for girls, she would have totally violated it. And Gabe. How the expletive do you call that "brotherly" or "sisterly" love? We have to turn our emotions back to Christopher, who in a way I like...but in another way I don't trust the guy at all. There's just something about that guy. I'm not sure about him. In the meantime, the plot continues to thicken and we think it may be implied who Snow's true love is. But...is it?
Snow is awake! Telltale Kisses leaves us with Snow waking with all her boys around her. I was unable to figure out if she was awoken because she reached the end of her journey with Silindra or if it was because Dorian kissed her. Is Dorian her true love? There is some connection there but I definitely feel a much stronger pull to Christopher. I love him! He's hot and sexy and delicious and where can I get one of my own?! The end of this installment left me gasping in surprise and shrinking in horror. Thank goodness it was short lived! Much more is learned and many more questions come to light. I love this series! It's so full of surprises!
I enjoyed this book but I think there getting shorter n shorter? There doesn't seem to be as much info in them asn there was in the begining. I do love this series very much and I also read book #10, just waiting to read the last two. Even tho I don't want it to end i want to find out what happens.
Once again I was left screaming no at the book! can't believe it, I got so wrapped up the the story that I'm left in total shock to turn the page and find out its the last page!!
(Source: I own a copy of this book.) This was another okay instalment, although we once again got some info-dumping. We did find out a bit more about Snow and what being marked means for her, but we also got another cliff-hanger! Overall; another okay story, 6.5 out of 10
Another great novelette! The story line is built deeper and deeper! It is great to have Snow awake! Still wishing it was a full book, but I am loving the story as it develops!
Slow start but an amazing end. Snow is now the vampire queen. She defeated Shara and freed all the magical creatures. She's found her true love Dorian, and got her mother back, whom she thought dead. But something great happened. The gem in which held all 7 magics from 7 magical creatures merged with Snow's blood and Dorian's blood. And with the love the two of them shared came......you'll have to read and find out.
Sérii Blood and Snow určitě doporučuji.
So I’m going to review this entire set all together because really each installment was just too short to stop and write a review. I don’t think I would’ve made it all the way through if I had done that. That being said, I enjoyed this series for it’s straightforwardness. There were times that Snow went back and forth between men, but I think it was always pretty clear that her true love was going to be Dorian. I picked up on it by the time I hit Revenant in Training. So much happens in the series, but I will say that there was great character building especially for everything being set up in such short novellas. For being so many installments it was a surprisingly quick read, and I did enjoy reading them. I would recommend just buying the complete set instead of buying each one individually especially because it was obnoxious having to keep moving to the next one. I just wanted to be able flip the page! Overall, I would give the series 3 stars. It wasn’t spectacularly amazing, but it was a good quick read that I did enjoy overall despite it being a bit juvenile.
What just happened? What did I just read? That ending man, it just comes out of nowhere.
Snow is back :) Everyone is happy, it's her bday. Life moved on without her :( people changed. Things happened. It was sad, her dad's gone, she's living with her neighbors/friends/real family. Her BFF is dating her ex BF ( don't get me started on that mofo), she's older, the guys graduated high school, her fave hang out place closed. She has to catch up.
There is an expected person there, who she immediately goes to. I'm like "in your face Gabe". She let's them know what happened to her, and she learns what can happen to her and everyone she knows including the other Chosen. Snow is still trying to figure out what to do next, when we learn of a possible new power, when something terrible happened.
I really liked reading about their reunion :) except for that ass of a Gabe, forget you Gabe, he's just rude. Anyhow... great book. :)
I'm thankful these books are only $0.99. If they were any more I wouldn't have bothered. The story is still engaging. The errors in grammar have diminished and spellchecker is finally being used. I have to say I was excited about the new revelation in Snow's love life, but again it ended too quickly. This edition, in what feels like an episodic tv series, was unusually short. I'm looking forward to this story ending so that I stop wanting to spend even the $0.99 on these sub-par books that have confusingly interesting story lines and child-like, tantrum throwing immortals and mortals alike.
So, Snow wakes up and gets to know what happened during her two years beauty sleep (lol xD). And we finally have some Dorian & Christopher sexy scenes, booyah! But, yet again, everything happens so fast! And Snow gets used to everything as it was the most normal thing ever. Like, hell, no! She's "oh my gosh, WHAT?!" and a minute after is "oh, it's okay, is how it should be". Besides, proffesor Pops wants her to finish her studies... Really? I mean, she's a vamp. In danger. Hunted down by Sharra. I think she already has enough problems to deal with, Pops.
This series keeps getting better!! Snow is awake!! I'm confused if it's because Silindra is finished with her or because of a kiss. But it's not a super pressing question and if it gets answered, great! If not, meh that's ok too. It aappears spell check is being used (finally!) and grammatical issues have been fixed. I'm glad I got these all as one purchase. I really feel like it could have been half as long and been 6 full size books. I'm not sure why they felt the need to stretch it out into 12 novellas.
I like the books that take place in the human world the best. This one did. Still trying to figure out who Snow' s true love is. Will forge through.
I was glad to finally figure out what book came next after reading a bundle. It would be better if these short stories were combined into a series of full length novels.
These stories are good (not great) and way too short. I just read this one start to finish over my 45 minute lunch break. I even had 5 minutes or so left over. Not sure if I'm going to keep purchasing them for 99 cents a piece. They were better in the beginning.
Snow wakes up from her 2 year nap and everyone comes to see her. Gabe is weird around her, Cindy feels bad that she's in love with Gabe. Everyone else seems pretty normal. Christopher is apparently not dead and they all realize there are a few things different about Snow.
SOME questions were answered and the plot thickens, but once again Workman has dragged me into a too short novelette. The "books" are feeling but choppy... But I'm hooked
