All she wanted was one last summer at the beach house...
When the unthinkable happens and Claire Thompson’s husband dies suddenly, she’s left wondering how to go on. Being a wife and mother is all she’s ever known. Grieving and lost, she decides to take her family for one last trip to their beach house before she’s forced to put it up for sale. The house is filled with happy memories, and it seems like a great way to remember Bryan.
But as she soon finds out, Bryan was harboring some complicated secrets. The kind that will change the lives of Claire and her daughter. And those secrets come to light while Claire is at the beach house, shattering her memories and making her realize she never really knew her husband.
How does she move forward with these new revelations? How will her daughter cope? What will become of them now that they know Bryan wasn’t the man they thought he was?
Claire can only pray things work out for them during their last summer at the beach house.
Absolutely love this series. Hate having to wait for the next book! That being said I feel like this one ended in a choppy way. Like the storyline cut off. This book was good don’t get me wrong but it felt different as I was reading it. I feel like the summer is dragging and not much time has moved in this book and very little accomplished.
I have enjoyed this series by Maggie Miller, and look forward to the next two. BUT, I'm not sure that this book was up to the standard of the first three.
If I could give this book a 0 stars, I would. Unbelievable living situation, unbelievable characters, unbelievably long dialogue that gives too much detail and yet achieves nothing… terrible all the way around.
I am always sorry when a book ends in an ongoing series because I have to wait to see what happens next. I want to hear about Willie's wedding, the salon start up and the new bakery. I want to know about the release of Jules and Cash's song. So much I want to find out about! Can't wait for the next,t book!
Unlike most book series this one just keeps getting better. We took a turn toward more serious in this book. My characters are facing issues a some real problems. Hurt and betrayal mix in with the pain and shock of loosing their husband and father. I’m so involved with these characters, I feel like a member of the family.
I chose this book because I LIKE to read without all the ugly language that so many authors think that they need to use. Maggie Miller is a very talented writer and makes the storytelling flow easily.
I like the women how strong they are and how they over came soon much hurt and distrust in a man who was supposed to there soul meets. All 7bof the have baggage but there raising above it. A messed read if you enjoy clean writing and great plot.
I had been enjoying these stories but all these extra wives and a skivey lawyer that covers it up. Ugh. These stories are a fun fantasy, but all the wives is a little much. . If you like food, this author is obsessed with food but she does give recipes soooo.
I enjoyed the continuation of the story. Sometimes I had to stop to remember who everyone was after a few sentences, I was able to connect to the plot I'm looking forward to the next book
Another wonderful book in the series. I’m enjoying watching the characters come together, overcoming their demons. Now as they characters start a new chapter in their life’s, I’m excited to see what comes next for the two families.
I am enjoying this series including this book. The families are going back to their houses to pack up and get ready for a permanent move to the beach. Love is also in the air.
I have been recovering from a procedure and the Diamond Beach series is getting me through some sleepless nights or creating them! It took awhile to get used to all the different story lines but they are like family now. You root them on and pray for the best.
Another hood book i. The series. Things are happening fast now. Trinas hair salon is off to a good start with the remodeling. Willie and Miguel make a big announcement
This series does. Not disappoint you . the women have decided to remain in Diamond Beach. They are all going down different paths hard to but Maggie Killers book down
I absolutely love this entire series so far and this book was just as wonderful! I love how everyone is evolving. Great character development! Great read!
Life at the Beach House moves forward, with ups and downs for all the women and the men they’re getting to know and love. Fun, beach read with plenty of romance, drama, love, laughter, and family.
Another great book in this series. I love how all the characters continue to appear in each book. We learn more about each character as the stories unfold. Love this series.
