* This holiday series is a spin-off from the Four Kings Security Universe. It's recommended that you read the Four Kings Security series, as well as The Kings: Wild Cards series before reading this series as these are established characters who have previously had their own books. The shenanigans begin with Love in Spades, Four Kings Security, Book 1 (Colton and Ace's book).
Charlie Cochet is the international bestselling author of the THIRDS series. Born in Cuba and raised in the US, Charlie enjoys the best of both worlds, from her daily Cuban latte to her passion for classic rock.
Currently residing in Central Florida, Charlie is at the beck and call of a rascally Doxiepoo, and a very opinionated German Shepherd bent on world domination. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found devouring a book, releasing her creativity through art, or binge watching a new TV series. She runs on coffee, thrives on music, and loves to hear from readers.
Okay, first things first, I’m a huge Charlie Cochet fan but when I heard she was bringing the Kings back for a quartet of M/M Christmassy goodness, I was honestly asking myself why?!
That was my first mistake.
As it turns out, this story was EXACTLY what I needed to boost my Christmas mood this holiday season, delivering a smile-inducing, funny af, heart-warming story, showcasing some of Cochet’s best contemporary characters in a very festive story of love and generosity of spirit.
My second mistake was to assume that the focus couples of this quartet would be the original Four Kings themselves, but again, I was wrong in my assumptions! I was absolutely delighted to realise that the four focus couples in question were actually a mix of the Kings and the Wild Card heroes—and probably my favourite couples of both series at that! Lucky me!
Not So Silent Night sees the Kings, the Wild Cards, and the “boyfriend collective,” as they leave their busy lives behind to travel to the Christmassy town of Winterhaven—a gifted holiday treat from billionaire of the group Colton and his hilarious hubby Ace (from Love in Spades).
Once in the picturesque, Hallmark-inspired Christmas town, the group realise they’ll have to put their individual skills to work in order to help the unexpectedly struggling town to reclaim its legendary Christmassy glory. It’s all hands-on deck, but it’s also the guys doing what they do best—putting in the work, supporting each other unwaveringly, and making others shine.
It was good fun to be back with Colton and Ace, the latter always providing constant laugh-out-loud moments with his antics and one-liners. As a couple, Colton and Ace are among my top faves I’ve read by Cochet, and even though I wasn’t expecting this story, I’m damn glad I got to spend more time with these characters.
Their mission to restore Winterhaven before Christmas is in full swing by books end, but it’ll be fun to see what shenanigans this group get up to next in Sleigh It Ain't So (Jack and Fitz’s story, from Stacking the Deck).
NOTE: There are a whopping 12 very present characters to keep track of here—6 well-established couples, across two interconnected series, plus a bunch of scene-stealing furbabies! If you’re unfamiliar with these characters, I can only assume this whole thing would be too confusing and overwhelming to attempt (but I could be wrong—don’t listen to me). As for fans of these couples, this story/latest spin-off series is a no-brainer and sure to brighten your spirit this holiday season, with a story that is full of heart, laughter, and love.
I'm not sure exactly where the location of this story is supposed to be set. The King's Security Offices are in Florida, in a town called Winterhaven, so... I know the town of Winter Haven...I was born and grew up in Florida...but this Winterhaven (note different spelling) wouldn't need to be reached by air, and it certainly wouldn't have snow!
Anyway, that unimportant bit aside, this was a short little gem of a story featuring all the King's Security bunch. Billionaire Colton Connolly, the CEO of Knight's Security wants a traditional white Christmas, so he gathers his husband, the rest of the men and the dogs and flies off to Winterhaven to fulfill that dream. From the time they arrive nothing is exactly what it should have been. A winter storm has damaged the little town, especially the Ice Palace, the biggest draw for tourist for the town. This isn't going to deter Colton from fulfilling his dream...it's Christmas and IT'S GOING TO BE A WHITE ONE, darn it!!! He sets the men working with their various talents on repairing the town...and he and one of the others along with the dog set out to acquire a Christmas tree...not just any old Christmas tree...oh no. This will be a 10-ft CHRISTMAS WONDER!!!
Now our Colton processes many, many talents, but he has never used an axe in his entire life. After finding this wonderful tree...he has to be sure that it isn't "occupied" by any forest residents. He climbs the branches and finds there is indeed one resident, and it IS NOT a "happy camper"...Colton meets the tree-resident, a squirrel...a squirrel that has every intention of remaining in his chosen domain and proceeds to rid his tree and his forest of this two-legged intruder...the two-legged "thing" that doesn't even have a tail!!! All's well that ends well even though Colton's and his ego do come out a bit on the bruised side.
Charlie Cochet has managed to squeeze so much joy, love, goodwill and humor into these 140 pages. Even if you don't particularly care for the M/M romance genera...you will certainly appreciate this little Christmas treasure. I certainly did and hey... it's not even October yet:) I'm on to the next one Sleigh It Isn't So.
An adorable short holiday read, this one focusing on Colton and Ace for a 100 or so pages.
For years, Colton has wanted a winter wonderland type of Christmas. Which can't happen in the perpetually hot Florida. So when his husband gives him an idea, Colton books him and his family to stay in Winterhaven, a picturesque little town that has snow for Christmas and everything.
When they get there and they discover they're the only guests/tourists for the holiday season, they find out it's because the town hall, which is also the Ice Castle where they hold all their fun events for the holiday season, lost it's power during a big snow storm, as well part of the roof being damaged and causing a leak.
That also meant they had to call their vendors and the like and tell them to cancel their orders because of that. And some also couldn't make it because of the storm as well.
When Leo points out that Colton owns a very successful shipping company, and he and Gio are mega rich, with contacts and favors owed and all, the family pulls together to try to give this town, and them, a Christmas to remember.
Of course there's the usual antics with Ace being Ace. With Fitz being called a "fluffy pomeranian" with the big ass coat he's wearing, and then a "bear wearing make up" by a little girl from the town, chasing Ace when he didn't get fed breakfast. Also Leo and his spacy mind leading to the rest going on a search for him - of course he turns out to be just fine and safe.
Then there are the sweet moments between Colton and Ace - as well as funny, because of course - as well as some fun sexy times.
These series of short novellas are just gonna be a fun, holiday read where we get to come back to our King men and their loves. This one technically ends on a "cliffhanger" as the storyline of helping the town pull off a last minute miracle to be ready for guests will be continued in the next one. But it's so low stakes that the tag didn't seem needed.
Cute, fluffy antics with the Kings and the Boyfriend Collective as they all head to a Christmas village for the holidays, only to find the place in a bit of a mess and needing fixing up following some bad weather.
It's a fun, easy read, but there are a LOT of characters to keep track of and it's very much something for those already familiar with them all.
Definitely hearing Greg Boudreaux's voice in my head when reading!
Charlie Cochet's books never fail to make me happy. "Not So Silent Night" was the perfect Christmas novella: it's fun and lighthearted, hilarious and sweet and romantic, and absolutely packed with found family feels. Every time Colton or Ace said "our family" I MELTED.
It was so great to be back with these characters: Ace was absolutely hilarious as always (I love that chaotic goofball with my whole soul <3), and I loved all the group interactions as well (also, Joker, you're still my fave; I can't wait to read your novella *jumps in excitement*)
I'm so excited to read the next books in this Christmassy series.
It was so fun to be back with the King's and catching up with all of my favourite couples. Coltin has arranged a holiday for them all, and they are staying at a winter village. When they get there, things aren't going great at the village, so they decide to help save the village.
One of my favourite bits is when Ace and the Boyfriend Collective go to the woods to get a tree. Let's just say that it turns into Ace vs. Squirrel, and it's hilarious!
Ace and Colton have such a beautiful relationship, even with Ace being, well, Ace! Colton and Ace work in sync with each other, and they are just so kind and caring, not to mention hot as hell!
The rest of the gang is a long for the ride. A certain fish snack loving guy named Leo is up to something, and I bet my guess is wrong as usual, but I will find out in the last book.
Audiobook review The Kings: Tremendous Christmas series, it brings all the cozy Christmas vibes with a dash of suspense and classic Cochet humor.
The story centers around the fun, feisty, and fabulous characters of the Kings Security universe. Expect plenty of laughs and sweet, swoon-worthy moments as the Kings team navigates a holiday season packed with antics, thrills, and, of course, a bit of romance. Greg Boudreaux’s narration is stellar as usual. He brings each character to life with warmth and charisma, making the story even more engaging. His ability to capture the humor and tenderness of Cochet’s writing style adds depth and richness to every scene.
If you’re looking for a holiday read that’s light, fun, and filled with Christmas magic and suspenseful twists, Not So Silent Night is a must-listen! 🌟
Oh this was so funny. You can count on Ace to do something outrageous. Colton being the sweetie that he is, wanting everyone to have a fun and festive Christmas was the best. The town they go to makes you envision every single Hallmark Christmas movie. I can't wait to read the others and see if they can pull off a Christmas miracle.
Cute! Witty! Adorable! A Christmas story for the Four Kings characters! These guys are all charming and lovable. Unfortunately, this book dead-ends - meaning you have to buy the next book in the series to see if it brings closure to the story.
Okay, I'm not a huge die-hard fan of this series and I have trouble letting go with the fantasy. This is how a 12 year old imagines being rich would be. You just rent airplanes and helicopters, take a month off work, and can get everything shipped in a day if you throw enough money at the problem. There are the whole crew so a lot of people to keep track of but they go to a "perfect" small town only to find out the Christmas vibe is cancelled because of a big storm so they all chip in with buckets of money and manual labour to help. Okay, fine, but I just didn't care all that much. I probably won't read the rest as it seems that each couple has their own tale to tell here, but I know the lovers of the series probably found this delightful and that's great. Fans should gets little tastes that make you feel good, it's just not really for me.
While this turned out to be a good book, I was confused at first. There were so many in the family but it was hard to figure who went with who. A little background would have been very helpful.
My teeth are hurting from all the sweetness...first time I have heard former service men call each other by those terms....sorry couldn't get thru the whole book🆘🆘
I'm not going to say I forgot how much I loved Ace, Colton, and the whole Four Kings gang because it wouldn't be true. I remember it all, all the zaniness, the chemistry, the friendships, the found family, and of course the love.
I'll admit that I read the original Four Kings stories when they were released but sadly I got away from the spinoffs when the pandemic and lockdown really screwed with my reading mojo. Late this summer my mojo finally started to return so I've already got the spinoffs on my 2024 Reading Bucket List. I mention this because not all the couples were known to me but that hasn't stifled any enjoyment so far of The Kings: A Treemendous Christmas holiday series. Love the tweaking of "tremendous" in the series title BTW, so very Ace and his brothers-in-arms quotage area😉.
So onto Not So Silent Night.
Honestly, I'm not going to say too much about the story so that I don't accidentally spoil anyone's personal discovery of The Kings and Boyfriend Collective holiday destination vacation. I will say that I can't think of a better holiday scenario for this group of friends and lovers that have become family.
This first entry shines more focus on Ace and Colton but all the characters are there and they each bring their own brand of quirky. OMG the squirrels! Some couples lose a little of their luster as time goes by but not these guys and certainly not Ace and Colton, I think the chemistry that brought the pair together has only grown and radiates even more brightly.
I can't review Not So Silent Night without mentioning the squirrels, referenced above. Ace fears very few things other than losing Colton and his brothers-in-arms and the found family they are . . . EXCEPT for little furry woodland creatures, i.e. squirrels in this story. Hey I get it, squirrels are EVIL! Three years ago they not only chewed through the wires on my Christmas lights, they actually tried to carry off some of the sockets and bulbs like they do the black walnuts out of my neighbor's tree. Just evil! But Ace? Well I'll just leave it at this: I'll never unsee the big burly former military and current security expert in the oversized tree he was attempting to decide on for the family Xmas tree flailing away trying to defend himself from the squirrel attack(in his opinion) as they perched on his head. That scene alone made my day and the constant teasing from his friends is priceless.
As I mentioned in the beginning I only read the original Four Kings stories so not every character is familiar to me, I don't think you need to know their original journeys to enjoy these holiday treats(I've only read the first 2 so far as the last 2 have yet to be released😉) but I believe a few references and looks between characters would make a more complete picture had I read The Kings: Wild Cards but I was never lost. Definitely a win-win to get you in the holiday mood.
This series of novellas was everything I wanted in a Christmas read and more. A perfect blend of schmaltzy Hallmark vibes, adorable romances, small-town charm, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic - all wrapped up with Charlie Cochet’s trademark wit and warmth.
Each novella adds to the story, switching POVs between couples and offering all the romance and humour you’d expect from the Kings with an added cosy Christmas vibe. The tension comes from the crew trying to save Winterhaven’s Christmas after disaster strikes their famous ice castle, but there’s none of the action or drama from the main series—this is all about love, laughter, and holiday joy.
Highlights: Merry’s awkward but endearing crush on Noel had me giggling and swooning, especially when he blurted out that line about not thinking about sex.
Ace & Colton’s sleigh ride was pure romance perfection.
Leo’s secret scheming with Santa was so much fun - and the reveal? O-M-G, I cried.
All the little hints of Christmas magic added a delightful sparkle to the story.
And Ace… well, he got up to all the shenanigans!
Each novella brought something special:
Not So Silent Night – The crew head to Winterhaven for a snowed in Christmas. Ace does Acey things, Colton plays Christmas saviour. Leo secretly schemes with Santa.
Sleigh It Ain’t So – Jack is a workaholic butthead even on Christmas holidays (don’t worry, he redeems himself), Fitz plays match-maker, and Gio works his magic to save Christmas like a boss.
Home for the Howlidays – Nobody has figured out what Leo is up to yet! Ace breaks Joker. Joker buys a gorgeous gift for Gio. We finally find out what Leo was up to and O-M-G! Love! It's a cliffhanger, but it's okay, we get the rest in the next novella.
Rebel Without a Clause – We go back to the beginning of the Winterhaven Christmas to see it through Leo & King’s POV. I loved the opening scene from Leo's POV, he's so adorable. Leo obsesses over fish-shaped sweets. Chef's kiss!
I read this a couple of weeks ago, and writing this review made me cry because I loved it so much and it was nice to relive my favourite moments. If you’re a fan of Charlie Cochet’s Kings, this is an absolute must-read. And if you’re new to her books, what are you waiting for? Go dive into the Kings or THIRDS - you won’t regret it!
What to expect: 4 Christmas novellas: Ace & Colton, Jack & Fitz, Joker & Gio, Leo & King The novellas are 4 parts of the same story, told from the POV of different couples The Kings & Wildcards crew with the boyfriend collective Snowed in Small-town Hallmark Christmas vibes A little Christmas magic 3rd person POV Doggos! Ace shenanigans Christmas match-making - Merry & Noel “Chocolate Chip Cookie”
I'm going to write one review for this series and basically post it to all of them, because really this is just one big lovely holiday story about all the Kings/extended Kings/and the boyfriends.
I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this world and the idea of all of these guys just getting away for a little bit. Of course nothing can be as simple as all that in the Kings world.
Of course it's Colton (Not so Silent Night) who gets the big idea to finally have the white Christmas he's always sort of dreamed of having. And Ace will do anything to give his man the big family white Christmas of his dreams. So, King's reluctance or not they're all going to be going Winterhaven for a month and indulge in all the Christmas traditions the town has to offer. It can't be that smooth of course as the poor town's about to have a pretty un-stellar Christmas as their town hall/Ice Castle was damaged in some foul weather and they've had to cancel most of the holiday plans. Hello to all the guys as they have the perfect plan to save Winterhaven's Christmas.
Fitz (Sleigh it Ain't So) and Jack pick things up and fixing the wiring and the electricity to the Ice Palace quickly begins to show the cracks in their relationship. Fitz would do anything for Jack, but Jack's workaholic coping mechanism is driving a wedge between them that Jack is oblivious to. Sprinkle a little Christmas magic though and Fitz can find more happiness than ever, and bring along another couple along the way.
Gio and Joker (Home for the Howlidays) were always two of my favorites and by this point all of the dogs are an additional crack up. In trying to get more people into town, Gio's got the perfect plan and it brings Joker face to face with his biggest fear in their relationship. That now that Gio's health is managed he's going to want more to his life and return to the jet setting philanthropy lifestyle he's always known. Of course facing those fears will have the two closer than ever.
And running through it all is Leo's (Rebel without a Claus) secret plan that no one's party to, but somehow involves Santa, or at least the town's mayor who looks like Santa. He's got something big planned for King and is determined to accomplish it all on his own.
I loved all of the shenanigans in this story as everyone pulled together to save this town's biggest event and it brought all of their relationships a little closer together. I would have loved to see a little more of what Leo was up to (ok so I really wanted to see his interactions with Santa, especially the first one), but all in all this was a lovely Christmas story that had me smiling across all four books.
This is a joyful and sexy read, full of the Christmas spirit
Rating: 4.5🌈
It took me a while to remember who all the couples were in Charlie Cochet’s Not So Silent Night, the first part of her The Kings: A Treemendous Christmas series. But once I jumped into the chaos that’s the found family of the Four Kings Security family and their partners/ husbands known as the Boyfriend Collective, including three dogs, it all quickly came back together. I soon remembered how much I enjoyed the couples and this wild, action packed romantic universe Cochet has created around them.
It’s Christmas and from the perspective of billionaire Colton as he surveys his home he shares with husband Ace, as the group tries to pull together the perfect holiday decorations. It’s obvious that something extra special is needed as it’s just not happening as he’d hoped.
It’s a quickly booked month long holiday to the perfect Christmas getaway, Winterhaven. Which means nothing will go off as anticipated to the delight of the reader and amazement of everyone else involved.
Winterhaven is a Christmas town in need of some miracles, some of which can be supplied by the newly arrived Four Kings security group and the Boyfriend Collective who set out to make things happy and bright!
This is a joyful and sexy read, full of the Christmas spirit, for Colton and Ace, and the other couples joining in the help each other and the town celebrate Christmas. It’s got dogs romping through snow, matchmaking, snappy dialogue, and sexy moments between couples. Just everything we need and love about the series.
I’m hurrying over to the next one to see how the rescue is going. This is a definite recommendation for fans of the series and holiday reading.
THE KINGS: A TREEMENDOUS CHRISTMAS - [x] Not So Silent Night #1 - [ ] Sleigh It Ain’t So #2 - [ ] Home for the Howlidays #3 - [ ] Rebel Without a Claus #4
NOT SO SILENT NIGHT A TREEMENDOUS CHRISTMAS BOOK 1 CHARLIE COCHET
The Four King's security firm owner by King, is made up of a group of former Green Berets; brothers-in-arms. In the four books that makes up their stories, they each find their perfect loves to offset the stress, PTSD and other issues. The whole found family is boisterous, fun, and chaotic in a good way - it's the family that Colton inherited when he got with Ace. The family he always wanted. As Christmas approaches he wants to give them something special, and surprises them all wish a trip to Winterhaven; the perfect small-town Christmas destination. Colton has been dreaming about having one of those TV small-town Christmases for years, and now the King's 'men' and the Boyfriend Collective are at Winterhaven. So of course Ace has ordered them all to 'be merry', or else. The town is famous for The Ice Castle, where all the festivities take place, and when the group find out the town is in a bit of trouble - the practical kind, not the needing gun fights kind - Colton steps forward on a mission to help the town and give his family the perfect Christmas. This is part one of a four part seasonal series though it does end its own arc, and it's full of laughter, adorable sweetness, steam and joy. Colton is an organiser and is in his element helping the town resolve it's issues. There's lot of mayhem and disorder but somehow we know it will all be ok. We get hints of what the next three books will focus on and meet two wonderful new characters in Noel and Merry. Not having read the original books, I had no problems getting to know all of these characters. This really was a sheer joy to read.
I didn't think I was a big Christmas romance reader, but break out the Christmas sweaters and cocoa because this sweet story has converted me! The Kings, Wild Cards, and Boyfriend Collective are an energetic and chaotic bunch on any day, but put them all in a small town with a mission to save Christmas and they were a force to be reckoned with. I had so much fun seeing all the silly holiday shenanigans they got up to, and I can't count the number of times I laughed out loud while reading. Colton and Ace were the focus of this story, but with everyone in such close proximity there was plenty of entertainment to go around. From Ace facing off against a new furry threat to Colton's adorable Christmas surprise for Ace, there was something to laugh or awww about from start to finish, and the whole thing had such an uplifting holiday cheeriness. The little bits of angst were quickly resolved, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone band together to make Winterhaven's holiday season a success. And of course, it wouldn't be a Kings book without some hot as heck steamy bits and a magical happy ending that melted my heart. I can't wait to read all the other holiday stories and experience the hilarity and cuteness that will surely continue on with the rest of these lovable couples.
**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.
It was so good to be back with these crazy guys. Colton has always wanted a real Christmas like in the Hallmark films he likes to watch, but living in California doesn’t quite match up and so he decides to arrange a Christmas getaway for the whole gang, hiring a beautiful massive cabin in a small town noted for its Christmas festivities and for its snow.
As usual nothing goes according to plan and when they arrive they find the Ice Castle, the centre piece of the town and the place where all the fun takes place has been damaged in a severe storm and everyone has cancelled their vacations.
The guys step up to save Christmas for the town each using their unique sets of skills acquired when they were a special ops unit in the military but not without loads of banter and antics that had me snort laughing. I think the little girl telling her mom that she just saw what she thought was a bear in the woods was my favourite and Ace is still very definitely my favourite klutz. He gets all the best lines, has no filter and drives all the other guys mental, although they love him really.
If you are looking for short fun Christmas reads then look no further and if you have read the previous Kings and Wild Cards books even better.
Not So Silent Night by Charlie Cochet is the first novella in the The Kings: The Treemendous Christmas series. Colton Connolly loves his family and is excited for the holiday season but has decided to take it to a new level by booking a luxury cottage in an idyllic small town. Winterhaven is right out of a Hallmark movie but are they ready for the Four Kings, Wildcards and Boyfriend Collective?
What a fun holiday novella involving our favorite guys! Colton wants to give the gift of the white Christmas experience to his family who provides so much love and guidance throughout the year, especially his unpredictable husband Ace. But when the town is facing hardships the entire gang is ready to step in utilizing their skill set. I love the balance of the steam with laughs that these books always bring me. Who doesn’t like holiday cheer with a side of Ace craziness?
4 stars for Colton starting the gang down the road towards a Hallmark holiday.
This is the first of four novellas set in the Four Kings Security universe and is likely best enjoyed by fans of the Four Kings/Wild Cards series. With the Kings: Treemendous Christmas series, the scene is set for joy. Ace is determined to make all the found family fall into line, to ensure not only that Colton’s generosity is respected, but that his beloved husband gets the magical white Christmas holiday his Hallmark heart has always dreamed of. I loved how these guys, who have always seemed so married to the job, take time to celebrate and plan fun things to do with each other, and as couples. Fans get to see more intimate moments for four of the seven couples, plus the books are built on lower-stakes conflicts that are solved through teamwork, instead of the high danger situations that connected the Kings and Wild Cards with their men.
This book is the Kings and the Boyfriend Collective as their best.
It's the first novella in the Treemendous Christmas story and it starts with a bang.
Sweet and considerate Colton is only wanting one thing, giving his family a white Christmas with all the trimmings. But what happens is exactly what you expect when you bring these guys together. The book is so much fun and it shows all the characters at their best.
Being tasked by Colton to rescue Christmas when he realises that the town is struggling, it just brings out everything these guys stand for and so much more. But as usual, it wouldn't be the Kings if there wouldn't be a disaster or two added to the mix.
This book is very much Colton and Ace as the main characters and they are as sweet together as they were in the first book they appeared in. The ending is just the cutest ever and absolutely fitting.
Charlie has done it again, with giving us another amazing MM read! She is and will always be an auto-read for me. I love all her books and this one is no different. She brought me back Colton and Ace from ‘Love in spades’ four kings security series 🤤 As well as all the other MCs in four kings series and wild cards series. The love and friendship these men have for each other is really amazing 🥰 This was a Christmas novella holiday read and Charlie brought back the shenanigans they always get up to, especially Ace 🤣 as well as the disasters that always happen, and of course what romance book isn’t without a spicy scene 🥵 I’d definitely recommend this, but you would need to read four kings security and wild cards series first to understand the story and characters ♥️ But I promise all the books are entertaining to read and you will not regret it 😍
* I received an ARC of this book for an honest review*
The Four Kings Security guys and their other halfs are back for some Christmas hi-jinx.
As Colton surprises husband Ace and the rest of the family with a trip to Winterhaven. A winter wonderland. Where he hopes to have the Christmas, he's always dreamed off and sees every time he watches a hallmark movie.
Only he doesn't expect to find the delightful small town devoid of tourists and Christmas festivities. But unfortunately that's what happens when a snowstorm hits.
Yet, Leo is desperate for the town to get back on its feet. So, Colton offers to help and repair the damage the storm caused. Enabling Winterhaven to provide the Christmas experience they are famous for.
That's if Ace can survive his one job....
Getting a Christmas tree!
And with so many shenanigans. This is just the start of what is a super adorable story. That ended on such a cute note. And made me want to read Colton and Ace's story again.
Not So Silent Night is the first of 3 Christmas novellas in The Kings Security universe, and what a funny, romantic start! Colton wants to give his husband Ace and his King Security Brothers and the Boyfriend Collective the Christmas of their dreams, so he whisks them all off to Winterhaven, but when they discover that the Christmas celebrations and the town's livelihood are in danger due to bad weather and the town's iconic Ice Castle's disrepair, Colton and the rest of the gang jump in to help... and sweetness and romance, and hilarity ensue - a starving Fritz vs Ace and Ace vs squirrels had me laughing out loud. Not So Silent Night is a sweet, charming story, with just enough heat, and it was nice to "catch up" with Colton and Ace and the rest of the Kings and their respective loves. There are 2 more in novellas in this series, and can't wait to read them.
Charlie has given us a King Christmas Story. If you’re hoping that everyone is involved you won’t be disappointed. This story starts off with Colton wanting to celebrate Christmas with his found family. We are taken to a town of Winterhaven. When they arrive they find trouble in the winter wonderland. In true King fashion, they set about to fix the problems that are plaguing Winterhaven. We are given all the things the Kings are known for. We get a multitude of laughs that include almost all of the Kings. We get to watch Leo scurry around creating a mystery that will continue in the second story. This book focuses on Ace and Colton. We get a little bit of Colton’s history and we see why family is everything. If you’re looking for a sweet Christmas story, this is the book for you.
