I will be begging (Royal would be proud) for book two. This is one story I will return to because it’s intriguing and creative and weaves its way into your soul. You just don’t want to step out of a tale like this.

I knew I'd love this book. From the minute I saw the type of book it would be (no blurb or cover revealed till later and still I signed up for it!).
And now... Yup. Author Heather Beal gives a very detailed list of TW in the beginning. It's there for a reason. On a lighter note tho.. I would advise against reading in public (without access to somewhere private!) or if on audio, keep that volume low and be sure to be the only one with access to the controls!! 😉
After being abducted by The Monster, abused and held against her will for years, raena finally escapes. And becomes The Hunter. Burying all the emotional scars she's determined to wipe out the Kingsmen - the gang led by the Monster, who all took pleasure abusing her. She is taken in by a local group led by Snow who help her learn new abilities to get her Revenge. When she feels ready, she sets off home to Shadow Forest.
Upon arrival it's no longer the home she remembers. The kingsmen rule cruelly over everyone and the people live in true fear. Going into the local bar she finds her childhood best friend Ella, who actually turns out to be a a wise cracking, cursing, tattooed badass! Couldnt be more of a perfect friend for Rae right now!
Despite her newly learnt stealth , she gets attention after her third kill. The Monster, who is Kingston Wolf wants whoever is killing his men caught and send his sons after them.....
Alek, Royal and maddok AKA the Shadows work against the nightmare that breathes violence over the town and it's people. They try to get to this Hunter first.
They come across Rae first not realising the small red headed female is the hunter...
The attraction is instant between all four. It literally causes the pages to sizzle. Very much instalust!
Once the lust has been thoroughly checked out between all of them, (and Im including swords crossing which makes it even more extremely hot to read!), they begin to talk about themselves, find out about Raes past with King, more is spoke about the Shadows and how they came together. They begin to plan.....
This is where my info stops! I'm not going to tell you anymore! Except the story gets deeper and more connected with little Twists that make the story that little bit extra. With the connection the attraction gets hotter and the scenes are so well written, it's almost like your there... But you're not...! *sob*😉😂
As a debut novel it hits the right buttons!
But the cliffhanger!!!!!! Nooooooooo!!!,
Need book 2 ASAP!!! Be prepared to feel like you're left hanging with no clue as to what's gonna happen!!!

What a great dark, spicy, twisted retelling of Little Red Riding Hood! I waited months for this debut novel and it was worth the wait! I absolutely loved it!! Had me in all my feels and what a page turner! Beautifully written! We are left with a deadly cliffhanger and I need book 2 now!!

This is one of my favorite books that I have had the pleasure of reading so far this year.
Nothing would make me happier than to see everyone read and enjoy this book as much as I did.
This is a wonderfully dark retelling of some classic fairytales. It is so hard to find a good retelling anymore that doesn't have too much predictability. Heather has absolutely succeeded in doing that with this book. I was enraptured with this story from page one, and I stayed hooked right up until the very end.
The plot twist is sure to catch some folks by surprise, and all four main characters are going to have many many readers fall in love with them. The spice is *chef's kiss.*
Please read this. If you love dark romance, especially read this. I can guarantee you, it won't disappoint.

This is a vividly intoxicating dark fairytale retelling full of deliciously spicy RH content, that will have you at the edge of your seat cursing at the reveals, and needing therapy with the ending!
Raena is beautiful, brave and broken. The King ripped her life into pieces in every conceivable way with his obsessive torment, but she pushed through that storm, escaped, and became the Hunter.
Now out for her deadly revenge the last thing she expected was to run into The Shadows, an elusive crew that have her heart melting and body burning with desire.
This is dark, primal, devastating and hotter than lava, and I need book 2 of this Duology asap!

The only word I can formulate right now is WOW, and that simple word does not do this book justice in any way, shape or form.
This was a debut novel and it absolutely blew my socks off. Could not put it down, I read it in less than 24 hours (only took that long as I had to sleep!)
I more than enjoyed this book. I was like a woman possessed whilst reading it; nothing else mattered apart from this book. The story was addictive and kept me entirely focused throughout. I loved the characters to no end, the plot was gripping and the spice was another level (don’t bother wearing panties!).
If the Dead Soldiers vs Tailors Duet and Little Red Riding Hood had a baby… this would be the result! AMAZEBALLS!
This is a dark, why choose, fairytale retelling. I 100% recommend checking the TW/CW before starting this. The content, both on and off page, WILL not be for everyone.
This had ALL my favourite things in it; multiple sexy, possessive and morally grey men, a thirst for revenge, a totally awesome FMC, my new found daddy and mask k!nks, an out of this world level of spice and a boat load of trauma, trauma, trauma.
The plot was fantastic; absolutely adored the fairytale elements. The twists and turns in this book will have you gripping the edge of your seat. The world building was top notch, Heather described the setting so perfectly, I felt like I was right there with them. This book brought a LOT of strong emotions out, it was full of heartache, angst, grief, anger and sadness. It was utter emotional turmoil. Not for the faint hearted, that’s for sure.
Raena was the ultimate hunter; she was focused, intelligent, gorgeous and beautifully broken. Her character development was brilliant, watching her change throughout the story seriously pulled at your heart strings.
Royal, Maddox and Alek definitely lived up to their name. They were the most beautiful shadows. All three were powerful, brooding and broken in some way or another. I could not pick a favourite out of the three, they all brought something different to the table. It was a team that just worked.
Would recommend to those on the search for a dark Fairytale retelling that will ruin your panties ♥️

This book is my #2 TOP READ OF THE YEAR!!!
The minute I picked up this book I couldn’t put it down. I read it in one sitting. This is a RH dark fairytale retelling with a whole lot of spice. This lady had me on EDGE from the moment I picked up this book to the moment that freaking cliffhanger that left me wanting so much more.
I loved that every single person in this story rode a bike. Raena (Red) is held captive and tortured by a horrible monster, who escapes him after being held for 3 years and finds some people to help heal her and turn her into a bada**. She wants revenge on the people that brutalized her leaving the monster for last so he knows she is coming for him. While she is getting her revenge the monster finds out and sends 3 gorgeous, tatted Shadows after her named Royal, Alek & Maddox. It’s literally a souls recognizes souls and they will stop at nothing to Avenge their Queen. The Shadows want revenge of the Monster as well because he took their sister away for a year and they have been trying to get her back and playing nice with the monster. Which the Shadows and Red quickly find out that they have that in common and create a plan to take him down. There are some many twists and turns in this book. As well as so much unanswered questions which I will find out in book 2 which is a duet. Also look out for Easter eggs because they will be a lot more from this AMAZING author.

I don’t typically get my hopes up with debut novels especially spicy ones… but this one blew me away. Like destroyed me (in the best ways). I finished it hours ago and I am still dumb struck. Heather is a master storyteller and I am so glad she decided to bring this story to life for all of us. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions from the moment you pick it up. I devoured this book because I literally couldn’t put it down. I started it last night, put it down to get some sleep, dreamt about this book ALL NIGHT LONG, then before my brain could completely wake up I was thinking about it again. If you want a quick spicy read this isn’t for you. You will become emotionally invested in this story. It is hot hot hot like level ten firehose hot. The whole second half of this book I was shaking from the amount of adrenaline in my body because the writing and the plot is just that good. You will fall in love with at least one of Rae’s men but chances are you will love them all by the time the book ends. I just could go on and on about how amazing this book is but then you would be stuck reading this when you could be reading the book! Do yourself a favor grab a box of tissues, your favorite comfort food, a drink, and maybe your special toy 😉 and go download this book!

A dark romance reader’s 💦 dream 🤤
This debut novel is such an engrossing story! It encompassed all my faves from daddy k!nk to to trauma to mask k!nk to revenge to sword crossing…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg 😂 It had me hooked right away!
Heather’s writing really had me feeling all the emotions! I was cackling at the well-written banter, quips, and sarcasm and yet really moved by the beautifully written trauma! That cliffy though…oof I need book 2 ASAP!!!
Overall, if you like dirty, k!nky, RH—you’ll love this! As always, check your TW/CW!!!

One of my best reads of the year
While this may be Heather’s first book it is outstanding! The characters and their lives intertwined in a way I didn’t expect but lead to one heck of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to have my bike modified. I’m looking forward to the next book and basically on pins and needles to see how these two groups come together!

After escaping from the cell she had been held captive in for three years, Raena spent the following two years in a sanctuary when a stranger took her in. During those two years, that stranger not only became her best friend but also her family. They helped her heal and gave her a purpose. She decided she was not the Hunter, never the prey.
Revenge. That is what she is after now.
Returning to Shadow Forest, the same place she escaped from, she is determined and prepared to dismantle the Monster’s life by taking one guard out at a time. The Monster took everything from her and now it’s her turn to take everything from him. Ending with his death, which will not be quick or merciful.

This book left me w r e c k e d!! I do not doubt that this story is only going to get better. It’s been a long time since a book has taken my soul and my mind. Raena’s story is traumatic and she is still standing, the determination of this girl is *chefs kiss*
Heather Beal has created the best twisted fairytale retelling I’ve ever read. I can already tell that part two of this duet is going to obliterate me in the best way possible.

Let me start off by saying I am feral for these men! Gimme Maddox, Royal, and Alek cause 🥵🥵🥵 and can't forget our badass stab happy FMC Rae.
I love a good female revenge story and this one does not disappoint by any means. And did I mention this is a debut novel? Daddy Heather did not hold back she put her all into this one, and the spice? 10/10. The way these men love, you just can't get enough. They would burn the world down for her and bathe in her enemies blood. So romantic ❤️

Masked men, tattooed body and pierced 🍆 not to forget the monster size 🍆, and reverse harem! The cliffhanger was mind blowing that I’m still trying to process it! I highly recommend reading this book. This is 5⭐️/5 and 5🌶️/5! Whew those spicy scenes were absolutely hot! 🥵

This book really took me on a wild ride! The shadows are my absolute favorite MMC‘s. All three different yet the same in so many ways. The FMC is also one of my favorite. She’s been through so much and to come out the way she has was magnificent to watch unfold. Holy smokes! I am blown away!!! I freaking devoured this book in less than a day. I’m almost speechless. My heart hurt hearing the story behind Rae’s brokenness. But the way she healed and became stronger was amazing. Her shadows….yummy. The spice was spicy just the way I like it. If you love k!nky RH, this is book is definitely for you. This was a wild ride and I loved every single minute. Raena (Red) is a total badass who returns to her hometown to enact vengeance on the men who kidnapped and brutalized her for 3 years. Her plans take an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with 3 sexy Shadows Maddox, Royal, and Alek. Their chemistry and connection is almost instant and only gets stronger as they find out just how connected they really are. This is the first mmmf that I've read I didn't find to be cringy and was enjoyable. The cliffhanger almost made me throw my tablet.

What a wild ride. One bad@s$ FMC but still has her weaknesses. Men who will burn down the world for their girl, and a past that will haunt you. A cliff hanger that makes you want to scream with steamy scenes that make you want more. This book had everything and book two can’t come fast enough.
