Someone is trying to kill my sister, my brother-in-law, and my brother. Someone already killed my cousin and stepfather (not a big loss)—we suspect it is the Russian mob. And my mother has disappeared after telling us that my grandfather didn't die of natural causes.
So, this is what one calls a clusterf#@k!
As if all that is not bad enough, the new N'awlins ADA, Grace Carta wants my head on a platter and my ass behind bars.
Grace doesn't trust pretty spoiled rich boys like me, her words, not mine. Miss Prim & Proper with a stick up her a$$ is not my type. So, can anyone explain why she turns into a Little Tempest whenever I've got my hands on her?
Now you want to know why do I have my hands on her in the first place. Yeah, I don't have an answer for that either.
When I have to go undercover as a degenerate gambler for an NOPD op being run by Grace to find the real culprits who want to hurt my family…the storm of emotions and passions is unexpected, unwelcome, and completely irresistible.
Jazz Tunes & Heartbeats in the Big Easy ✔️Set in New Orleans ✔️Enemies to lovers ✔️Opposites attract ✔️No third-act breakup ✔️MMC owns a jazz club, plays the guitar ✔️FMC is an assistant district attorney ✔️Romantic suspense ✔️Interconnected standalone series
Storm is book #3 in the Jazz Sessions trilogy. It can be read as a standalone but the author recommends reading the first two books, Quake and Inferno to maximize your enjoyment.
Trigger warnings: There is reference to past domestic abuse and sexual assault. Please go to author's website for a full list of content warnings.
A nice and well written suspenseful romance trilogy, especially for readers who have the time and the patience for lengthy stories. Tbh, I skimmed a few pages here and there…
I am sorry-not-sorry to mention I realised who the villain was since the first few chapters of part 2. 🤷🏻♀️
Dnf at 20% I don't really think that this book can be read as a standalone. There are a lot of details about other characters and it gets boring really fast
This is the last final book in the Jazz Sessions Trilogy. It is just as fantastic as the first two books and wraps up an on going mystery very well. Zephyr Doucet is a protector It is not so much what he does, but who he is at his core. He will do anything to keep those he cares for safe. With his family under threat from an unknown enemy, though rumours point to the Russian mob, he makes a decision to go undercover in order to gain more information. ADA Grace Carta is determined to get her own answers to just what is going on in the Doucet family. She is dedicated to her job and believes it is her duty to keep the citizens she serves safe, which includes the Doucet. Zephyr is enough to drive her mad. Charming, laid back and a womanizing player describe him well, but so does infuriating and egotistical. The fact that she finds herself attracted to him and susceptible to his seduction techniques makes her determined to keep him at a distance.
Zephyr, however, loves to get up close and personal to the prim, uptight, far too serious and beautiful ADA. He likes to get her riled up, eyes flashing and spitting fire at him. They certainly produce a whole lot of heat when they are near each other. He soon notices that his feelings about Grace are changing, becoming something he has never felt before…..something like love and wanting forever with her. Their story is twisty, sometimes intense, often entertaining and always enthralling. Along with some intriguing suspense, there is a fair amount of spice and heat. I love the banter, the snark and the teasing among the Doucets as well as between Zephr and Grace. All in all, this book is a very enjoyable read.
I would certainly recommend this book and the two previous books in this series.
Maya Alden has done it once again!! Storm was the perfect conclusion to the Jazz Sessions trilogy! If you’re looking for an enticing romance with elements of suspense and so much tension, I definitely suggest reading Zephyr and Grace’s story and the rest of the books in the trilogy.
Zephyr has always been my favorite of the Doucet siblings. When he was first introduced in Quake, I was captivated by his personality and loved that he would protect his family no matter what. Throughout this book, readers dive deeper into his story and discover more about his character. Grace is such a strong willed character. As an ADA, she is determined to keep people safe, especially the Doucet siblings. Grace and Zephyr’s chemistry never dwindled from Inferno. I love how their relationship develops and how both of them allow themselves to become more open to love.
Storm encapsulates the perfect endings for all three Doucet siblings (Gaia, Blaze, and Zephyr). The suspense in the book was an incredible touch, ensuring the mystery from the previous books was solved. I highly recommend reading this trilogy!
Storm: A Billionaire Opposites Attract, Enemies to Lovers Romance (Jazz Sessions Trilogy Book 3) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 Sadly but things happened for a reason, we have reached the conclusion of this amazon unforgettable ride. Here comes STORM, the third book is filled with suspense, a lot of drama, and a conclusion to everything that would make the reader happy. Grace and Zephyr's story helps to tie up all the loose ends, between all three books that would help conclude this story with the best ending possible. We are introduced to Zephyr in the first book Quake, but it is not until Storm that we dive more in depth into Zephyr's character. This dive helps us discover more about his personality, and how Grace helps him challenge himself to be the best man possible, and in return Grace learns that by trusting Zephyr she is truly protected. Through the series we see these two characters develop more, and we see their connection take shape. Through STORM we see how as an ADA, Grace possesses a strong determination, and duty to keep people safe, but more of this is seen when it comes to keeping the Doucet siblings safe. Maya couldn't have created a better ending for Gaia, Blaze, and Zephyr (Doucet siblings), through Storm we see this story take on a shape that would finalize their journey. Like always the wonderful Maya manages to bring us a whole new world of her creation. A world where we lose ourselves completely. I highly recommend reading this trilogy!

Zephyr was my favorite brother, a go with the flow guy who took care of his family and friends, but wanted to stay single forever. I loved that ADA Grace was the one that not only made Zephyr change his mind about bachelorhood, but also that she challenged him. He really took care of Grace and she in turned trusted him to keep her safe. Their chemistry was fun to watch as Zephyr got her to trust him more and more. Because Zephyr was who he was, you could really feel how it hurt him to pretend to be on the outs with his family and not be with Grace when he was undercover.
Lots of drama and suspense with this one while it worked to tie up loose ends. So much that I wasn't expecting (HENRI!), but found this book to be a a great an ending to the series.

It has taken me a while to get around to reading these books from Maya. I don't usually enjoy my romance with a side of murder and mystery so I was a bit hesitant to read them. I should of trusted the fact that it's still Maya and she's an automatic 1-click for me. I loved this series and the three Doucet siblings. You have to appreciate the effort and research that goes into her writing. I felt like New Orleans was brought to life in my lounge as I read.
I love MA's work but I really struggled with this series for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I liked the couples but I like the mystery/suspense of it more. I loved that Blaze hated acting a part. Grace was one smart cookie and I applaud her overcoming things from her past.
This is definitely NOT a standalone. The story arc starts in book one, which if you've read made some parts repetitive. Overall I did enjoy my time in Nawlins.
This is the third book in the Jazz Session Trilogy. And a brilliant wrap up of this trilogy. It was well written story filled with suspense, drama and tension . The plot was intriguing and characters were well developed. It’s Grace and Zephyr story. I enjoyed the chemistry between these two characters. A well written and enjoyable read.
This is the final book in the Jazz Sessions Trilogy and I want more! This book kept my attention much like the first two. We are still trying to figure out who did it?!?! I guess who the main villain was and was right! Along with the mystery we see Zephyr partner with Grave to try to catch the killer. I like these two characters together. They have chemistry! I love that this series took place in New Orleans. As always, Maya doesn’t let me down with her writing. She is an author I will always recommend!
Terrific End to this brilliant trilogy. Thoroughly enjoyed it, loved all the main characters and yes I guessed part way through book two who the villain was.
