This boxset contains all three Daughter of Aphrodite Daughter of Asteria Daughter Kaos They were forgotten, but they never went away. Immortals still walk among us... A daunting start to life has left Adisia Titan wary to trust and unable to believe in second chances. A curse she's been unaware of has left her with a string of betrayals from the men she's trusted. After patching her heart back together, she finds herself riddled with crippling insecurities, which makes it hard for her to trust Devin Cole. Devin's too good to be true, and she knows it, but against all her better judgment, she falls for him. She never thought about the secrets he could have. And he never thought it possible for her to have a secret even bigger. The only problem is... she didn't know she had a secret to tell. Life and death becomes a reality when she learns who she really is, and Devin will stop at nothing to keep her safe.
Honestly I don't know whether to give this trilogy 2 or 3 stars. It had some really great parts to it, but the majority of it was tedious and pissed me off. Really how many times can I read vague nondescript sex scenes? I swear there had to be well over 50 to 60 at least. I get some of them are necessary but the majority seemed like filler. Also having to relive the beginning of the book verbatim three times took a toll on me. It just felt like a lot of crap was thrown in as filler to make the books longer, and all it did was really hurt the story for me. If that wasn't enough to annoy me then Adisia and Devin's relationship did the trick. It was like a bad jr high soap opera playing out and had me rolling my eyes constantly.
Really the only good parts of the book were the action scenes when she goes badass, or when everyone is hanging out and there is good dialogue between the other men and Adisia.
I really had high hopes for this series because of the ratings, and because the author's Deadly Beauties trilogy was amazing. Sadly I was let down. Hopefully her other books are going to be better.
Amazing Read! If you love stories with Greek mythology this is for you. I purchased this book yesterday. I was so enthralled with the storytelling that I finished the trilogy last night. Each book contains some misguided/intentional betrayals, love, intrigue, mystery and suspense. What more could you ask for! I was saddened when I finished this bundle. With each book, you have new characters introduced that you will either love or hate. I would hope that some of those characters will have a trilogy/series of their own. This would be a hint to the author. LOL!!! The story is about a girl named Adisia who has terrible luck with relationships. On a girls' night, she meets Devin Cole. Against her better judgement, she will continue to see him and eventually falls for him hard. With time, eventually secrets will emerge about her and Devin. They will face many obstacles/choices that will either break them or make their love for one another stronger. Someone is after Adisia, and Devin will protect her no matter what. Adisia develops powers that no one has seen in centuries. Will it become too much for her to handle? You gotta' read this trilogy to find out. I have recommended this book to family and friends. I'm definitely going to read more from this author. Take my advice, get this bundle. Happy reading.. Cheers!!
The storyline was okay with lots of actions and some humors. I like the 1st book of the trilogy much better than the 2nd and 3rd of the series. The 2nd had a lot of grammar errors which interrupted the flow. Also, parts of the story got long and winded that it became boring after awhile. It became exhausting reading the jealously and volatile relationship between the two main. Still enjoyed the way the author made her characters relatable. I like the story line and the creativity of conflicts so I am giving this a 4. I would say this series did not par with the deadly beauties series. I will still recommend this book and will buy the author's other books.
The storyline has lots of potential....needed to be fleshed out more. The editors and proofreaders on this were asleep for certain. Immortals with powers from the gods living amongst us and a romance that bridges a mortal coming into her own as an immortal is an exciting trope. I could forever live without lines like "he sizzled" after a character says something. Not sure how you sizzle when you talk. Obvious issues like that took away from the read but in the end I liked it overall I just had to.shrug and move past the weird wording. This authors others books like the Wild Ones are much better, but for fantasy romance reads this one does okay.
This trilogy was really good. The detail that was put into it was pretty awesome. The only issue I had was the intense intrapersonal thoughts became a bit erratic, it was understandably so due to the main characters history. Those thoughts spiraled and became weapons to hurt the one she loved. It was back and forth between them in some instances and I rolled my eyes a few times to the dramatic way they were and then in the next instant I was saying, “you go girl!”
Take a chance on this trilogy you won’t regret it!
Fantastic series. Really strong storyline and characters. One of the best series I have read. All 3 books follow Adisia and one storyline. This was unputdownable for me and I spent half the night reading it. All the characters were well thought out and likeable or unlikeable when needed. I don’t want to spoil the story so won’t put much more. If you like Stephanie Hudson or Amelia Hutchins then you will love this. The sauce is implied more than in great detail which allows the story to shine, this makes it suitable for YA as well. Brilliant.
C.M. Owes is definitely one of my favorite authors. She just has a way with words that captivate you and you keep reading and reading and you never want to stop!
This story was no different... Adisia and Devin are soooo good together - their ups and downs sooooo fun to read. I loved their story and their world.
This series helped me go through a hard time - I am glad to have it found!
I'm not going to lie, it took me awhile to get in to the book. Once I did tho, I could not stop reading! It is a well made world and the characters are likeable and some not so likeable characters. I really liked how all of it built up and how you got to know all the different characters. Some I would really love to get to know more I highly recommend this series!
There were a few spelling and grammatical errors, but aside from that, just intense enough to keep you hooked. The details behind the fantasy are brilliant! The world that she brings you into is beautiful and Lush and although at times the girls insecurity becomes annoying, in the end, you can't help fall in love with the entire story. It's one of those that I would not mind reading again and again.
First book I liked just fine, actually I was excited for the other two in the series. Sadly, the 2nd book and the 1st half of the 3rd one was beyond childish. The only reason this trilogy gets a 3 stars (rounded up from 2, 5 stars) is because of the 1st book and the 2nd half of the 3rd. Could have been so much better.
Couldn't put it down. If you LOVE immortals, gods, constantly on the run from the bad immortals, suspense, laughing out loud, crying and romance. You'll love this series!!!!!
despite being extremely poorly written with plenty of grammatical errors, overused words and often misused words, the daughter trilogy is a guilty pleasure that I still enjoyed reading the fourth time as much as the first.
I started out enjoying this trilogy, but only finished because I wanted to find out what happened. This author desperately needs an editor. There were grammatical errors, misspellings, and way too many adverbs. It made me cringe.
Love greek mythology, so I was excited to read this trilogy on my vacation. However, the heroine was vapid and unrelatable. She giggled so much in this book it almost gave me a migraine. She has amazing abilities/powers, but she is so annoying. I only kept reading to see how it all concluded with all the other immortals.
Okay ,if you are into paranormal romances. This Trilogy is for you. Got a great surprise with these books. Totally love this Trilogy and will be reading other books by this author. New fan of C.M. Owens. Great read.
An ordinary woman who falls for an extraordinary man. Little does Adisia know that Devin will change her life forever. Everything she thought she knew will be re-written.
I wont go into any more detail because the twists and turns in this series is amazing and it shouldnt be spoilt. This is my favorite paranormal series ever! I would recommend this book highly. You will not regret it.
The daughter trilogy is an exciting and page terminated that will have you up for hours until you read the entire story.
Daughter of Aphrodite is the beginning for Adisia, she meets and falls for Devin. Soon she finds out that he is not only immortal but a son of a Greek god. Chased by unknown enemies she becomes a target and her own power is unleashed.
Daughter of Asteria picks up exactly where the last book ends. Adisia finds she is even more powerful than anyone thought which will come in handy. She and Devin grow even closer but another man waits in the wings for his chance with Adisia. However they're gonna need all the help they can get when they finally come face to face with the enemy.
Daughter of Kaos life is good, Adisia and Devin finally get married and everything is going their way. Until their last and true enemy surfaces and no one is safe. Adisia will have dig deep and do what has never been done to save her family and the world.
I liked this trilogy a lot it has everything a good story needs action, strong heroine, drama, romance, betrayal, and adventure. It's awesome! There were a few things that irked me, like antagonizing Athena what's up with that? In my opinion Athena was the goddess of wisdom, virtue, and honesty she was a warrior who loved battle as much as Aries. I can't think of her as vain and jealous as the story makes her out to be. Also even though I loved Devin I thought it was a little juvenile the way they were all over each other all the time. I skipped past some of those pages it was getting sickening to imagine.
This has got to be one of my favourite reads by C.m. Owens. When I get to the end I just restart it, and have done this three time's because I love it that much 😍😍 I love the fact that all of the book's are together, so I don't have to wait for the next instalment. The way that C.m. Owens writes transports me into the book and makes me feel like I'm there with the characters. The way she writes the characters are brilliant and so believable, it makes them feel real. So when they love you love when they hurt you hurt. In this set of book's with Adisia and Devin there is love and heartbreak, especially as she doesn't believe in second chances. She has been lead to believe that she is just a normal girl, with a string of heartbreak behind her 😢 She meets Devin in a club, who is far from a 'normal' man, and something clicks within her, and him. They spend a night together, and are then inseparable. Throughout these book's you are introduced to other characters that play a big part in Adisias life, and expain who she is. In these book's there is love, heartache and war with a supernatural twist. There are plenty of twists and turns in these book's to keep you on the edge of your seat. I would absolutely recommend this trilogy bundle, it's out of this world amazing 💖💞😍🌟
ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SERIES EVER! I have read this trilogy like a Billion times! - Ok, that may be a slight exaggeration... At least 5 times! Love love love these... Can I just say it again? I LOVE THESE BOOKS! I need more... PLEASE say that Aster will be getting her own book, or trilogy... Or just keep writing and writing about them.. Devin Cole is the epitome of hotness.. Like he is hot as Hale.. (If you've read this book you'll understand what I'm saying!) Every time I re read this book I keep shouting NOOOOO DON'T DO IT... But every single time it happens again... (Read this book to find out what I'm on about!) There's LOADS of action, humour, love and betrayal in this book... It's seriously amazing. Have I said that I love this trilogy yet?? Because I do!! Soooo much drama!! So many times I had tears in my eyes! So many times I threw my kindle on the floor in a "huff".. I need these on paperback! Like really really need them! I've already been recommending this series to everyone, it really is a must read! BUY IT NOW!!! #2OCCAB
Beautiful drop dead gorgeous Aphrodisia Titan (she prefers Adisia) is out on the town with her BFF for a bachelorette party when she decides to make a move on the most handsome man anyone has ever seen...he drop kicks her brutally to the curb, not wanting to hurt her, you see, he is a son of Poseidon, he has control over water and is an immortal guardian to mortals, mortals can become infected and die if they bond too close with an immortal. But Devin Cole is not prepared for the turmoil that seizes him when Adisia turns and walks away, he must have her at least once to get her out of his mind. When an attempt to kidnap Adisia shows her to be an immortal too Devin feels happy that he can have Adisia forever. Thus begins an up and down romance between two souls that need to be together, the evil that wants to use them to take over the world and all their friends that add laugh out loud humor to an already epic tale!
The first book Daughter of Aphrodite was interesting with the various descendants of Titans and gods. It was definitely different in terms of the utilization of mythology in the form of Immortals. I was still invested (at least initially) with the second book Daughter of Asteria. I wanted to know more about this side of Adisia. Rather than developing the story and providing more insight, it felt like a whinier rehash of the first story. The third book Daughter of Kaos was inevitable because the predictable conflict still needed to be resolved. The development of the story, the obstacles, and the final denouement were all predictable.
As much as I enjoyed the first book, with each passing book, my rating for the trilogy decreased. Overall, the trilogy was just okay. There was too much redundancy, too much repetition of things said, of events happening, of conflicts and arguments.
PERSONALLY, I think you'd be foolish to pass this trilogy up. I loved the mythology, I loved the strength of the characters, and since I hate a book whose story is completely dependent on an emotional roller coaster to get you through it, I love this story. Yes, there were ups and downs with the main characters relationship, but that's life. It wasn't the whole story. (Thank God!) The author did an amazing job bringing new characters into the mix with each storyline and really kept me guessing at the end. (Very refreshing) I also loved that I didn't have to reread seven chapters of the 1st book for the second book to finally kick off. I will definitely be reading more of this author's work.
I really really enjoyed the plot of an evil being trying to rule the world. The fact that it is a woman is icing on the cake. Devin and his merry band of immortals are bada$$ for sure. I like how they are together like family then like an extended family. This has what kept my attention also, the intrigue of Adia.
Now, what I disliked immensely is the mutters, mumbling and so forth it lacked creativity and it made the story hard to read. I was waiting for her to get off her high horse and compromise. Most people have a past that is unfavorable however we don't necessarily hold it over their heads. The trust and her annoying judgements grated on my nerves. I felt ultimately sorry for Devin because she is unable to deal with conflict.
