This day was always coming. After months of being deprived of what my mind craves, I received the call to return back home. To fulfill my duty and complete my initiation. The Sinclair family is part of an infamous group embedded deep within Vail. The Exodus. And The Reckoning is upon us. No one is safe. The town hides as the streets become bare. But it doesn’t matter, because I will find you. With my little bat by my side. By morning you will become a missing person. I’m looking at you. My party favor.
*This is book two in 'The Devil's Society' which is also a Crossover with 'The Exodus Series'
Kinsley Kincaid is a long time fan of psychotic dark book boyfriends. She does not limit it to just Dark Romance but Taboo as well, yes the scandal!
She enjoys pushing boundaries, so don’t be surprised when you see this also reflected in her work. Be sure to stalk her on her socials and reader group shared with Isla Gray; Tainted N Taboo.
So I just finished "Homecoming," part 2 of The Devil's Society series. It's also tied in with The Exodus Series.
We get more of Elijah and Rain's story, and we meet Elijah's dad, Nathaniel.
I liked it overall, but there were definitely some parts where I was like, "Really?" And that ending? Don't even get me started! I'm glad I read "Sinner" first, though. It helped me get why Elijah is... well, Elijah.
So in this one, Elijah goes back to his hometown to see his dad. The plot's kinda like The Purge - every 10 years, on October 10th, everyone in the society goes wild for a night. Elijah and Rain are after his cousin who's rebelled against what the society believes. Long story short, they basically torture her to death. Pretty intense stuff.
Besides that, not a ton happens. Kinsley's writing is usually awesome, gotta give credit where it's due. But this time, it felt like something was missing. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but it didn't have that special Kinsley touch I've gotten used to.
As if I couldn’t love Elijah Sinclair more, Kinsley Kincaid has done it again! Homecoming was a great look into his character and his hometown. The creativity and “tools” used are next level. Caught myself cringing a bit and then applauding the execution 😂. Pretty sure that will get me some looks 👀. Great read, bring on Unholy!
elijah and rain i want what yall haaaaaaaveee (each other :pppp) AAAAAA this was so good im just mad it wasn't a 900 page book 😭😭 no words except i ate this all the way up but why i lowkey want an in to The Exodus.... its kinda sexy in there sometimes no??? my bad..
Okay yall I finally got around to reading Homecoming by my girl Kinsley Kincaid and oh my hell 🥵 This is part of the exodus series which is a series of standalones by different authors that are connected by a shared world. You can read them in any order but this one is directly related to kinsleys book Haunted by the Devil, so make sure you read that before reading this one so it makes sense.
I’m loving the idea behind the exodus series and what I’ve read in it so far! It gives purge vibes but only for certain classes of people. It’s got masked people, unalivings, chaos, spice, basically everything you need in a series.
Homecoming took me on a journey that I’ve been wanting so badly since reading Haunted by the Devil and gave me more of Rain and Elijah along with introducing more of Nathaniel. I cannot wait to read the next book to get more of him! I gave this an easy 5/5 ⭐️ and 4/5🌶️
“Such a good girl for me, little bat.” “He is my life. Where he goes, I go. My soul and his soul. We are forever.” “This is where my demons became my friends.”
Kinsley, my Queen, you did it again! Like I said after reading Sinner, I didn’t think it was possible for me to love Elijah more than I already did, but this book made me love him even more! 🖤
The dynamic and relationship between Rain and Elijah continued to be amazing. I love how easily they understand each other and know what the other person wants and needs. I also loved seeing them work together.
The first book in the series was a wild ride, but this one took it up a notch. Loved the creative use of the cheese grater and other fun toys.
Greta seemed like an interesting character and I would love to learn more about her.
The ending was so cute—I need more, please and thank you!
Please check the trigger warnings before reading; your mental health matters!
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
𝐦𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Firstly, thank you so much to Kinsley for allowing me to read this arc🖤
I was so excited to dive back into the world of the Sinclair’s, and damn did Kinsley ever deliver!!!!!
I read Sinner the other day, and it really helped me to understand Elijah more. So going into Homecoming, I was excited to get more into his character!
I loved how E and Rain’s relationship has grown so much since Haunted by the Devil! They have really come into their own, and they just really understand each other! Also loved seeing them “work” together in this book 😜 The gore and torture was next level, and the spice was spicing!!!! I just loved this whole book, the concept of the Reckoning, and just everything as a whole, it was such an amazing read! The ending was so cute, and just left me wanting MORE!!!!🖤
Once again I am completely blown away by this book. I have loved everything I have read by Kinsley so far!
Please before you go any further check your trigger warnings and content warnings before reading
This book leaves off after Haunted By The Devil which is the beginning of E and Rain's story. When you thought that book was dark then you have no idea how messed up this one is. I loved being in Vail with Rain and E before The Reckoning and meeting Mr.Sinclair. I loved how he came into the picture and knew Rain already but wanted it to seem like he didn't really know too much.
I'm going to say cheese grater! Holyy was that part super dark and messed up. It made my jaw actually hit the floor.
Homecoming by Kinsley Kincaid is part of the Exodus series. This is a group of novellas/novels that share a theme, but are standalones written by different authors. This is a romantic thriller that is also book 2 in The Devil‘s Society.
Elijah is back oh my goodness and so is his beautiful love Rain. Kinsley Kincaid has such a special touch when writing her books and characters. The plots are so thrilling and fun! It’s as if she pours everything into them. This book was as exciting as the first and it was everything I was hoping it would be. The story fits right into the Exodus series and stays true to Elijah and Rain.
Elijah and Rain have returned to his home in Colorado. He is itching for what is in store for him with The Reckoning and his family. Rain also has a lot in store for her in this book. It definitely is an exciting and eventful book and journey.
Kinsley Kincaid did a wonderful job with this as always. I could not put it down. I can not wait to read more from her!
After reading haunted by the devil, sinner and homecoming. It just solidified my love for E. I am just soooo obsessed with him and his crazy ways and also obsessed with Rain! I needed more of E. I loved both of them! I wanted more of them so bad!
I didn’t think this story could get much darker but yes, yes it can! I devoured this book! Elijah and Rain are the perfect couple! The cult vibes are written so well it makes you feel like you’re in the story. I absolutely loved this duet and I highly recommend it.
Elijah and Rain are definitely a dark and twisted couple, thriving on feeling powerful and I love them. Check the TW for this book, but I finished it in one sitting and loved seeing more of them and their story back in Colorado!

Thank you to Kinsley Kincaid for the ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
Another one from the Exodus series. Does it keep getting better? I can’t answer that one for you, it’s your decision to read them and make you own choices 😜
I, however, loved this one. The dynamics of the MCs just flows so well. Their barbaric ways and Rains’ love of antique torture devices just made me smile in the most delicious of ways 😈 sorry not sorry!
The Sinclair family are the equivalent to refuse collectors but in a macabre way, and they do it with ruthless finesse. Go forth people, read the trigger warnings first. Wouldn’t want you entering into something you can’t enjoy.
𝐘𝐄𝐒!! def 💯 obsessed w/ the sinclair fam!! from elijah, to daddy nathaniel...𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 rain!! i was iffy about her in 𝘏𝘣𝘵𝘋 but shes completely redeemed now in my eyes!! she made the effort to learn more about his issues to better understand him & properly care for him. i saw her commitment to E & not juz all physical (coz we all know hes hot af)🤭
& i thought i cant like elijah more after reading 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳...i was 𝐒𝐎 wrong!!🤣🤣 its amazing to see his "𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩"!! i juz love it!! that ending was incredible!! & i wont so much say that its a cliffy but i was def surprised at what else is to come🤗🤗 loved loved loved how everything tied up!! very xcited for the nxt in the series♥️
*** 𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 is 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 2 of elijah's duet (𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕯𝖊𝖛𝖎𝖑'𝖘 𝕾𝖔𝖈𝖎𝖊𝖙𝖞) & a 𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘕𝘋𝘈𝘓𝘖𝘕𝘌 within 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕰𝖝𝖔𝖉𝖚𝖘 𝕾𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖘. a special fall-themed novella in a shared world that will give u the thrills, secrets, & smvt we all love!!
Homecoming is the fifth book in the Exodus series, which consists of seven books, each written by a different author with unique storylines, all set in the same universe. It’s also the second book in The Devil's Society series, and while it’s not strictly necessary to read the first, I would recommend doing so to better understand the relationships and dynamics between the main characters.
I honestly believe if I had read the first Devil's Society book, I would have given this one 5 stars. Since I didn’t, I’m giving it 4. (Duh)
That said, this book delivers. The splatter scenes made my stomach turn, and I had to take breaks from reading. I loved Elijah—he’s so incredibly unhinged and utterly without restraint, I couldn’t help but fall for him. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for Rain. I found her lacking personality and too bland for my taste. All she does is obsess over torture tools, which felt one-dimensional to me. I should probably read Haunted by the Devil to fully understand her character, and I will, but based on Homecoming, she mostly just annoyed me.
Tropes: - Secret Society - Step-sibling - Taboo Horror Dark Romance - T0rture - Psychopath MMC - Tattooed MMC
A positive note for Daddy Nate Sinclair—I can’t wait to read more about him!
This book is VERY dark, so please do make sure you read the trigger warnings before start reading.
The incidents are unmistakably horror, bordering on splatterpunk. I appreciate Kinsley. Maintaining Elijah's unbalanced behavior from childhood to the present.
Elijah has a deep inner yearning that must be satisfied.
Elijah is an unstoppable force, and it is better to unleash him in his true form, as this is when you see his greatest and my favorite aspects.
Now, my adoration for Elijah does not imply a rejection of his sidekick Rain. The couple is quite the devilish pair. What these two create together is an unorthodox work of art. Elijah's motivation and determination are revitalized by the woman who stands by him.
Their intimacy over bloodshed makes for one of the most worthwhile reading experiences of all time.
The Exodus rituals continue to amaze me. This uncivil culture gives new meaning to gangster life, which I appreciate.
5 Elijah MF’ing Sinclair is Back! Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Homecoming is the second book in The Devil’s Society, which is also a Crossover in the shared world of The Exodus Series. It’s the continuation of Elijah & Rain's story and I’m here for it all! I was so happy to be back with them. I’m completely in love them both. They’re everything. And perfect for one another - true soulmates. Their relationship has really grown a lot since Haunted by the Devil - their connection is amazing and they truly understand and get one another. And “work” well together - which was fun to see. Prepare yourself, it’s a wild ride. Kinsley Kincaid definitely brought her A game, and then some!
The dark was very dark in this book (which I love), and the spice was definitely spicing! Make sure to check the trigger warnings.
I absolutely loved this book, their story, and the concept of the Reckoning. And the ending! So cute. I need more. I can’t wait to read more from this world. It’s a fast-paced, completely all-consuming & very unique read. If you love dark, gory and unhinged romance this book and amazing author are a must read! Highly recommend!
Homecoming. The Devil's Society Book 2 By Kinsley Kincaid.
Always check trigger warnings! This is super dark!

This book is part of a collaborative series, dubbed… The Exodus Series. Within there are many novels written by numerous authors.
Yet another amazing novel from Kinsley Kincaid. Superb and uniquely dark, filled to the brim with gore and pure darkness.
I loved the continuation of Elijah and Rain story. Back from the aftermath of ‘Haunted by the Devil’ these characters are back with vengeance… bringing a whole lot of twists and turns along their journey.
This is a work of pure brilliance and will have every reader hooked from the get go. Perfectly arranged and excellently detailed world building wrapped around a sinister and beguiling, rollercoaster of a ride narrative. Simply unputdownable.
Elijah. MMC. Is a beautiful swoon worthy psychopath. I just can’t help but love him! Rain. FMC. Is his perfect fit… these two belong together they were basically made for each other. The dynamic between them is perfectly palpable from the outset… And Sinclair. Damn!!
I can’t wait for more of these characters! Bravo Kinsley…

"He is my life. Where he goes, I go. My soul and his soul. We are forever."
After being deprived of what he needs for months, Elijah finally gets his call to come home and he can complete his initiation into the secret society his family has been part of for years. This story continues on from the ending of Haunted by the Devil and gives us more of Rain and Elijahs story and also introduces us to Elijahs dad, Nathaniel Sinclair.
Homecoming is the second book I read this year! I started it immediately after I finished Haunted by the Devil because I needed more of Elijah and Rain!
This book is crazy in the best way. Elijah is such a unique character to me, and Homecoming is really a book of him shining (and me falling for him even more). I don't know if I'm more jealous of Rain because she gets to be with Elijah, or if I'm more jealous of Elijah because he gets to be with Rain...
I absolutely love E in Haunted by the Devil, but this book was absolutely amazing. Getting to see E in his entire element and moreso in the dark and depraved light was just so beautiful. He's completely unhinged and cray cray, but I love that about him.
Rain is 100% his other half and The Reckoning brought them so much closer, even through all the crazy. You know the saying, I licked it, so it's mine? Well these two are the literal example of this 🤣
This one is pretty freaking gory, so go into this with an open mind because whoa. But it wouldn't be a Sinclair story without it, so there's that haha.
•ARC review• Release date: September 13th Book 2 of The Devil’s Society and a part of The Exodus novellas series
Well, Homecoming was indeed messed up, just like we all appreciate this kind of madness from Kinsley. Elijah brings Rain home where they have to take part in the Reckoning. Rain learns more about her ‘’sweet baby E’’ while Elijah returns to his true self. It was bloody and tortuous. And strangely sweet (between the both of them). It was a nice follow up of their initial story and I liked it.
Thanks to Kinsley for the arc 🖤

Would it be dramatic to say I have been reborn?? Nahh it's me! Are we surprised that I'm obsessed and saying you need to read Homecoming? No we aren't! Ughh this man Elijah just gets to my heart and I just can't help it. I was soo happy to get him and Rain back into my arms and babyyyy they satisfied my craving. Give Rain her MOMENT because she was nothing short of THAT BIH . And ohhhh the love and devotion she has to “our" man fa. I felt for my guy and was worried for a split second. I now have a desire for fangs (iykyk). Please check out Homecoming ASAP, this is one part of the entire Exodus series (interconnected world).
This book takes us on a journey to E's hometown where you get to see how E evolved.
His dad and E are part of The Exiled in Montana, which is a secret society that controls everything from local to government. Nothing happens without The Exileds say-so.
Hell Fire Night happens every 5 years and that's when new members are initiated into the society and it's time for E to take his rightful place beside his father. With Rain at his side this duo works perfectly together to put on a show!
This book contains graphic scenes and trigger and content warnings should be read. Looking forward to the final installment for this series.
This is my first read of Kinsley Kincaid. I have to admit my favorite read is dark romance and this book did not disappoint. Please read all triggers. This was a different kind of dark for me. Not in a bad way at all. I loved Rain and E and how she accepts E for who his is and just their dynamic. Am very interested in finding out mire about his read. He just has me kind of baffled.
I loved this book. Well let’s just say I love the devils society series. Rain and Elijah are the perfect psychotic couple. So far this series has everything that I look for in a dark romance novel. It has step siblings, masked men, psychopathic MC, gore and spice. If you like those kinds of things in a book, then this is series for you.
I miss these two SO MUCH, and I was so ready for all the unhinged things they cooked up🤭
Elijah and Rain are back with some chaos, and I loved how the book picked up with them living their lives. It’s so fascinating to see how the exodus came in to play with them being initiated in, and Elijah letting ALL his demons out. My mouth was hanging open most of the time with how brutal he was, BUT I LOVED IT😫
Rain lets him be his self, and she knows just how to rile him out too lol. She definitely toed that low and I was so excited find out the result of their escapades.🙂↕️
So bloody, so gory, and tons of revenge in this that had me at the edge of my seat. The King & Queen are baaaack😈🦇
I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book and let me tell you… I can’t stop yapping about it. Elijah Sinclair is by far my favorite psychopath & I am DOWN BAD. Him and Rain’s ability to read each other without speaking and knowing how to take care of one another without asking for anything makes my heart absolutely melt into a puddle. And Daddy Sinclair?! I need more of him IMMEDIATELY!! Although Elijah is my first love, our very own Little Bat really shows off her crazy in this story as well. I definitely won’t be able to look at a cheese grater the same ever again. And the choke pear?! I definitely did a deep dive into medieval torture devices (sorry little fbi guy in my phone). The Reckoning was everything I wanted it to be and getting to watch our E and Little Bat be absolutely unhinged was the cherry on top. I’m counting down the days until I get this couple in my grubby little hands again. 🦇🖤
