This captivating must read romance is perfect for fans of nonshifter knotting, enemies to lovers trope where he falls first, cinnamon roll mc, and forced proximity.
Pacific Northwest author L.L. Frost writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance with snarky characters and descriptive world-building. Whether she's writing a fast burn romance about witches, wolf shifters, and vampires, or teasing a slow burn romance while hunting demonic monsters, her passion is for character driven novels.
Growing up in a rainforest gave L.L. Frost plenty of time to daydream while spending cozy days under a blanket with her cats by her side. Sipping tea or chugging coffee, you can find her with a book or laptop in hand, imagining new worlds.
Awkward and stinted dialogue, and more description of mundane things than I could ever want or need. Both of which are ironic for a book about a huge author. Most things that will happen are obvious and we're just waiting for them to happen. BUT I am still going to read the next one, so that's something. Edit: it's not out until next year. I literally do not care enough to read it then.
This is the first book of what will be the misty pines series.
An omega author (Chloe) who has kept her designation hidden from her fans, decides to take a much needed vacation to write her next hit book. That leads her to a cabin on a private island, Which is owned by a pack of four alphas (Holden, Blake, Nathaniel, and Dominic).
This book is mainly about her relationship with Holden and Blake, as she doesn’t meet the other two alphas until after the 50% mark.
This book had really good potential, but for me there is too much going on.
There is an illusion of a stalker fan ( the letter and missing underwear), her mother blackmailing her for money, the alpha her mother sold her too (there is a slight mention of a prior kidnapping, and one of the alphas (dom) was her bully in high school.
There is just too many conflicts of interest in this one book for me. I feel like this is four different tropes thrown into one book. Maybe she will do a great job of tying it all together later is the series, but right now it feels too messy.
Ok, so first off, be aware that there is a cliffhanger, and boy was it a doozy 😠🤬🤯 Some of the things that this story had that I enjoyed (& that you don’t see a lot of) was secret identity/designation, as well as blackmail from a family member, and we also had scent matches, unwanted courting by another alpha, & forced proximity. There was also a bit of enemies-to-lovers, but it was really more like a stubborn alpha with family issues, along with an alpha with a less than ideal past history with our omega. I also liked that because Chloe, our omega/FMC, was an author, we got a peek into the types of stress & pressure an author must go through.
There were so many layers to this storyline, yet it never felt muddled or overdone, and they all worked together & made sense. It all kept the storyline interesting, with more than a few unexpected surprises, and it all flowed smoothly while taking us on a sweet & spicy, yet emotional, journey. The characters were so well written, and each chapter just built the story up at just the right pace, with just enough tidbits of information to keep my interest piqued. All of our main characters had things that they were having to work through, and while some things sort of got dealt with, we were definitely left with a lot of unresolved questions & problems.
This was definitely more of a slow burn, yet our characters had amazing chemistry, and the spice we did get gave us a peek into what we have to look forward to in the next book.
Ooofff, and y’all, wheww boy, that twist thrown in at the end of chapter 23….👀🫣🤯🤦🏻♀️ Definitely DID NOT see that coming 😂 Or the way that surprise got thrown in at the end that lead to that cliffhanger that left me fuming for our sweet omega 🤬 Chloe already had so much to overcome, but things just got crazy on WHOLE other level for her & the guys. I was so ticked off on behalf of our girl, and the guys, cause at this point they all just need something to go right for a change. I can’t wait for the next book, cause I need someone to fix all of Chloe’s & the guys’ problems…NOW! Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Sorry Knot Sorry, the first book in L.L. Frost’s Pack Alphas of Misty Pines series, is a whirlwind of emotions, secrets, and sizzling romance set against the stunning backdrop of a secluded island. Chloe's journey to Misty Pines Resort starts as a retreat to escape the pressures of her skyrocketing career but quickly turns into an adventure she never saw coming.
Chloe is a relatable and complex protagonist. She’s grappling with the demands of fame, the pressure from her publishers, and the looming threat of her past being exposed by her manipulative mother. These layers of personal struggle add depth to her character and make her journey all the more compelling.
The romance is the heart of this story, and it’s delightfully intense. The four Alphas of Misty Pines—each with their own unique personalities—bring a blend of tension, chemistry, and charm. The grumpy/sunshine dynamic adds a layer of humor and warmth, while the omegaverse elements introduce a captivating twist to the traditional romance arc. The bonding scents and the emotional pull between Chloe and the Alphas create a palpable tension that keeps readers hooked.
L.L. Frost masterfully balances the steamy romance with deeper themes of self-discovery, personal strength, and the importance of finding one’s own happiness amidst chaos. Chloe’s struggle with her toxic family and her fight to protect her career and reputation resonate deeply, making her triumphs feel earned and satisfying.
The island setting of Misty Pines is vividly depicted, offering readers a lush and enchanting escape. The sense of being trapped, both physically on the island and emotionally by her circumstances, amplifies the stakes and adds to the story’s intensity.
Sorry Knot Sorry is a captivating blend of sweet and spicy romance, heartfelt struggles, and enchanting escapism. Fans of contemporary omegaverse and those who love an enemies-to-lovers dynamic with a dash of grumpy/sunshine will find this book irresistible. Chloe’s journey is one of resilience, passion, and finding love in the most unexpected of places. Don’t miss out on this enchanting start to what promises to be a memorable series!.

Chloe having grown up in a messed-up family situation, struck out on her own after college and became a Beta author as she hid her designation as an Omega never really thinking her books would become as popular as they did. During a book signing tour of her latest work she bumps into a man at the event that gets her pheromones all excited but she tamps it down and finishes the event only to leave for a 2 week writing retreat so she can work on her next novel. Unbeknownst to her she stumbles into a “soft open” for a resort where she is the only guest, and one of the 4 owners just happens to be her mystery man from the book signing. Can she keep her emotions and hormones in check during these 2 weeks or will it all blow up in her face and “out” her secret identity?
Blake, Holden, Nathaniel and Dominic have a strong pack but are missing an omega and struggle to find one that will accept them all but that is not their priority right now. They are super focused on getting their dream getaway up and running and are in the middle of construction, family drama of their own when their 1st guest for a “soft opening” arrives. They thought she was a Beta only to accidentally discover that Chloe is an Omega, and they are all drawn to her. Can they keep it together to get the resort up and running on their timeline or will this completely derail them
This book had everything and ended on a cliff hanger which totally blew my mind but has me so excited for the next book in the series. I personally love books when the love interests have “chance encounters” and then meet up again later. But it had a hidden designation, family drama for ALL of the characters, scent matches, childhood friendship to bullying and sweet moments with some of the Alphas whereas a couple of the others still need to redeem themselves for past discretions. The chemistry was definitely there for all parties but as always there is sometimes some communication issues that just get in the way. Amazing story and very well set up for the next book.
You don’t want to wait several months on a cliffhanger.
I am a sucker for a good Omegaverse. This one has not disappointed so far.
Except for the fact that it ended on a big cliffhanger.
Now, do I dislike cliffhangers? Maybe just a little. It’s a love-hate relationship that hurts so good. However, I am not a fan of mislabeling.
By that, I mean there was nothing in the info about this book stating that it was a two-parter and would be left on a cliffhanger. To be fair, it also didn’t state it was a standalone either. However, I thought I would be safe as it didn’t straight out say one or the other. It was labeled as book 1 and 2 not part 1 and 2.
It’s not that I don’t read books with cliffhangers, but if I had known, I would have waited a bit to read it. I don’t love having to wait 6-8 months (sometimes longer) for the next part of the story as I prefer to binge it all at once.
For those suggesting I could just read it again before the release of the next one — you’re right. I could. I may even do that for this one as I enjoyed the story line and characters of Sorry Knot Sorry.
Though in other instances, when it’s a subpar storyline but I do want to know what happens next, I’m not going to waste my time rereading part 1, thus feeling a little confused going into part 2 many months later.
All of that to say —- great book. I hate that nothing stated it would be left on a cliffhanger. I would have waited to read it until April/May 2025.
Chloe, having finished her book signing tour, escapes to an island getaway for some peace and quiet. She's supposed to be spending two weeks getting her writing mojo on for her next book. Instead she's tangling herself up with five hot, dominant alphas.
This would be fine if her monster of a mother hadn't messed up the potential of her life by binding her to a vicious, cold alpha in return for her debts.
Chloe is a sweet omega struggling to make a living whilst hiding her status as an omega author. Whilst Holden is a sensitive alpha expecting to be rejected as different and not enough. Add in Blake with high emotional walls, Dominic with past mistakes to move on from, Nathaniel trying to move out from an oppressive family and Kyle.
This is a fantastic, heartbreaking love story between an omega with abandonment issues and five alphas all with issues of their own. So much tension, misunderstandings, unspoken feelings, murky family ties and hot alpha/omega passion. This ends in a hard cliffhanger but can't wait to find out what happens next.

As an Omega masquerading as a beta, Chloe is a successful fantasy writer. Needing some alone time to escape from her personal life, recharge, and find her next muse, she books a cabin on a resort island. Instead of peace, Chloe finds scent matches. Four swoon-worthy Alphas excite and terrify her. However, she knows as much as she wants these men, she can't have them. She isn't a character in one of her books. Her Alphas aren't book boyfriends. She isn't free to have a happily ever after. Her mom made sure of that.
This is a fantastic beginning to this new series. I fell hard for Chloe, four Alphas, one niece, and one huge dog. Great world-building, character-building, and relationship-building. This book had so many layers to it and each added emotional depth. This is an exploratory, get-to-know-one-another slow-burn with a lot of sexual tension. My favorite. I wasn't prepared for a cliffhanger and didn't handle it well. I never realized this author had a mean streak!
Ugh, this book had so much promise. The first 50% read like a rom com. Especially with the meet cutes.
And Holden is definitely one of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever read!
But this book would be a flat 2 star without those two things adding to it. In fact I love the first 50%. But once Nathaniel officially comes into the picture I feel like everything starts to fall apart for me.
Not to mention toward the end of the book it starts turning into something I am not really a fan of.
I'd love to read more of Holden, but I didn't like the rest of the story enough to continue this series.
I was excited to read a new series by the author. It started out as serendipity type meet-ups between the FMC and a couple of the MMC as she travels to the island of Misty Pines.
It's a story that has potential with plenty of great characters that I feel will be fleshed out for reader's to fall in love with a the series continues.
I guess that my problem was that so much was thrown at the reader in this book - a stalker, a crazy mother, alcoholic sister, a high school bully. There is just a lot to go through in one book and I didn't feel like there was enough backstory, time spent clarifying, whatever. Either thin it out or spread it out across the series. It made for a very muddled first book.
Now is this enough to keep me from reading the next book . . . Nope. There was enough spice, drama, and sweetness to have me hoping that it will be another sailing in the next one.

The start to the Pack Alphas of Misty Pines series don’t start if you don’t plan on finishing in one setting. Chloe is sweet an omega in hiding or trying to be she is an author decides to rent a cabin on an island not realizing she put herself right on the radar of four alphas and they are walking away from their little omega. But with her family who isn’t acting like family blackmailing her, threats, toxicity, all after her fortune and add to that four alpha’s who are willing to prove to her that the alpha’s she write about are actually real and they will protect her but can she risk trust them considering everyone she has ever trusted has turned on her, will she allow them to show her that being an omega has advantages, will her family get to her, or will she find there is happiness even for her?
Chloe is a secret omega author who is really bad at hiding her "omeganess" She goes on a retreat to write her newest book and falls for two of the alphas who own the island resort ( In progress) She falls for the sweet baker and the big guy trying to take care of his family. The other two well.. That will be a fun bit in part two I think.
The book ends in a cliffhanger and will be continued.
I liked a lot about this book! I really enjoy the author and her stories. This is more of a slow burn ( part one) of a story. There is a couple interactions but they are slower and I imagine part two will have more spice.
I look forward to reading the next part of their story!.

I've enjoyed books by this author. Whereas I loved previous books I like this one. What I got from this little story was you have a writer trying to her herself and pretty much sucking at it. Where is the best place to write a good book? a very cool getaway right? Lots of sun, fun, and of course the sexy Alpha's. The story was cute and fun just slow. For me, I wanna get hit in the face at first drop. This story however took its time. A dab of heat and a lot of *heavy breathing* so to speak. Mix that all in with the feels of her hidden identity and the alphaness. Again good story, I just wanted to help push them where I wanted them faster lol. The next book will be interesting to see what happens especially since the writer left us with a what?? Enjoy
Chloe was the sweetest omega. She really had a lot on her plate to handle because her mom was a seriously horrible person. But she just kept trying to make a better life for herself. I loved her early interactions with Blake and Holden. Especially Holden. Can I have a Holden for my pack, please!?
There is a bit of intrigue and drama to make the book interesting and the book really delivers in that respect. This isn’t a simple insta-love pack formation, but I’m really rooting for Chloe and these guys!
My only complaint was that it ended on a cliffhanger and I have to wait for the next book to find out what happens.
Author "Aurora Storm" or Chloe is hiding her true identity as an omega from her fans but goes to a wonderful island retreat to get some work done where she doesn't have to hide her true nature and meets an alpha pack who sweeps her off her feet...
Chloe is running from her past. She has has a mom who is as I would say a pos. Calling her asking for money and threats to expose her to an "ex". A father who cut her out after discovering her mother's infidelity which just isn't right.
There is romance, some angst, and plot twists. What more could you ask for? We'll maybe some more spicy scenes 😉
If you have ever read any of the similar books you will know that every alpha or alpha pack wants an omega and every omega wants her alpha/s but not every pair is a fit match and not every member of a pack wants the same thing so lots of conflict along with lots of fun with a pack of very different alphas a manipulative mother, an adorable child and a huge and fun dog that all gets mixed into a must read story for any omega verse fans but beware It does end on a cliff hanger in lots of ways.

Cliffhanger with sequel not due for more than 6 months
I really hate a cliffhanger when the sequel is more than 6 months away. I wish there would have been a warning in the blurb, but I guess I should have just skipped it until the series was complete. Honestly bummed because this book had my attention and emotion, but I honestly lost interest in the story once I found out that I would have to wait 6+ months to read the next book. As someone who reads at least 3 books a week, this story will be easily forgotten in the mix. I guess I am the one who is sorry knot sorry.
This is my first read from this Author and I'm looking forward to reading more. Sorry Knot Sorry had a strong well written plot, Chloe and her men, Dominic, Holden, Blake, Nathaniel were a strong pack, they were well matched and made for one another, the chemistry was off the charts, it was sexy and sweet, Chloe's mates would do anything for her, they were good together. This was a great story, I enjoyed it. Thank you, L.L. Frost. Great work :)
Sorry Knot Sorry is a whimsical fanfic onegaverse story. It's cute, but lacking. There's a good base with a lot of interesting and creative details, but the overly juvenile main character ruins any romantic aspects of the story. It's an okay read, but definitely not a favorite for me. If you're really in to DDLG reads, then this will probably be a better read for you, than it was for me. Fair warning... It ends with a cliffhanger, and no h.e.a.
She's spent her life having to do what others needed. Living her life as another just so she could try and be herself. But now she finally gets a chance to be herself and it's all going to be taken away from her. But will they let her go?.

I knew from the second I read the synopsis I'd love this book and I was so right. What a horrible time for Kindle Vella to go under! This was one of the best omega stories I've read in a long time. Super sweet, fast read. Not too spicy --🌶️🌶️ overall. I'm looking forward to book 2!
This was a sweet book. I like how the relationships progress differently but they are all still feeling the pull towards her. I enjoy that she was trying to explain her situation a couple of times (even though they kept getting interrupted) Holden was my favourite! I can't wait to read the next one.
I feel like this had a lot of potential. And the majority of the book was okay. But there was a lot going on all at once. And I always take issue when the main female character is spineless. And what's up with not meeting all of her potential love interests in the beginning. Add on a cliffhanger.

I loved the twists and turns in the story and was shocked by the cliffhanger at the end of the book. I found the story addictive and a real page turner. I slowly started falling in love with the characters in this book and I’m already looking forward to the release of the next book in the series. I would recommend giving it a read.
Unfortunately, this author chose to have an omega be a weak willed woman who hides from everyone including herself. In 2024 there should be no reason why a woman willing takes on the debts and issues from someone else. The FMC acknowledges that her family is toxic, that she doesn't have much of a mother, yet allows herself to be used. FMC EVEN STATES THIS. There are some serious boundary issues with the agent, yet Chloe is unable to see that. Another point to the FMC being weak: her bully is at the resort with her and she just allows him in her space and her life. *rolls eyes*
And because this is a RH, we have some dumb nicknames being used: Sweet Girl, sweetheart, little mouse, cupcake. That's four nicknames from the two alphas that are choosing to court the FMC. In fact, one of the alphas claims three of those atrocities.
An amazing story. An outcast trying to find her place and a group of misfits thrown together by Karma or Fate. A harrowing past and a shadow of a future. This was very well orchestrated and the cliffhanger had me on the edge of my seat.
If you're not good with cliffhangers then wait til book 2 is out before you read!.. This book was great.. alternates between sweet and a lil spicy.. had a few omg moments in there as well. I NEED the 2nd book!!
