Bargains with Bite

In the wild world of Sydney's supernatural underbelly, Joey Finch is learning that maintaining peace is a tough gig, especially with the cops breathing down his neck.

It’s a job made all the more difficult when he’s invited to the Devil's Bazaar – the roaming auction where the rich, the magical, and the morally ambiguous come to play. Here, artifacts aren't just antiques; they're power plays with price tags that could cost more than your average soul.

With so many dangerous individuals flooding into the city, a wrong move won’t just earn Joey a social faux pas; it’ll get him a one-way ticket to an early grave. And with enemies popping out of the woodwork, both old faces and new, Joey has his work cut out for him.

Accompanied by his motley crew of friends and a hellhound who's absolutely not a pet, Joey must outwit, outplay, and outlast the conniving crowd of the Devil's Bazaar and prevent an unimaginable power from falling into the wrong hands.

The Devil’s Bazaar is the fifth book in the Joey Finch urban fantasy series by Peter J. Woods. If you like the works of Jim Butcher and Ben Aaronovitch then there's a fair chance you'll love this fast-paced, nail-biting adventure.

I think the writing is very engaging, the author tells a great story and it’s a fun read. Way too much language for my preference, though… He could dial way back on the F bombs for sure!

Love this series

This is an amazing series. The characters are dynamic and the plethora of different personalities and types of characters is impressive.

The magic system is not the best I've ever seen, but the world building and characters/character development make up for it, even for someone like me who is all about the magic system.

For anyone who likes fantasy, I recommend this series!
