Sara Sines is the pen name for a Best Selling - Urban Fantasy author who may (or not) be revealed at a later time. Sara writes romance - fantasy romance, sci-fi romance, contemporary romance, you get it (wink, wink). She might even delve into monster romance at some point in the future.
Sara's debut novel, Finding the Dhampir, published in The Realm of Midnight Anthology in October 2023.
Each of these books is a great read. The way Sara enhances each relationship through every book is masterful. How she manages to explore both complications of dhampir relationships with other supernaturals as well as explore the difficulties of a poly relationship is a beautiful balance. This is a why choose that is far beyond just spice, but deeper relationships, healing, and bonding.
An incredible 3rd book full of sexual tension and desire.. leaving more questions than answers and definitely leaves the reader wanting more. I need that all together scene that's been teased!! Can't wait to hear more from this world and characters!!
Is this the last book? I feel like the ending of the chapter did not really clarify if something more would be occurring? And seemed to end out of nowhere which was my issue with book two as well, but are we done?
Spoilers probably ahead.
What just happened to this series? So much was crammed into this small book. We get her final battle with the queens sort of? A trip to the underworld with hangout times with Lucifer where nothing happened, the. She connects finally with Nathan and then "poof" one big happy family eating breakfast.
I will be looking up if this is the last book because obviously I still have questions and lingering relationship issues that have yet to be resolved. I also am bummed that this book though had a few more sex scenes really didn't have the same relationship connection as the previous two books. Nathan comes out of nowhere. She doesn't even really see or speak to him for two whole books then BAM! Mates. Obv.
I also feel like she got more helpless and whiny as this series progressed which is confusing because she was finally becoming herself and at peace with her magical side and somehow she's this shy demure girl that blushes constantly. Do we not remember she is in her 30s? Not her early 20s trying to find herself and her sexuality? Idk. I think I really liked the idea behind these books but the farther I got into them the less it worked.
ARC Review: Claiming the last Dhampir Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
“Claiming the Last Dhampir” by Sara Sines is a thrilling and satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, earning a well-deserved 4.5 stars. The story follows the protagonist’s journey to find peace and embrace her true self while navigating dangerous and powerful enemies. The emotional depth and character development are compelling, particularly in the protagonist’s relationships with the men who love her.
One minor critique is the limited space given to the romance between the female main character (FMC) and Nathan, which felt long-awaited over 2.5 books. Nonetheless, the narrative is enriched with great spice and a well-paced plot, making for a quick and entertaining read. The open-ended conclusion hints at potential future expansions in this captivating world. Overall, “Claiming the Last Dhampir” is a delightful mix of action, romance, and fantasy, keeping readers engaged and eager for more.

This was such an amazing end to this trilogy! The world building (especially the Underworld...) was done to perfection and really rounded up all the characters. I really enjoyed the personal growth and depth in all the men but especially in Lorna. Her self acceptance through her struggles really speaks to everyone that will read about her! I wouldn't mind some bonus scenes in future though.. And excited to read more about Lucifer and Underwolrd
I absolutely loved this series and I didn’t want this book to end! I really hope we get snippets of them going forward or another book down the road with a continuation of their adventures. Everything about each character and their journey was unique and kept you rooting for all of them and their journey. I loved Lorna and Mir and the dedication they had to learning each other while keeping everyone safe too. I can’t pick a favorite guy they all were special and fun in their own way. I’m so happy to have found Sara’s work and can’t wait to see where we’re taken next! The world building was excellent and really drew you into the story.
While this book was enjoyable, there were a couple things that kept me from giving it four stars like I did its predecessors. 1. In the first two books, the pacing was fast, always containing a sense of urgency. Not so in this book. The pacing was consistently slower and I found myself pretty bored with all the living room talks. 2. We find out in this book who is behind the kidnappings, but this seemed to resolve itself a little too quickly. You'll know what I mean when you read it. 3. The chemistry just wasn't there this time around ... Not sure why.
Yet again Sara has created another perfectly amazing read!!! Getting to see how each relationship is formed and the difficulties they overcome to accept a shared mate is just *chefs kiss*. Watching Lorna and Mir realize how accepted they are by their guys is really heart warming, considering they never really felt this way before. And of course the banter between Mir and Lorna brings so much laughter throughout the book! You guys need to pick up this series!
Sara, thank you so much for this outstanding series, a type I never thought I would read! Absolutely loved every single word on the pages!
Book three was very good. Fae playing at taking over the world, playing with species. The underworld was not what I expected at all. Everything that happened down there was pretty special for our dhampir. The power these mates can generate makes me believe that we are going to be seeing more of them.
Oh how the story twists and turns! The suspense and intrigue layered with the romance and smut to create a plot filled and heady story. Such a wild ride will live rent free in your head for days.
Coming into these books I was unsure about them because it’s new to what I’ve previously read but honestly I loved it so much and will be diving deeper into similar tropes etc.!
This was such a great way to end the series! The personal growth was incredible! And the story itself was just so much fun to read! I never felt like I was ever bored and just really enjoyed it! I read it quite fast too cause I just didn’t want to put it down.
Definitely sad it’s over but will be picking up anything else Sara writes ❤️
This book was a nice conclusion to this Trilogy. We finally see Lorna claim all her guys. I was so excited when she finally was able to get Nathan and Elliot. I will say the reveal just makes me want to stay in this world even longer. I don't want it to end. Being able to see how things could be with everyone just felt like a taste. I'd gladly jump back into this world to learn more about the guys or even to see how Lorna grows from here. There was fighting and reveals and just ugh...so much. We meet the fae queens in this book and the king of the underworld himself!
The spice in this book was ok. I was kinda hoping we were going to get what we were teased with but alas Sara edged us into oblivion. I'd give the spice a 3 out of 5. It was ok. Since the book is short it didn't get too hot and heavy. Overall I give this book a 3. I wanted a little more from this book. It could have been longer considering it was the ending of this series. I will say it has wet my appetite for more! I wouldn't be opposed to jumping into another characters life in this world. It's interesting how the different supernatural races interact with each other and how the vary. I'd recommend this series to anyone looking for paranormal romance with a dash of fantasy thrown in. It is a nice short Trilogy that will leave you wanting more!
I don't know why I read all the three books. I realised I don't actually enjoy the serie. Sometimes even if the first book is not the full ten, plot is enough interesting and keep evolving, it is funny or hot or characters are enough interesting to get to known. Not in this case. The male characters were too similar. Even though there was chapters from their points of view, it was hard to remember who was talking because they were all the same. And there was not interesting mainplot. I was also disappointed that writer didn't use any sidecaharacters from first book. There really was nothing exept the main female and her men, who were not difference enough from each others. It got superboring. I also got wibes there was a lot of same kind of stuff I just have read from different authors, just more lame.
One good thing was that that Female main character was not a total innocent teenager. I mean she was in the first book, now it seems author sometimes forgotten she supposed to be cool adult with army backround.
This was a really intriguing storyline and was kind of a nice break from the predictability of some. The dhampir concept was new for me and not a paranormal creature I'd read about before. This is a why choose romance so be aware of that as you read. Each book is actually a quick read. There's a lot of story in each for averaging 200 pages. Lorna grows a lot as a character from book one when she didn't know what she was to book three and claiming her own identity and being claimed by her hunky men. I think there's room for a spin off series to happen with supporting characters and it would be nice to see Lorna and he guys again, especially Mir.
If I had one complaint it would be that this book was not long enough! I am very glad there will be more of this series because damn, I was really looking forward to some more group work...and while there was a lot of growth for the characters everything just felt like it wrapped up a bit too fast. But that might be a me problem based on the length of books on my read list 😅
Some interesting new developments were revealed though, I can't wait to find out what the deal is with with Lord of the Underworld.
Literally the perfect conclusion to this series!!! I've enjoyed the ride and while I'm sad that this series is ending, I'm excited to learn about the Underworld and what secrets it has been keeping! I'm hoping we get to see what Lucifer has been hiding and why he did it. I also what his back story! 😂 please if you haven't read the rest of this series, go do it now!! Sara is an amazing author and I can't wait for more of her stuff
An amazing end to an amazing trilogy. Watching Lorna come out of her shell and finally accept herself and her men. Everyone provides her with something special that she needs. I don't even know if I can pick a favorite. But this was a beautifully written story and i can't wait to read more from Sara Sines! Can't recommend stop recommending this series!!!
This has been a brilliant read. Great way to end the trilogy. I really enjoyed the world building. The spice is nice but the deep relationship building is where its at. Definitely one of my top reads of 2024.
I can't wait to read what comes next from the author.
This is rare but it's a good book that isn't long enough. There are a lot of hanging plotlines that are unresolved which is frustrating. Perhaps the story started to big for the author's time or interest but there is at least another 2 books for the series to draw to a natural conclusion but with the story as it is now.
BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT. I loved this series from start to finish. The world building was great, the characters were written so good and the story was so captivating I couldn't put the book down.
ARC Review Lorna and the guys finally learn more about Dhampirs and what really happened to them all those years ago. We also see more of the Fae realm and the underworld. Lorna also claims Elliot and Nathan, so now her heart is full. The guys all learn to love her and not get jealous.
The final book in this series which I loved. I could not put the book down again and finished it in about 2-3 days. I love how Lorna is still her strong feisty independent self and she will be a forever favorite character of mine. Sara Sines thank you so much for writing this amazing series.
This book made me laugh. I just love the banter between Lorna and Mir. I love all things magic and supernatural and this had it all. It also left it open for more books in that world without leaving on a cliffhanger. I really do hope we get to read Lucifer's story next.
Ooh that went downhill fast. wtf is that ending. Is that it? I feel like nothing actually happened in this book, it was anti climactic and the FMC became annoying? How’d she go from strong army badass to whimpering fool? This is the last book? Surely not. It just doesn’t make sense
I absolutely love this world that Lorna is in. She finally gets all her mates in their entirety and I am here for it! I hope there is more to this series as I just love it!
Very good addition to this series, but it really didn't feel like the end. I felt like there was so much we didn't get to see from all the characters or spend enough time getting to know them and their pasts. I love the dynamics between the characters and the way they depend on each other. Really good book and writing overall.
E' tutto talmente superficiale e veloce che quando ho finito il libro stavo ancora aspettando che partisse davvero. Non credo che leggerò altro di questa scrittrice.
Great quick read. I would say it seem to end on a cliff hanger even though this is only a trilogy. Hopefully there will be other books. I want more from this world!!
