Commander Yueril of the Galactic Authority was on a mission that he never expected to return from, all in the name of protecting the universe against the Solungors, an invasive species destroying every planet they touch. Though, when he arrives at the outlaw planet Delta-Fal, he comes across someone he least expected to meet, a mate that makes his instincts scream to protect her, but she may just be the one protecting him.
Hazel is snatched from her home planet Estreldez by the krelis horde that seeks to invade her planet, but when she arrives to be sold off to slavers, one takes pity on her and sneaks her off ship, only to find herself trapped on an outlaw planet with no one willing to help her now that she holds the mark of the Birds of Zorn.
For those of you monster fudgers that love something different and like your aliens more alien than human, this spicy romance is for you. The trill are a reptilian species with sharp teeth, scales, fancy peens, and exceptionally playful tails. There's a bit of a breeding kink, but there is no "oops I'm preggers", none of that in these pages. Fated mates, mating marks, biting, tail play, knotting, and even a bit of exhibitionism. All the fun stuff.
This is a standalone alien romance with 3 full spicy scenes that will have you curling your toes, and a fascinating universe that unravels the more books you read in the Trillume Universe. I love it whenever he calls her his treasure—it feels like a hug to my heart. Sky has a way of building anticipation, and as a reader, I’m drawn to how she weaves her stories. It’s so easy to connect with her books. Learning more about Vareos before he even met his own Jewel (from Jewel of the Alien Bandit) was a big "aha" moment for me. It was a very short read with a solid story that stayed focused and wasn’t all over the place.

Very intense, action packed, steamy start of the Trillume Series. This alien love story is mixed with a potential suicide mission. Yueril is a Trill leading a mission to plant untested nanotechnology in order to prevent mass extinction from the virus-infected Solusgor. Along the way, he meets an Estreldez female Hazel, his “Treasure” and mate. She has a murky past and only knows her past from her “mother” who has passed. Or does she?? Be prepared to meet a very unique set of main characters all who have very different body parts and ways to defend and breed. The world building is incredibly complex yet exquisitely described. There will be heroes and villains along the way with many that seem grey. Love, lust, and evil, as well as empathy, true compassion and respect abound. I have read all the books in this series and have been moved by all of them. Sometimes you just know when a series is going to pull you in and leave its essence behind - this is one of them. Enjoy!

As always Sky Robert doesn't disapoint, a soul-gripping tale past before the timeline of the series and that shows why the Trills spread the Ganpan-Fal.
Yueril knows at first sight that Hazel is his Treasure and will do anything to realease her from the grip of lord Bron but there are shocking secrets to unravel...
A good world building and development of the characters, lots of spice(with very special sexual bits),a bit of intrigue and adventure makes Her alien Starbreaker a must read!
Special mention to a younger Vareo and the birds of prey that play a part in the story.

Continuing in the vein of Her Alien Insurgent (which I loved), yet slightly less foreign. Not sure if that’s because some of the terminology was already familiar or because it was just less WAY out there.
This was perhaps more focused on the two main characters, with fewer nebulous ones that you weren’t sure whether they were good guys or bad guys
Most importantly, there’s a love story in a truly alien way—as in you’ve never dreamt or seen anything like it, which makes for a wild ride and truly unique—if weird—experience.
And yes, there’s sex. Lots of it. 🙂

Yueril and Hazel’s Story . . .
Commander Yueril of the Galactic Authority was on a mission to deal with an invasive species that destroys every planet they make contact with. As he arrives on the outlaw planet Delta-Fal, however, he finds his Estreldez mate, Hazel, instead! She had been taken there to be sold, but one of her captors allowed her to escape from the ship. However, because of her radiation absorption, she must remain on Estreldez. She must either have access to a radiation chamber or carry a radiation pack with her at all times or she won’t survive. She hears that Lord Zorn would have no use for her now and may simply choose to kill her by throwing her out the airlock and into space like debris. And she had never lived among the clan back on Estreldez so they wouldn’t know her if she were to be returned there. So she remained in the chamber until Lord Zorn figured out what he wanted to do with her. What will her fate be now? Will Yueril survive the virus? Will the experimental nanotechnology give them hope for a future? Or will this be the end for everyone?
There are kinky parts of the story I chose to skip over. But the rest of the story keeps the reader’s attention and is worthwhile to read.

Love alien romance and intricate world-building? Sky Robert never disappoints in that department.
Her Alien Starbreaker is part of the Trillume Universe and as someone who isn’t up-to-date with that series yet, navigating this book without being too confused was a bit tricky at the beginning. But once I familiarized myself with the terms —very thankful for the glossary— Yueril and Hazel’s story captivated me. No human female here, both the MMC and FMC are aliens from different planets. Their paths cross, definitely not in the best circumstances, but they were inevitable. This short story did not let you rest, with the action it packed, but the love story was well woven within it.

Her Alien Starbreaker is a part of the Beyond Earth anthology, as well as a precursor to the Trillume series. It is a well written page-turner with Sky Robert's signature world building, which is thorough and creative. Hazel is an Estreld who has been captured to be a slave. She is slowly dying without her moon's radiation, when the Trill Yueril finds her on an outlaw planet. Their interactions are full of heat and some crazy spice. I highly recommend this sci-fi romance, which has non-stop action and a couple of twists.

Her Alien Starbreaker is an exciting origin story for the Trillume Universe series where we learn why the Trills released the Ganpan-Fal virus that the other novels are dealing with the fallout from.
I found this story a little difficult to get into as the first chapter felt a bit disjointed for me, but this soon resolves and then I was completely captivated by Hazel and Yueril and the twists and turns as they take on Lord Zorn. An excellent balance between romance and action, Her Alien Starbreaker is an intense read for fans of the series!

Gleeful Goblin Review: This is some kind of wild ride man. I loved this story in all its sci-fi political machinations. There's a ton of layered intricacies when it comes to interspecies conflict to the point of reminding me of 5th Element meets Game of Thrones....plus tail play and knotting but minus gross family dynamics. It's an epic space adventure where our two very alien main characters can't keep away from each other while also having to save the universe and battle villainy across the stars. It's a steamy space opera you won't want to miss set in the same universe as Treasures of The Trillume. 5/5 Stars.

I've enjoyed reading this author's books and was thrilled to see she had a story in this Beyond Collection. :) This features two characters, who are both alien, Hazel, who has been taken from her home planet and Yueril, who on return from his mission, ends up on a planet where he finds Hazel. She had been about to be sold to slavers, when one, had chosen to save her but dumped her on the planet where Yueril finds her. It was a quick read, for me and a story filled with the adventure and heat we all enjoy. :D

4.5⭐️ 2 Aliens from different planets find each other
The world that Sky Robert has created is very intricate & detailed. It took me a little bit to get into the story because I needed to remember the details from other stories in the series. Once I got into it, though, I really enjoyed it. I loved how protective & gentle Yueril is with his mate, Hazel. There are some surprising twists that create a more interesting story. It is very steamy & gives us a HEA. If you like steamy alien romances, this book is for you.

Hazel has had a rough live, an escaped slave, barely surviving. This all changes once she meets Yueril. He seems captivated by her right from the start. Never having anyone look out for her before left her quite suspicious of him. Despite placing himself in danger, he won’t give up on her. Things keep getting more complex and just helping her causes more complex issues and thrusts her into danger as well.

I absolutely love this universe and Sky has done it again with this one!! I couldn’t get enough of Yueril and Hazel! The spice, the story, just everything was ‘Chefs Kiss’!!! If you haven’t started reading in the Trillume Universe yet, then this is a great place to start!! Highly recommend this author and this whole series!!.

Unlike many, this alien romance is literally between two aliens, no humans involved. The creative details of life, fight, politics, sex, and romance are amazing. Being able to actually picture what is happening is intriguing and complicated.

I liked that both love interests in story were non-human. That was a nice change of pace from the typical human/alien pairing.
However, I found the story to be a bit all over the place and hard to follow once it got down to explaining what was going on.

loved it !! love Hazel and Commander Yueril... this is their story.. a fast paced drama... Hazel is a fugitive slave just trying to survive... Commander Yueril is on a mission but, needs direction and asks her... this is their beginning... so good !!!.

I really enjoyed this as a scifi romance novel, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed getting into this world. Sky Roberts was able to write a strong story and had me hooked from the first page. It was alien enough and was hooked with what was happening.

Hazel, a human is captive but is saved by Yueril, an alien. The well-written plot follows their journey to a HEA. Can't wait for the author's next book.

This story was exciting, full of action, and steamy with tender moments. I loved the tail and unique peen. This is a prequel to the series and gives a whole new take of the overarching plot.
