Jamie thinks he might be going crazy. His strange, sexual dreams seem to have taken a mind of their own and Jamie can't decide if he loves them or hates them. The dark being in his dreams have Jamie jumping at shadows in reality, and driving him to distraction with arousal he can't seem to help.
He knows his dreams can't be real. They can't be.
Monsters don't exist...
The Monster Beneath series has a 6 Dove rating and features a nonhuman with tentacles from the void and spiders. No happy ending.
How does one review a D Dove book? A level 6 D Dove book. Does anyone know? Asking for a friend.
If you like erotic horror but also don't like how far erotic horror can go sometimes, this is definitely for you. It's the sweet side of dubcon. Who knew that was a thing and who knew I'd be so into it. This is really short so there's not too much to say, also not a lot I can say since I just got out of review jail. But if I could make some request it would be that I wish these were longer because there is clearly something happening to Jamie that I want to see fully play out and manifest. I don't know if we will but fingers crossed. I understand why we don't get a whole lot of time with Noh but I would like to see more of him. It's a series(?) that leaves me wanting more but in a good way. So 4.5 stars but I'm rounding up because see above. Also I'm trash for anything this human writes. I've accepted my fate.
Holy shit. Huge heads up for spiders, this is not for those who want to avoid them.
I honestly wasn't expecting this. I feel like this book is more erotic horror (or just plain horror 💀) than the others. If that was the purpose, then it did a great job. I gasped when that scene happened, I usually can handle anything but I think I found my limit lol. Bugs and smut just don't go together for me.
I'll keep reading this series, it's great if you're looking for a spooky time. Part of me is surprised at how this author is going all out, and another hopes that there are no more spiders moving forward 🥲.
I used to wonder who was the most oblivious between Noh and Jamie, and now I definitely believe that it's Jamie. Imagine having the same “dreams” all the time, noticing strange things happening in your everyday life, and still think it's not real? At this point, what would it take for him to notice Noh? 😂 He reminds me of characters in horror movies who refuse to realize that their house is haunted even though several people already died.
If MM sci-fi stories aren’t your thing, this might not be for you—but if you’re open to it, you’re in for a wild ride! I’m thoroughly enjoying this crazy, captivating series, and now I’m hooked, eager to find out what happens next.
If you’re looking for a fast-paced, continuous storyline that pulls you in deeper with every installment, give this series a try!

Oh my, I love this. Every new story just makes me love Noh more and also feel for Jamie. The spider-like fantasy was hot and still kept me engaged, even after previous two books of non-con. I am living for the gentle non-con.
I hope that there will be more to these two, and that the two meet soon. I know that poor Jamie will struggle, but Noh is determined to wow and keep his mate. so: *finggers crossed*
I don’t know if Jamie should also blame him mom for him trying to compartmentalize ‘mating’ with a monster night after night or what. But at least one of them seems to be ending with an HEA lol. I hope this author makes more from this series!!!
