An accident gave her power, and living her dream of archaeology gave her peace until her blood woke an ancient Hmrain who had actually spent time on her world and gave her another touch of home.
Harwin is the last of her family, and her name is their name. Crushed in a cargo accident, she was repaired using the wrong setting on a medical device. Her brain and body were rewired and telekinetic, which led her to a new point in bodyguard. Helping a Hmrain when someone tried to attack his consort gained her a free bond and let her take on her dream job with an expedition to a silent world. There was an ancient temple, and the description made her heart ache with home sickness. Finding an ancient temple in the middle of an empty space was astonishing, but having her blood be the key to the entryway was downright odd. The team was excited, and days passed before a raider came to take what the temple had to offer. It sets off a chain of events that takes Harwin to the end of destruction and builds her back up in the arms of Ra.
My favorite series. The only one I haven’t really cared for was 13. I just couldn’t get involved in it. Thankfully the last two seem to be back on track. Unfortunately for you people reading, I suck at reviews and ramble to get something down. I think it benefits the authors on Amazon in some way and since I don’t know if just rating helps, I’m spitting out words, lol.
This is one of my favorite story arcs. At first, I thought what a perfect end however Overload Ra buried two cities on dead earth and intend ps to raise them. There have to be at least two more stories about Hmrain and their human consorts. Also is it pronounced Emrain or Hemrain?
