Every year on Father's Day, the Tripp family comes together for a celebration of their late dad's life. Their home is Maple Grove, New Hampshire, a charming and friendly community nestled in the heart of New England. A plentiful meal is served; memories are shared; and love overflows. But as wonderful as it is on the surface, each sibling is as different as night and day, and each has their own tale of loss and redemption. In this Maple Grove prequel, we meet each Cameron, Steve, Ronnie, Callie, and Noah (along with their mother, Marty) and see just how distinct a family can be, and how everyone has a battle in need of fighting.
Katana Collins is a USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels, novellas, and comic books in a variety of genres. She is most known for her sensual contemporary romances and her wildly popular comic book— Batman White Knight Presents: Harley Quinn with DC Comics.
When she was younger and stole her mother’s Harlequins to read beneath the covers with a flashlight, she wanted to read about the tough as nails heroine. The perfectly imperfect girl with quirks and attitude and sass. And the anti-heroes who were anything but “Prince Charming.” Forget the knight on a white horse … she wanted the bad boy on a motorcycle.
An avid animal lover, she lives in Portland, Maine with her kind of mean cat, derpy lab-pitt mix, mellow chihuahua, and very not mellow cairn terrier puppy. Oh, yeah… there’s a husband somewhere in that mix, too.
She can usually be found in a coffee shop with her nose buried in a laptop wearing fabulous (albeit sometimes impractical) shoes.
She loves connecting with book lovers like herself, and fellow sassy storytellers, so feel free to drop her an email, visit her on her website. She also loves connecting on Instagram, Facebook or in her reader group, Kat’s Kittens!
I guess I didn't really pay attention to what this book was before I started it...but figured it out pretty fast. It's a prequel to the Maple Grove series where you literally meet each of the main characters for the next few books in the series, which are full length novels. I enjoyed the writing but there isn't much of a story to this one...it's literally just a character introduction. But...I am interested in checking out book 1 in the series...so it served it's purpose. I do love the writing...but I'm pretty sure you can skip this novella if you want to because it doesn't really have much to offer in its own.
I enjoyed reading about the Tripp family. They are a tight knit family, and would do anything for each other, even if they don't always see eye to eye on things. I look forward to reading more about each of them.
A quick read and an introduction to the Tripp family. A great and enjoyable addition to the series, the Tripp family is definitely become one of my favorite fictional families.
I loved meeting the Tripp family. I can hardly wait to learn each story for each of the family. I am looking forward to this series as with all Katana's books. She brings out all the wonderful characteristics of each family member and how the family as a whole support each other. Love and can't wait for the rest of the family to come to light.
Very nice novella that introduces all five siblings, but focuses mainly on Collin a 30ish father and widower. Story flows well and editing was superb, can't recall comming across any errors. I can see this series to be easily five books. All the characters are likable so far.
This book was a FREEBIE. It was short and sweet, but a great introduction to the Tripp family. Plus there was an excerpt from the next book, Capturing You, which I look forward to reading next.
Super sweet book that's the prequel to Capturing You. I read this book after Capturing You, (so I did it backwards!) but it's a good introduction to the Tripp family. And I loved reading about Lydia and Cam's initial meeting from his perspective.
