Natalie Harper runs a small flower shop downtown, where she spends her days in tranquility… monotonous tranquility. Every day, she opens up shop at the same time, sees the same customers and sells the same flowers. There’s no need for her to want for anything until a midnight walk leads her to a young man who makes her bloom.
Jack Storm would do anything for his sick mother. With staggering hospital bills, Jack needed money and he needed it fast. Who knew that would lead to him joining the notorious Devil’s Hornets. The club gives him the rush and big bucks he needs to not only give his mother financial support but give her the luxurious life she always deserved. It’s all fine… as long as he keeps it a secret.
Jack never thought there would be any other reason for living other than to support his mother. Natalie has a lot more love to give than she ever thought. But Jack’s double life just might be too much for this innocent girl to a life where tomorrow might never come.
EXCERPT
He looked at her face and tried to figure out if she was joking or not. She didn’t seem overwrought, and he thought he saw a hint of a smile on her mouth. Natalie had one hell of a sense of humor. There weren’t many ladies that would be talking about their adventure with a near death experience with a smile. Marveling over her personality, he wondered if she showed this side of herself when she was with other men. It was irresistible. She was equal parts of feisty, intelligent, honest, and sexy. The last was understated, not the blown out of proportion sexy that society seemed to make the normal. Her brown hair had more red in it under the lights, and he wished he could draw or someone would come by and take a picture because he wanted to remember this.
“Next question?” She said, looking a bit peaked. She liked to be stared at or maybe she enjoyed the attention. Either way, it looked very good on her.
This is book 1 in Kathryn Thomas's Devil Hornets series. This is good story with great sex scenes. This is Jack and Natalie story and it a juicy one. Natalie is a single woman who owes a flower shop in a rough neighborhood. Well one day walking home from work she is attacked by a drug addict looking for money, Jack Storm is there it rescue her. Their chemistry is off the charts and he doesn't waste no time getting down and dirty with her. This does have a cliffhanger but nothing over the top. Overall great story and I can't wait to see what happens in the next two book.
