She was destined to show him the joy and pain of living.

Joe Campbell has it all: money, success, and fame. As lead singer of alternative rock band Blind Man’s Alibi, he holds the vague conviction that life on the road, and nights filled with meaningless sexual encounters, is enough. Until her – Emma Travers. She is a breath of fresh air. Sunshine to his darkness. The one who changes him, pushes him, and teaches him to truly live. He never imagines she is hiding a devastating secret. Or that the same emotion that could steal his heart, would ultimately break it.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

What can I say about this book. It completely Wrecked me (no pun intended). I love everything by Sarah Grimm but this book is her best yet. I can't get the characters or the story out of my head. It is one that will stay with me forever.

Joe Campbell...hmm what can I say about him. Holy Hotness. Front Man for Blind Man's Alibi. He is fighting demons and is stuck in a dark place.

Emma Travers a huge fan of Blind Man's Alibi and her best friend gets her tickets front and center.
She is keeping a secret and fighting her own demons. She is feisty and I love how she gives B.M.A members all she can.. She doesn't back down

I can't say much about this story with out giving away some spoilers so I am just going to say this is a MUST READ! This book will have you in tears by the end. It is an emotional read, and one that you may want to have tissues on hand. The secondary characters are just as much as the story as the main. I can't wait to read more about Gare and most of all Kirk. Kirk stood out to me the most as a secondary character and I need to know more about him

**arc received for honest review**

First we want to say how much we loved this story, not very often do you pick up an arc and start read and think omg this is going to ruin you but you have to read it anyway just to read there story knowing your not going to get that white picket fence, 2.5 kid happy ending story?

Yeah well this is one of them books!!

Do you ever just flow through life just doing the same routine the same daily grind and never actually stopping to smell the roses?

Dance under the stars?

Actually really look at people?

Is life always that busy you are just flying through it and not appreciating the little things in life?

Not Emma…..

She is determined to live life to the fullest.

She is going to make it count.

She is only 23 years old and wont be here for much longer she will be lucky to last another 6 months with the monster that’s in her head.

Emma decided she was going to make the most of what time she has left little did she realize that she would fall for her asshole rock star!!

Alison is Emma’s best friend has been for a long time she has been with Emma all the way through her treatments. Alison decides that they are going to celebrate Emma’s birthday even though it’s not really her birthday but she get them tickets to a concert and that’s when Emma’s world takes a change for the good.

She meets him.

His sad.

His lonely.

She’s attracted to him.

She sees behind his mask.

She’s his little ray of sunshine.

His light in his darkness.

Joe is the singer of a famous rock band that is touring.

In the midst of there concert he sees her, shes like a breath of fresh air.

His drawn to her.

She makes him see the light.

Little does Joe realize he is going to have to work if he wants her.

After some ups and down and Joe working hard to get Emma she starts to become sicker as the weeks are passing she tries to keep it from Joe and he seems to be turning a blind eye.

Little did they know that they were going to fall in love Emma falls for Joe hard but she never wanted him to fall for her she just wanted to live a bit experience things with him.

She wanted to show him the light.

She didn’t want to be lonely.

After Joe learns the truth about Emma’s health his world comes crushing down around him.

Will Joe’s light go out?

Will he return to his old ways?

Will Joe continue on living a life that Emma had shown him?

We absolutely loved to hate this book it was such a beautiful story between Emma and Joe we read it so slowly as every page seem to bring us hope that everything would be ok but sometime life can be a cruel bitch!

We were taken on such an emotion roller coaster that we are going to be left with a book hangover.

We laughed.

We cried.

We cried harder.

But we would never want to un read this beautiful well written loved story about a rock star with no light and a tragic 23 year old sassy smart mouth girl that was about to loose a battle to a monster!!

Well done Sarah on an amazing story!!

It’s a must read!!

The gift of love, for another person, for life, for everything around you, this is the gift that one young woman left for the man she loved when they finally parted. Grab a huge box of tissues or even a roll of papertowel, because the power in the words of author Sarah Grimm will leave you a heaving puddle of goo.

Joe had almost everything, fame, fortune, and females offering themselves up for a moment of passion with him, to touch the magical façade that is a super rock star. And then she blew into his life, like a hurricane, she became his all-encompassing passion, the glue to put his shattered life together, making him want to be a man deserving of her un-admitted love.

Emma is going to take life by the horns, ride it, tame it and make her slave, because her time on Earth has an early expiration date and she knows it. When fate gave her a chance at love, adventure and at the turmoil of loving a broken man, she took it, and ran with it, determined to wring every drop of life’s essence and love’s sweetness into the time she has left. Joe is her dream come true, but he is damaged, broken, lost and hollow.

Follow Sarah Grimm’s Wrecked and feel every emotion, every moment through Emma’s eyes and heart while learning what makes Joe who he is and why. Together they share more love in a few months than most people know in a lifetime. They say love the person for who they are, not who you want them to be, but Emma’s gift of love to Joe is to show him the man he truly is. Joe’s gift to Emma is his love, his devotion and allowing her to feel as alive as any person can feel. Filled with passion, heartbreak and even the day to day struggles of living on the road, one woman takes control of her life and lives it her way, in the arms of the man behind the rockstar.

Let Sarha Grimm fill your heart with love, scrape it raw with pain and heal it with the knowledge that two people found each other against all odds.

I received this copy from Sarah Grimm in exchange for my honest review. I honestly sobbed, chuckled and rose my eyebrows too many times to count. This is powerful writing.

W.R.E.C.K.E.D is how I feel after reading this story….

Wrecked from the emotions this book gave me.

Wrecked at how Joe will cope…

THIS BOOK. I loved Emma Travers, her desire to take her life by the horns and live every day to the fullest she possibly can, while struggling with certain pain from her illness.
She is at the concert of band Blind Man’s Alibi with her friend Alison. Joe, the lead singer sees her in the audience. What eventuates between the two will have you biting your nails. The whole book I just couldn’t put down.
Joe, when he sees Emma in the audience, he mentions that he sees Emma as his “light” in the darkness of his life. In a sense that is what she becomes to him. They are a really good mesh these two and when you read you will understand why. I loved Emma’s direct attitude, saying whatever comes into her mind. That made her amazing and standing up for herself was brilliant. Of course as you will also see why she is like the way she is…..IM not saying anymore about that….
I cried at the end, sobbed…..I wanted to give Joe as well as Gary a massive hug. Oh I don’t know what else to say really BUT the heat factor in this story is off the charts HOT too….

This was an amazing LOVE story like nothing else I have read before and I look forward to reading more from author Sarah Grimm.

I was given this book for an honest review
I'm not sure if my words can do this book justice, this book is titled WRECKED and that's what it will do to you.
Joe Campbell is front man for Blind Man's Alibi and he is hot as hell but he like most rockers is fighting demons and is in a bad place.
Emma Travers friend gets her front row center tickets for a BMA concert and Joe spots her in the audience. Emma has her own secrets and demons but will that stop her helping Joe after all maybe that's just what she needs to help her through her dark times......
Emma is the light in his darkness but will the light go out as we come to end of this book......
I don't want to give too much away as I hate spoilers in reviews but this book is a book you will not want to put down, its a book you will not want to end and you will be WRECKED at the end of it. Sarah Grimm is a new author to me and this book is written beautifully even though it broke my heart. This book is about finding your soul mate your forever person ......
I didn't think I could cry so much but still love a book till I read Wrecked

Joe the big rockstar & Emma the girl he falls hard for are such an awesome couple. The sex & the tension between them is the best they've ever had! She's covering up her issues but all the while helping him with his!! I liked how she linked Gary in there as a great man also. With out giving it away I have to say I have never had a full on cry for a book before! This one did it & I didn't want to put it down until it was over. Then I didn't want it to end!!! Wish I could give it a 10 star!!!

Wrecked! That is exactly what I was during the book and afterwards. Ms. Grimm did a wonderful job of telling this story, it's not an subject to write or read about. Emma our lead female is a strong young woman who has a fatal diagnosis and has a limited amount of time left of her life. Joe, lead singer of Blind Man's Alibi is pretty much in his own dark space. What he loves, no longer really brings him joy. Emma decides to live life to the fullest while Joe, decides to drown his pain away, with whisky. Fates decide to jump in and help them both, and Emma and Joe meet... Funny Emma is a sassy breath of light in Joe's world who doesn't take his crap, or fall for his smooth lines. I love her! This book is over 100K but it reads so fast, and develops so easily along the way. No spoilers, but you have to know the outcome by her fatal diagnosis. Gary, Joe's bodyguard and friend is one of the secondary characters that stand out and makes you want to beg, Ms. Grimm for his own story as well. Have tissues, handy as if you are like me, you will laugh out loud, cry and want to silently make deals for the characters that they live and get a HEA. 5/5 Cross Posting to My Reading Reality.

Wrecked by Sarah Grimm is without doubt one of the most emotionally beguiling books that I have read. I was totally enraptured from the first page & do not hesitate to name it my "Book of the Year 2016". Yes, I do realise that the year is barely begun but just as I felt in April last year (with my choice for 2015) Wrecked is superb. When it was finished, I had to turn round & read it again & I know that it will be reread over & over again. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review, but it was already a pre-order, a guaranteed purchase & read. Wrecked is a love story, it's powerful, it's overwhelming & the question at the forefront of mind is "what about Joe & Gare?" I can't wait for the next book in the series. Sarah Grimm has set the bar impossibly high with this book; I trust that the rest of the series will be phenomenal. Read this book, do not wait - it is worth your time & your money. Read Wrecked now.

Let me tell you for starters that I never read a book if it doesn't have a HEA but the plot of this one seemed compelling enough and I love Ms.Grimm's writing style.

Oh My God! I couldn't put it down. I devoured it and I cried a lot but it is so beautifully written that I enjoyed immensely and I am sure that this one will stay with me for a long time as the historicals I used to read as a teenager. That moving was this book. I don't to spoil the read for anybody so I will only say that it is totally worth it. I honestly hope I will have more books to come about the other members of the band.

If your read for a HEA, leave this book the fuck alone--Ms Grimm, I can't forgive you.

The characters, Joe and Emma in the lead, others as secondaries are fabulous. I didn't much like them for the first 15% of the book, but then they overtook me. Utterly. I think this must be why I'm in shock and hurting. Hurting, so damn much, I want to rip the last chapters from the book and demand a re-write.

You can kill off a slew of characters in a book and readers will mourn. Ms Grimm kills off one and it feels like the end of the word--that's how brilliantly Ms Grimm drew Emma, with hot-as-hell Joe as her foil.

Not a romance because there's no HEA, but yes a romance because the tragedy is so stunningly brilliant.

This book is amazing. It will make you laugh and cry, so make sure you have tissues handy. When you put a woman who wants to live her life and not be alone with a guy who is a rock star who drowns himself in alcohol together you have this book. Their journey is one you will easily get lost into and grow to love. Emma has sass and no filter which is hilarious. Joe is Hot and is enamored with Emma. She tries her best to bring him out of his darkness but can she do it without her secret putting him back in? A must read book in my opinion.

Where oh where do I start with this one? For starters this is the first book I have read by Sarah Grimm and to say I am hooked is an understatement. I am still trying to process this one to be honest. I found it to really well written, an emotional roller coaster ride. It takes a lot for a book to emotionally exhaust me and this one definitely did it. It is a book that I loved so much that i had to put it down every so often because I didn't want to believe what the end result was going to be. I got so sucked in and emotionally invested that my heart hurts at the moment.

Joe Campbell, lead singer and front man for Blind Man's Alibi, literally has it all. More money than he could ever imagine spending, women who throw themselves at him and he gets to travel the world. But, he has lost the spark that got him started, the light has gone out and he doesn't know how to find himself again, that is until one night he sees her, standing front and center at his latest concert and the overwhelming peace she brings to him has Joe bringing her backstage so that he can meet her. When Emma doesn't fall for his one liners and drop dead gorgeous looks like all the other women do, Joe realizes that he has met his match and he wants nothing more than to spend time with her and get to know her on a more intimate level. What he never expected was for Emma to calm his demons and bring the old Joe back to the surface.

Emma Travers has made the decision to live life to the fullest. When a chance meeting after a rock concert has her in lead singer Joe Campbell's dressing room after the Blind Man's Alibi concert, she is tongue tied. But it doesn't take long for her sharp tongue, filled with one liners and witty comebacks to make an appearance. What she sees in Joe is a man filled with sadness and loneliness and they make a connection on some deeper level. For one it isn't all about getting in her pants, although Joe tries. Emma decides to show Joe that there is more to life than burying yourself in a bottle and meaningless sex night after night. But Emma carries a secret, one that she is so afraid to let Joe know about, can she find the strength to help heal him without loosing him at the same time. Can she find the strength to be truthful and show Joe that he has so much more to offer to others in his life?

Go grab your copy of Wrecked and take the roller coaster ride of emotions. Get sucked into the rock star life of Joe Campbell and Blind Man's Alibi and the amazing, giving, loving, selfless character that Emma is. I never wanted this one to end. I was sucked in from page one and have to say the title fits how I currently feel...Wrecked...

I have to start out by saying this book is amazing! It made me laugh, it made me angry, it made me cry.
Joe Campbell is the lead singer in a band named The Blind Alibi. He has it all, he's handsome, he's rich, and lives the life of a rock star. He could have any woman he wants, at any time, and has had many women, but only for a few hours, none have ever held his heart.
Until one night he noticed a pretty blonde in the audience, the pull to her was so strong, that he forgot the words to the song he was singing, and she had to feed him the lines. He told his friend and body guard to get her to go to his dressing room after the concert.
I won't go any further in the book, because to do so would be ruining it for other readers. This book is more than just a good book to read, it is an experience. It's not your typical rocks star meets groupie kind of book, it has so much more to offer to anyone looking to read a different kind of book. It's one you will cherish, and it will make you think for a long time to come.
Let me leave you with my favorite quote from the book, because it does apply to all of us, and I hope it peaks your interest enough to buy this book and enjoy it as much as I did.
"Life is beautiful, but no one gets out alive. So live each day as if it's your last. Walk in the sunshine. Dance beneath the stars. Laugh hard and long and never, ever forget how special you are."
Ms. Grimm is a special author, and I hope you do look at her other books as well. Happy reading.

Wrecked by Sarah Grimm is suitably named heartbreaking last chance at life & love romance. Emma Travers is beautiful, young and has everything she could ever want even with a painful upbringing. When she receives a horrible diagnosis she decides to live life the fullest and that includes rocking out front row at Blind Man’s Alibi tour stop in her town. Joe Campbell has it all - fame, women at every stop and all the money anyone could want so why is it he feels so alone? When Joe lays eyes on Emma he's struck without words and has to know who is his ray of sunshine in his dark world. Can Emma pull Joe from a routine of meaningless relationships and people who are using him? Is Joe strong enough of a man for Emma and what she needs?

I'm writing this review a few days after finishing the book, which I normally don't do but man this one hurt. I haven't ugly cried this hard since Sloth by Ella James. It took a while to get into the story but like a beautiful flower as it opens you see the layers and man the layers in this one will stick with you. Emma's journal entries are heart breaking insight into her inner thoughts and to the live of a young lady who only wanted to live in the moment and happened to fall in love. I highly recommend Wrecked by Sarah Grimm which I'm awarding 5 Stars! I can't wait for the next chapter in this series to see how it unfolds.

This book literally wrecked me emotionally!

Joe Campbell is the lead singer of Blind Man's Alibi, like any rock god he has it all, fame, money, women, but the one thing Joe no longer has is his light. That internal little flame that we all have inside of us that is fragile and easily snuffed out if not cared for.

Emma Travers is front row center for the Blind Man's Alibi concert and she catches Joe's eye. When he meets her though she is unlike anyone he has ever known. Emma doesn't fall his lines, she is witty, smart and she sees what others don't in Joe, loneliness, and sadness.

Emma brings the "sunshine" into Joe's life and she calms the storms that rage inside him. But Emma has a secret that she isn't sure she can share with Joe for fear of losing him.

All I can say is this, if you are looking for the miracle HEA with champagne and roses at the end, you are looking in the wrong place. But if you are looking for a truly beautiful read about life's struggles and hope and a love that will span forever, then this book is for you.

You are going to need tissues, a lot of them, saying you will cry is a gross understatement. But it is so worth it!

Emotionally wrung out, that is the only description I can possible give you for the way I felt as I read the last few words of this book, I think other may have already said it and if they haven’t then I am sure they will in reviews to follow but if ever there was a more apt title for a story then I am yet to find it because this book will wreck you!
Blind Man’s Alibi is the band but Joe Campbell is the main man and it is not a title he wears comfortably. Because like many that have stood in the limelight, Joe has an army of demons to keep him company. To the hoards that swoon over his sexy as sin looks, he is in a place that he neither or his band need him to be.
Emma is at his concert with a friend when Joe sees her in the front row, but can either of them face the darkness that they fight so hard to keep tempered, Emma has as much luggage holding her down as Joe but can they save each other or are the shadows just too much for them to shake off?
Can Emma, see past her impending situation and show this beautiful man that life is worth living and that he has to make the most of every moment?
Emma’s story was devastating, I was snivelling as it unfolded but I smiled at her attitude and her determination to live with what other may have buckled under.
The author has written what I can only describe as a must read novel, one that at its heart is about unconditional love, of learning that fate is often a better judge of what you actually need in your life than you are and that when you find the one person that your heart and soul belongs too, you never let them go no matter what, when you heart finds its happy place, you might as well hang up your gloves because there is no point fighting it…you’re a** is whipped!
A beautifully worked and emotionally devastating story that left a crater in my soul and a pile of disregarded tissues at my feet, tears flowed freely throughout but I would not hesitate to state that this is one of the most emotional books I have read in years.

Don't let the 1 star bother you too much - its a personal preference...... Don't get me wrong, the story was excellent and the writing well done.....I just didn't get my HEA....this was way too "A Walk to Remember" for me and it just doesn't work for me as an ending....I don't like to cry when reading my romances.

5 stars – a beautiful but heartbreaking read.

I had to wait 24 hrs to write my review because I found it so hard to put into words how this made me feel. I knew from the start that this was potentially going to break me and it did. I finished this book consumed with emotion and tears rolling down my face at the heartbreaking but inevitable end to this truly wonderful love story

Emma is beautiful both inside and out and having been given only months to live, she has decided not to sit back and let her illness consume her but to go out and live her life to the fullest. She is at a Blind Man’s Alibi concert when lead singer Joe sees her in the front row of the audience. She renders him speechless, this girl ignites something in him and he’s drawn to her.

Joe sees Emma as the light in the darkness of his life, his ray of sunshine. Finding his only comfort in the bottom of a bottle of whisky and endless one night hook ups, Emma comes into his life when he actually needs her the most.

I loved Emma. She has absolutely no filter and said what came into her head and doesn’t fall for any of Joe’s smooth lines. Joe finds her directness refreshing, she pulls him out of the dark place he is in and proves to him that life is a gift and not something to be taken for granted and that he doesn’t really need to be where she found him.

This was the story of two people drawn together at a time when they both desperately needed each other. Two soul mates who found their forever person and I found myself secretly hoping at times that there story would end differently. This book was so beautifully written and in my opinion a must read although have your tissues at the ready because you will need them

If you ever want to be completely wrecked and love it, READ. THIS. BOOK! This book will absolutely ruin you and you will love it! This book … sigh… I don’t know how I survived. I’ve cried myself to sleep, I’ve sat in my office crying and couldn’t verbalize why!

I have to admit (and I’m almost embarrassed to do so…) this story completely broke me. I try not to cry, but I just couldn’t help it. While this is a beautiful, heart-felt love story, it’s also tragic. Emma Travers, so full of life but dealt a bad hand in life. Joe Campbell, quite possibly the hottest man (EVER!) and lead vocalist of rock band, Blind Man’s Alibi… has everything, but is fighting some demons. Emma is the “Sunshine” to his darkness. She is living in the moment and while it’s heartbreaking, it’s also breathtaking! She says the first thing that comes to mind and has a beautiful soul. She is truly what Joe needs.

I hate that I cried, but I. LOVED. THAT. I. CRIED! Emma is the epitome of the quote from Braveheart “Every man dies, but not every man really lives.” I’ve learn that I need to try to live in the moment and be myself. I have to say if I ever met Ms. Grimm I would have to tell her that I hate what she has done to me! I just finish reading the book and I feel like I need to re-read it. If Sarah Grimm decided to rewrite the dictionary, I’d read it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!

(I know there’s a “wrecking ball” joke here somewhere… fighting the urge!)

Wrecked is probably the most accurate title for this book as I was so emotionally wrecked at the end of this book with tears pouring down my face. Yes, I said pouring.

I love Emma. Her character is strong and feisty and due to her illness she is trying to live the last of her life with no regrets. Yet, she also doesn't want to watch Joe surround himself with the wrong people or watch him get used. She does her best to support him but knows it will be his own strength at the end that has to get him through.

I did really like Joe and found him humorous and also so unsure. He was tired of life on the road and touring but really had no alternatives for himself. He allowed himself to be managed by others until meeting Emma, where he realized what was truly important to him.

I also loved Emma's best friend Alison. Her friendship and devotion to Emma was so important and I loved that Emma was able to give back to her, even though in the end she knew what it also symbolized.

This book was about living life and the ability to love purely. Like I said, I poured tears at the end and I truly can't wait for the next book in the series!!

Reviewing for Book Boyfriend Heaven

So Wrecked by Sarah Grimm is the first book I have read from this author and let me just tell you the book’s title matches what it will do to your emotions. I was so wrecked and ugly crying by the end of Emma and Joe’s story the way that the book ends does leave it open for another book and I truly hope that she does write another to this group of characters that I have just fell in love with. I loved Emma and how she was so bright and tried to be so strong and not let anyone know what was going on with her. She kind of went from this scared girl to a wonderful woman who pulled Joe from a darkness he fell into but also showed him that he didn’t want to be where he was when he found her. Joe transformed so much in this book he started off as such a cocky ass that I wasn’t sure if I was going to like him or not but as his and Emma’s relationship grew so did he I can’t believe how strong he was at the end when he but what Emma wanted over what he wanted.

When you find out your life is on a timer so to speak what do you do? Emma has decided to live everyday as if it were her last, since that could very well be the case. One of the things she wants to cross of her bucket list is meeting her favorite band Blind Man’s Alibi. When Emma’s wish comes true she is not the only one who gets more than she bargained for. Joe is floored when he looks into the crowd and sees what can only be angel in the first row. This woman shines like a beacon of hope in his dark world and he must get to know her. Joe is not prepared for Emma in anyway. Emma and Joe have a bond that no one can dispute. Both have secrets but some are more devastating than others. IS the chance for love, even if just for a moment, worth the heartache that will follow when it is gone? This book cannot be surmised in a review. It is breath taking, heartwarming and heart breaking all in one. Get your tissue boxes ready and prepare for a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Wow.
Sarah did an amazing job on this book! I think its one that will always have a place as one of my favorite books.
Joe the hot rock star and Emma the regular girl. You would think that they live in two different worlds and some how they make perfect since.
Its so hard for me to think of words to describe this book because I don't want to fill this review up with spoilers and Im emotionally wrecked after just finishing the book.
This book is filled with emotions. Love, hate, anger, happiness and they just jump off the page. I couldn't help but go on an emotional journey right along with the characters.
I loved getting to know some of the secondary characters and look forward to more books in the series so I can continue to follow on their journey.
