**This is a fun Standalone MC Romance with no cliffhangers**

It is also Samantha Leal's first 20,0000 word Forsaken Riders MC Bad Boy biker story...She has gotten a lot of positive feedback on her "What the Outlaw..." series...the most common being that people wanted more...so this is the first in a series of standalone stories all set in the little town of Slate Springs...

The small town of Slate Springs is hiding a wild and lawless secret... At the center of its quiet society is a ruthless motorcycle club, The Forsaken Riders. They are everything the straight laced town is not…wild, dangerous, full of themselves … and sexy as hell.
Feisty Lexi has always had a wild side, so when she is fired from her job at the only strip club in town, she knows working a 9-5 isn't going to be for her – but she doesn’t know what else she can do. Having to deal with a creep of an ex-boss and her overbearing mother, she is desperate to get out on her own and make a new start, but it seems everything she tries just gets her more and more stuck.
Just when Lexi thought her bad luck was there to stay, she meets King, one of the dark and sexy bikers from the secretive Forsaken Riders. King is everything she had spent most of her adult life trying to stay away from. He’s the epitomy of the outlaw your mother warned you about…and she can’t get enough of him. As much as she tries to resist him, their connection is undeniable from the second they lock eyes.
Lexi has spent her whole life trying to hide from men like him. Truth is they always scared her…but now she realizes how alive she feels in his arms and with the bikers. So far she has kept on the right side of town and managed to avoid being caught up in their lawless games... But now that she knows King, how will she ever be able to stay away as the lines between right and wrong begin to blur?
With each passing moment she is getting in deep and falling faster and harder for her hot new man. But will a family secret destroy everything? Or will Lexi find out her own past is more entwined with King's than she ever could have dreamed of?

I am just your ordinary stay at home mum...so just so happens to love writing hot tales of alpha males and the ladies that love...or at least lust after them. I live in the countryside in a far away magical place...but spend some time across the pond in the Big Apple too! I hope you love my shifter tales...and/or some of my biker tales too! Lately shifters have taken my fancy though...! Thanks so much for stopping by ; )

Great Start. Flat ending

4 Star Kindle Unlimited Short Read
King is the first book in the Forsaken Riders MC. It had such a strong start and middle. The ending was so rushed that it just fell flat. This is the reason for 4 Stars and not 5 Stars. This short has massive potential to be developed into a full length novel that MC readers will enjoy. However, it's a good start for a series shorts as the ending can be built on as the shorts continue. I can't wait to read more.

King was everything women look for in the book boyfriend world. Handsome, sexy, strong, alpha, with a sweet side to him. Lexi is a good female lead, I like she was trying to make something of herself, and why. Light drama, light action, sexy, and over all nice start of to a "new to me mc"

Pretty good!

I chose this rating because this was an okay book. The characters were pretty nice and amazing. I think Lexi had a crazy mom who is trying to control her life. I think it not very nice of Alexis mom not to tell her who her father was. Even if he did belong to a bikers club. But I'm glad she met King. He was able to help her locate her father which wasn't very hard because he was very near. I'm glad hurricane got together as well. This was an okay book I really enjoyed

The 2nd book in the series Lynx was within a bonus.
Lynx was a mysterious character himself. He had a lot of demons going on, he spent some time in jail for a crime but he didn't commit in order to help someone else out. So that they wouldn't go to prison. Somehow his sweet lady Tammy found out about it Lexi's friend. She was upset but she got over it. They talked it out and everything was alright . This was a pretty great read.

This was short read and if you like reading about MC then this is a story for you. You get to see the sparks fly between our two main characters Lexi and King. This story will draw you in with suspense of what is happening. The emotions are all over the place and having to deal with them can keep things hanging. Recommend this book

I felt the build up from Lexi before she met King was slow. Once she and King meet it is an insta love thing which I do not mind at all. I'm left wondering about her revelation that her mother shared with her. Did he pull through or what? I'm sure I'll read the rest because thats my weakness finishing a series but I might pause a read a few other books first.

So up until the last chapter this book was 3 Stars but with the addition of Reid I had to give an extra star.

I expected to hear from King since he is the title character of the book but the whole book was from Lexi’s POV. That was disappointing.

Quick cute read. Worth reading the next book.

Def not Shifter this time !

An interesting start to this series of Forsaken Riders novella.
I have read many of Ms Leal's other genre works & enjoyed them. These novella works, due to the length restrictions obviously have to be fairly streamlined. This accomplished with minimum of fuss and lots of trust and instalove.

Wow.... just wow! I loved this. Lexi at twenty-two is mature. She meets King and her live is never the same. Lexi grew up without a father. But her mother was withholding a grave secret from her. Good thing Lexi found out before it was too late. I loved it.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Easy-to-read
Page-turner
Romantic
Wonderful characters
Unpredictable

This was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me... it felt like there was a story to be told but it didn’t quite get told... the premise was good and the characters were ok but the rest was choppy like it was thoughts not a full complete concept...

2.5 stars

Not better than the prequel. But these are so short and easy to read I may keep going. Lexi is pretty annoying. I also don't need to read about people smoking constantly. It is just gross to me to have to think about kissing someone smoking. Like licking an ashtray.

It was a good beginning but I feel like there could have been so much more to their story. I'm not sure if it builds up to more or not. But I'll give the next one a try. Overall, a pretty hot and interesting book. It just needs a little more.

Pleasantly surprised

It was not what I was expecting. In a good way. Not your typical biker book. What little I know of characters I liked.

This is definitely a fast past, gritty novella, with characters from the seamy and steamy side of life. However, it pulled me right in.

I'm not used to reading about bikers because they're not usually my thing and they're not Shifters, but I really enjoyed this book. King had a heart and when he found his love with Lexi it was dynamite. There were a few surprising twists, which were clever, so I also went ahead to read about, Steel, Lynx, and Gunner. Very interesting characters, although I do wish that there was at least one of them that was strong enough to not have to smoke. That's so weak, and seems typical for bikers, but that's just me. :) Still a fascinating read and well told.

3 Stars for King. King is a Novella about 11 chapters. This is book one of Leal's Forsaken Riders. I feel it is too short I wish we could have gotten a few more chapters of seeing Lexi and King together. Their relationship seemed rushed. They meet , talked , sexy time between the sheets and then bam she is his "old lady". The ending didnt seem final. I am going to read Lynx and the rest of the series because I liked all the character's. I just wished these Novella's were a little bit longer . Happy Reading
