When she was eighteen, Piper’s obsessed boyfriend murdered her family right in front of her. She went into police protection, but his family’s wealth made it easy for him to track her down. Desperate and alone, she turned to her step-brother for help. He just happened to be president of a motorcycle club.

Eight years later, the club is patched into a larger club, the White Death MC, and when Piper meets its president, Kix Rockwood, she knows he’s a force to be reckoned with. Kix wants her, but he has no idea about the danger that lurks for her if she leaves the club. Because no matter how long it’s been, someone blames Piper for what happened and wants revenge for the past.

I began reading my mom’s Harlequin Presents in the fifth grade, and from the first story I knew I wanted to write romance novels.

I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate high rollers. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.

I’ve been pretty fortunate in life to experience some amazing things. I’ve lived in France, traveled throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

I am a mom to an amazing boy. I live in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends and family.
I hate washing dishes but I love cooking. I hate washing clothes but I love wearing them.

Writing my bio is difficult because I never know what to say so I hope you like this one. My favorite color is red but I look best in black (it’s slimming). I hate people who don't pick up their dog's crap in public places, people who don’t use turn signals, and I really hate people who are rude and condescending. I especially hate discrimination in all and every form. And although I love holding a book in my hand, I absolutely adore my e-reader, whom I’ve named Ruby. So many books at the touch of a button!

Also, Elizabeth Monvey is my pseudonym for writing steamy MM romance. LOVE is LOVE!

May Contain Spoilers!!

3.25 stars. So I enjoyed this one more than I thought! I liked both heroine and hero! The plot wasn't too bad it was ok. I would of loved to see more of a connection but it was a short read.I loved that there was no other women drama. No mention really of his past. We just know when he was younger he got around a bit . but for some time now he's done with all the random screwing. he wants more. So he is not a manwhore:) heroine was a virgin which didn't bother me . there is her ex in the beginning that is stalking her but that's the only OM drama. He did try to rape her before(didn't get far and this was when they were dating). He is a crazy son of a bitch! Hero and heroine didnt use condoms. He actually forgets.lol he says she is the first he had never gone without since he lost his virginity age 14. He is close to forty. She is 26. For a biker book this was really tame. No real violence and we don't see alot of screwing around with the brothers and house whores.lol Still I felt something was missing towards the end. I would of liked a better epilogue with them. I would say this is a pretty safe read.

I've read this one a while ago. Unbroken is one of the few MC books that don't have the club life style thrown in your face. By that I mean that there is no OW drama (no exes show up), in fact the heroine was even best friends with some of them, since she's been a part of her broters club for years. Also, there is no gang rivalry, no heavy details on (illegal) club businnes and even no kidnappings. Who'd have thought. :)

I did enjoy this story but at the end I still felt like there was something missing. But maybe that's just me, who knows. Loved that the hero knew from the start what and who he wanted and went for it. Also, a heroine who knows how to make her own decisions is always a good thing in my opinion.

All in all, a great read. :)

Safety-gang: Safe with some OM drama.

I love reading MC romance but I get so tried of all the club whore drama which is why I'm so glad I discovered this little gem. If it were a little longer and had a better epilogue that actually featured Piper and Kix it would have been a 4 star read for me. Overall though I really liked this one!

This was a very fast read...one of those books that just keeps on moving and keeps you involved with the story and the characters. I have to say I was at first not sure how I would feel about this story since it is another one of many biker books where a rich guy is stalking a young woman and she is forced to run away to either her father or brother's club for protection...but after getting past that issue, I really appreciated that the characters behaved in a more mature way and kept things real.
When Piper reaches out to her step-brother for help, he doesn't throw her into a bad situation nor does she get treated like a club whore (good so far) and when Kix arrives on the scene to merge the clubs, he turns out to be a bigger/better man than how he could have been written.
Piper is surprisingly strong and fearless when it comes to Kix and the author didn't milk the whole "poor damaged girl" thing which gets annoying when you've read it too many times.
A short novella with a few predictable moments but well written and a pretty entertaining plot that left me wanting more...wish it had been longer with a bit more details.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

This book is only 99 pages long and I really wish it had been longer but what's there is good.
Pipers whole life changes when she starts dating the wrong guy, and while he may be handsome and rich he's also seriously deranged and becomes obsessed with her even after she's broken it off he can't take no for an answer, he murders her entire family without batting an eye.
Even police protection doesn't help and she's no idea where to turn until she remembers her estranged step-brother.
I really enjoyed this, yes it's far-fetched and far too short but I really liked the characters particularly Kix and Piper, the story and in case you're wondering yes it's hot as well.
So it ticks all the boxes and whilst the next book sounds very similar to this one I'll be giving it a try when it's released.

I loved the plot of this book, but I felt like the book was too short for it! I would have liked more build up to both the plot and the characters' relationship. Overall a quick and fun read.

Family Protection

This was a quick MC read that told the story of a young woman being stalked and then witnessing the brutal murder of those close to her. She ran into hiding with her step-brother Wick who was a member of the Forgotten Rebels MC and was determined to keep her safe behind the club’s walls.

She lived a secluded life and stayed to herself but when the club was going to patch over with White Death MC things were about to change for her especially with their club Prez, Kix, taking notice of her.

I was hooked on this book all the way through and have to say I’d look forward to reading more from this author.

This is the first book in the Forgotten Rebels MC series by Beth D. Carter. When Piper was a teenager she started dating Tyler, who was from a very wealthy family. Tyler soon became obsessed with her and didn't take to kindly to her breaking up with him. Piper had to get a restraining order against him and even changed schools. Piper felt horrible that she had to involve her mother and her stepfather, Michael. She had a ten year old half brother named Casey and an older step-brother named Chadwick who she only met once at the wedding of their parents. One night Tyler came into her home with a gun and tried to kidnap her when the rest of the house woke up he killed her mom, stepdad, and little brother in front of her. She was placed in protective custody but even the armed police woman couldn't keep Tyler away luckily Piper escaped before he got to her. She ran to the only person who could protect her, her stepbrother, Wick, the President of the Forgotten Rebels MC. Wick was devastated to find out his father and little brother were brutally murdered but he promised Piper he would keep her safe. FAST FORWARD 8 YEARS : Piper is now 26 years old and known as Sissy to all the club members who have become like brothers to her. The Rebels are getting ready for a party because the President of the White Death MC, Kix Rockwood is coming to their clubhouse so he and Wick can forge an alliance between their two clubs. Piper tries to keep a low profile but she ends up catching the attention of Kix who wants to find out what put the sadness in her eyes. Will Piper be able to ever trust another man again ? Will she come to realize that it's not her fault her family is dead ?

Great story. Wish there was an epilogue with Piper and Kix. Om drama in the form of an ex, tried to rape the h. Not really descriptive. Don't have to read about either being with others.

Book 1 in the Forgotten Rebels MC series

After the first few lines in this book I was not expecting to like it. I don't normally like books that are set when the character is at school, but I have never not finished a book, so I read on.
And on, until it was finished. It ended up being a late night for me.I just couldn't put it down.
It's not set in a school setting but the story has to be told from there. It is there that Piper first finds out that there is no where for her to hide from an old boyfriend that does not understand the meaning of the word NO. No one can protect her - her mum, step dad, the police or the protection order she has against him. Her step brother is the only one who can keep her safe. Her welcome into the Forgotten Rebels MC gives her the chance to heal and find a kind of peace.
Does she really deserve to be happy in life? Everyone thinks so but her. Life is about to test her all over again. Will she continue to fight for the life she wants? You'll just have to read it to see.

The only reason this did not get 5 stars, is that every so often(not a lot) there was a silliness that just seemed out of place. Just a little bit of too young for what the character was portraying.

I liked the book. The beginning drags you right in and you get whipped into the simple life of a MC. Piper was a decent girl. The MC was not gritty or crude as some. I'll call it "light beer". Looking forward to Abbott.

quick read with a bit of suspense and heat. I don't want to spoil the storyline by giving it away but biker readers will enjoy it. The story was good and there is some build up for future books in the series.

It was ok. Instant love with a biker President. I found it ridiculous how a guy killed the heroine's entire family, she came looking to hide, and NO ONE KEPT TABS ON THE MURDERER. They knew the guy's name, and no one bothered to check up on him. Stupidity.

I like to read a wide variety of genres and MC romances are one of my guilty pleasures. I went into this one a little apprehensively when I saw how short it was. I shouldn't have worried because this author managed to write a solid story in less than one-hundred pages. So much so that I look forward to reading more in this series.

Piper has lived through life altering trauma when a former boyfriend murdered her family in front of her. After hiding out with her step-brother and his motorcycle club for eight years, she may have finally met someone that she can open her heart to. The problem is that Piper still carries guilt over her the loss of her family and the responsibility she feels for it. Basically, she doesn't believe she deserves to live a full life.

Kix is the president of a larger motorcycle club that Piper's stepbrother's club has just affiliated with. He's always been happy on his own with random women here and there but lately he's had no interest. Then he meets Piper and everything changes. He finds that he can't get her out of his mind. But she carries a sadness about her and he's determined to know who or what caused it. Then he's determined to make her his.

This was a fun and quick read that satisfied my need for a little motorcycle club escapism. In addition, there's some good setup for the next book so I'll definitely be checking it out.

Thanks to NetGalley for this complimentary reader's copy. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

WOW!!
I really enjoyed this book. Though there's no laughter there sure is alot of Smokin Hot Sex and some pretty intense suspense. Kix was walking sex on a stick and for a supposed bad ass biker he had a truly affectionate side which made me love him even more. And he goes after what he wants with full force and what he wants is Piper. He's to the point in his life he's looking for "the one" and he knows it's Piper. Piper is running from a terribly horrifying past. My heart broke in two for her and had me crying all over my Nook. Her, well, I wouldn't even call him her ex boyfriend Tyler Stratford because they'd only gone out a couple of times and he became this psycho stalker who wouldn't take no for an answer and wouldn't give up. He wanted to own Piper and when he got so desperate he couldn't take it anymore he tried to take her by force and he took something from her that night that can never be replaced. This story is short and sweet but a whole lotta sexy with some major suspense and is both heartbreaking and heart warming. I highly recommend this book to everyone. My only complaint is it left me wanting more. Lol.

I'm giving this four stars, but to be clear it's because I knew going in it was a novella and my expectations were set accordingly. I wasn't sure what to expect with this once since it's an older release that popped up on NetGalley so I decided to ARC it since it's not available in Kindle Unlimited and it's priced way more than I would ever pay for a book under 100 pages, and the blurb very much intrigued me.

I definitely enjoyed this one - you have to be a fan of insta-love and mc romances, but if you do like either than this is a nice, quick enjoyable read. There were some funny word choices here and a funny use of "one per center" instead of "one percenter" which are entirely different things with different meanings and left me with a good laugh. That being said, I loved the angst you feel when reading this and the chemistry between Piper and Kix. I'd definitely be up for trying another one of her books, but only if priced appropriately, but from what I can see most of her books are overprices for their length, which is a huge bummer.

Piper never realized when she started dating Tyler it would start a chain of events that would end up with her parents and brother dead. When the police officer guarding her is dead she has no option but to go to Chadwick for protection. She had not seen her stepbrother in years, he is Pres of the Forgotten Rebels MC. The brothers all voted and vowed to protect her.

Years go by and the night terrors have stopped when the guys vote to become part of a larger club the White Death MC. This is really the first time outsiders have come into the club, their Pres Kix takes one look at Piper and he is ready to claim her.

Kix may just be the man to protect her, all she wants is freedom, freedom to come and go as she wants. It would not be a MC book without the road being bumpy. This is my first book by the author and looking to read more.

This is the first book I've read from this author and I absolutely enjoyed this story. It was about Piper who had a crazy and murderous ex-boyfriend who had killed her family and tried to kill her. She escaped and went to her brother, Wick, who was part of a motorcycle club. She was there for years when she finally met Kix. Kix kept trying to give Piper attention even though she kept pushing him away because she was still scared of her ex. Eventually they got closer and one day she got put in the hospital again and the whole MC was forced to find out what happened, who it was, and try to protect her. This story was steamy, had a really good story line, and wonderful characters. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Unbroken
4 Star

I really enjoyed this novella and ended up reading it all in one setting. This is a quick read. When Piper's life fractures, she has nowhere to turn except to her step-brother and his motorcycle club. She has to give up her past, and her future is forever changed.

Piper has suffered survival guilt for so long, she doesn't feel she deserves a HEA. Good thing Kix is persistent and strong enough to shoulder some of her pain.

Piper and Kix have good chemistry and a balanced relationship. I'm not a huge fan of insta-love situations, but it works OK here. My only complaint is that it’s too short. A few more pages to wrap everything up.  I wanted to see Piper and Kix settled into their relationship. Thank you, NetGalley and Evernight Publishing, for providing me with a digital ARC for an honest review.

3 stars!
The first book in the Forgotten Rebels series, had a great storyline, intriguing characters, but needed more punch. The story revolves around Piper, who establishes a relationship with her long-lost stepbrother, who happens to the the President (I think) of Forgotten Rebels. I don’t want to give any spoilers on the storyline but I really liked the idea of it.
Things it lacked: not enough detail about what the characters looked like. It’s hard to connect fully with a character if you have no idea what they look like. The beginning of the story was pretty cheesy..I almost stopped reading it…but keep plugging along! The smut was good and very descriptive…if the rest if the story was as descriptive, we would have had a helluva book!
Good start in series, not great.

3 stars - Too much telling, not enough showing

Even though the book wasn't bad, it wasn't good either. The characters, except of Piper, were NOT believable enough...

The whole book was about Piper going to her brother for protection, her brother not doing anything except hiding her inside his compound, her catching the eye of another motorcycle club president -
Kix, a bit of instalove, Kix thinking about Piper, and in the end Piper dealing with her problems all alone.

In my opinion she was not living with a bunch of bikers, but a bunch of sissies. Which brings me to her nickname that the bikers gave her... I mean, really?

At 18 Pipers life changed in a blink of an eye, she was put into witness protection but that couldn't stop her ex Tyler from getting to her, heading to her stepbrothers MC she felt safe, years later when they patched over, the new pres Kix is drawn to Piper aka Sissy, but can she open her heart to another when danger still lurks? Will news bring more confinement or a freedom she never though possible? Well written engaging story, the characters draw you in and the story flows well throughout. With steamy hot scenes, violence, and more.

I'd probably give this 3.5 stars actually, it deserves more than the books I give 3 stars too but I wouldn't re-read it like I do with most of my 4 starred books.
It's nice to read a motorcycle club book with a devoted hero and likeable 'club sluts' or whatever you want to call them. I wish we had gotten to know more club members and everything it been more in depth but considering it wasn't a particularly long book then it was enjoyable enough to pass some time.

Mc books that are safe as so rare that I pretty much just take what I can get.

This is a remarkable story! Piper has endured so much pain in her life almost raped by her boyfriend whom she immediately broke up with. Becoming an abusive stalker he followed her everywhere and one night did the unthinkable. Now on the run Piper went to the only person who could help her Wick her stepbrother. Giving up everything in her previous life she embraced the lifestyle of the bikers. Will it be enough to keep her safe or will fate toss her another death blow?

This was a very action packed emotional story that has Piper needing help from her Step who is head of a MC but when that MC comes together with another club can she still stay hidden from the person seeking revenge or will the MC prez of that chapter help her end it once and for all.

This was an emotional story. The heroine experiences so much loss at such a young age I really admired the woman she grew into. I loved the way the hero “saw” her and didn’t hesitate. My only wish is that we got more of their story together.
