It was a pretty good story considering how short this Novella is. Jake is making what could potentially be the end for him...going undercover in an MC not his own. The Back Down Devils need intel on what Rusted Devil MC is up to. Meeting Keira is a bonus but she is the sister of the VP.
What Jake discovers is two members of the MC are in the pockets of the Cartel. Now he could die without warning.

How can you not fall for badass biker Jake? He has it all; body, muscles, loyalty, body, sex appeal, body, and heart. When an author can write so well that you can come up with a lot of descriptions for one person (and yes, I know I said body a number of times) you have no choice but to fall in love with the story. Those bikers over at Back Down Devil just keep getting better and better.
Jake is sent on an undercover mission that may very well cost him his life but Jake will do anything for the club he loves. The Devils have to know if a rival MC is looking to come into their territory and the only way to know for sure is to send Jake in undercover to see what is actually happening over at the Rusted Devils MC. The Rusted Devils have fallen on some tough times dealing with the cartel in their terriroty and have been losing a lot of men because of it. They are actually fighting just to survive. They need cash in order to fight back and the only way to get that kind of money is to send someone in to the famed “snake pit” which is an in ground fighting ring where winner takes all. Lucky Jake just happens to come along at the right time for them because they see how well Jake can fight first hand.
Kiera happens to be the stepsister to the Rusted Devils MC VP, Kami, and he is there to protect her from the bad guys which she is surrounded by. Kiera knows that it is because of Kami that the other bikers know that there is a hands off policy as far as she is concerned. Kiera happens to be working the biker bar when Jake shows up and she is the one who comes to his aid in the bathroom to help clean up his cuts and other things he needs taken care of. But here’s the kicker; Jake doesn’t take full advantage of Kiera because there is just something about her that has thrown him off a little bit. Of course when Kiera takes off for home instead of staying with the MC for her protection Kami turns to Jake to go check up on her to make sure she is safe. Is Jake really her savior or just there to make inroads with the Rusted Devils?
I have to say that there are a lot of emotions/feelings that you get from this book because it is so well written. You are held at the end of your seat a few times just waiting to see if Jake will be found out and will he survive the snake pit. The road that you are taken on watching the Jake and Kiera romance take place gets pretty steamy at times and there are also times that make your heart melt a little. You have to read this to see if the Rusted Devils are able to survive the cartel even with the help from Jake or if the Rusted Devils will find out Jake’s true identity and take him out themselves. Do Jake and Kiera really stand a chance being from two rival MC’s especially with her stepbrother being a VP? This is another of the Back Down Devils MC books that you will be able to read in one sitting because you won’t be able to put it down just to see if Jake can pull himself out of this mission with both his body and heart intact.
A little inside joke once you read the book…don’t ever wear a bandana if Blaine has been around it!

another homerun for the team! the live of a biker isn't easy. when you live outside of the law, have your own rules to live by. their world is dark, hard, ruthless and deadly, very deadly.
the members of BDD aren't panicking but what they don't like is another crew in their territory creating mayhem. to find out what is going on jake volunteers to go undercover. it's a hard choice for him to make because it means laying down his cut, something he wears with pride. but they have to find out what is going and put a stop to it.
word is out the other MC is looking for a fighter to join their ranks, and that is just jack's specialty! he isn't scared of dying so he always goes all in.
when he gets through the initiating from the rusted devil mc he knows two things. one : the club is as good as dead if they don't pull their shït together and two, the beauty behind the bar might just be the thing he needs to take care of his wounds.
the attraction he feels for her is beyond anything he felt before and he's not resisting it either because she seems more the willing enough to go along for a quick hard ride on his rod.
once in, he has to stay low key and has to find out what is happening. who is involved, who isn't. there are quite a few moments that he though his cover would be blown, he would be in serious trouble if that happened. will he succeed to do what his mc asked him to do or will everything fall apart? what about the girl? the touches parts of him no woman ever has. can he leave her behind? how will she react once she learns the truth?
this one drama filled, action packed, steamy story that just goes on to get better and better as you keep on reading! i had a hard time putting down the book as there were certain people saying they were getting hungry (how hard is it to make a sandwich jeesh, right?) i just had to finish this and know how jack turned out! loved it, loved, loved!

Incredible! Outstanding! Phenomenal! I could use all of these words for this book. Oh look, I did. Sorry, my bad.
Let’s start this with a small synopsis. Jake is a member of the Back Down Devil MC. A MC that is having some trouble with the local law. Recently, a rival MC, the Rusted Devil MC has been hassling some people in their area, and the BDDs want to know why. So Jake goes undercover into the rival MC when it is discovered that they are looking for new members, some one that knows how to fight. The problem with that is, if discovered, they will kill Jake, and NOT nicely. Keira works around the biker bar the Rusted Devil MC hang out in. She is also Kami’s stepsister. Kami is the VP of the Rusted Devil’s, and very protective of Keira. Keira loses her breath the first time she sees Jake. The same thing and more could be said for Jake. She was the sexiest thing he as seen in a long time. Not good, so not good for Jake. He was there to do a job, not good!
Now, if you want to find out what happens, you will to read the book. I really love the way the author writes about her characters in her MC world. She makes you love them, even though they really are not “good” guys.
I have been reading Karolyn James’s books for a while now, and until a few months ago I did not realize that she also wrote under other names as well, London Casey being one of them. I had not previously gotten into the MC genre of romance, and I am not sure I would have if not for Karolyn James. I absolutely LOVE her writing.
I had been given an ARC of this book for an honest review. However, before I was even finished I purchased it as well. I wanted to show my support of this book every way I can. It is a winner!! Kudos Ms. James/Casey.

Broken Road is the Back Down Devil MC story for Jake. The story stars with Jake answering a call from a woman he has been trying to help, Becca. He answers her plea for help and beats a man with a bat. Two patched members of rival MC arrive in Frelen and attack Gaige, Blaine and Jake. Miller needs someone to gather intel on the rival MC and since Jake isn’t known to him, he goes ‘undercover’ in the MC 2 hours from Frelen. He buries his cut behind a large rock marking the spot where he will leave notes to Back Down Devil and receive notes from them. He walks into the Rusted Devil MC bar to make contact with them saying that he’d heard they had opened membership.
Keira tends the bar for the MC; her brother is Kami the VP of the Rusted Devil MC. She likes what she sees in Jake and Jake can’t keep his eyes off her, but has to force himself to do so to play his part. To have a shot at getting the information he needs, Jake has to fight his way into the MC. The president, Apollo, decides that Jake will fight in the snake pit for the MC. The Rusted Devils need the money they will get from the fight to fund the club.

This is another amazing Back Down Devil MC read. I've loved every book I've read in this series.
Jake, a member of the Back Down Devil's motorcycle Club is fiercely loyal to his club. He's all muscle, sex appeal, and has a huge heart. The proudest thing in his life is the MC and he will do anything it takes to protect it. That loyalty causes Jake to go undercover when the Back Down Devils need Intel on the Rusted Devils MC.
Kieraismthe stepsister of the Rusted Devils MC Vice Pressient. She's a bartender in a biker bar. One Jake just happens to be in and needing some help. As the stepsister of the VP of the Rusted Devils she is protected and it's known she is off limits to the guys in the MC. Jake is attracted to her even though he knows better. Can these to find a way to make it work? Can these two survive the dangers that are coming their way?
I absolutely loved this story MC read, especially London Casey's ar always fast paced, full of action, suspense and adventure. Your drawn to the characters from the very beginning and don't want to of the book down. Jake is definitely a character you don't want to miss out on and the story is absolutely amazing.
London Casey never fails to write a book that I don't love. If you've not read the books in this series your missing out especially if your a fan of MC reads. I can't wait to see where London Cassy takes us next with her next book.

This short but sweet slice of life from the Back Down Devil series came as an unexpected but welcome surprise. As usual, the author knocked it out of the park on this one.
Jake took me by surprise with his total bad arse sexy self. His mission was to infiltrate a troubled club, the Rusted Devil MC, and find out if they are a threat to Back Down Devil. He never expected to fall for Keira, or to feel a need to help the rival club. I loved Jake. He was hot and he knew how much Keira wanted him and he hated lying to her. He didn't want to take advantage of her but circumstances and chemistry made it impossible their connection. He still tried to help everyone even when it turned the heat up on him.
Broken Road is a solid addition to the Back Down Devil series. It was rich in story and intricate twists. Jake and Keira were awesome together, and Blaine was his usual outrageous self. I can't wait to meet the woman brave enough to tame him, but for now, this was a very satisfying read.

Broken Road, a Back Down Devil MC romance by London Casey was a short story about a patched member, Jake, a former fighter who goes undercover into another MC to sort out why they had come into BDD Territory to shake down some locals. Were they hoping to expand into Frelin. or what? Jake's on his own if he gets caught but he's smart & a darn good fighter so he's accepted by the President & VP of the other club. The Vp's stepsister Keira catches his eye & against his better judgement he hooks up with her & she's his... There's action aplenty, some brash humour provided by Blaine, the bad guys are sorted & Jake heads back to his MC with an old lady. This series is winding down but is as fresh & compelling now as it was at the start. The characters are real with faults, frailties & full of life- you get to watch as they go about their daily lives. & know them like old friends. London Casey knows her stuff & you're assured of a good read. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Jake meets Keira when he goes undercover to see what is going on with the Rusted Devil MC. Jake puts his life on the line and buries his cut in order to try and infiltrate their MC to see what, if any, plans they have against Back Down Devil MC. Keira's stepbrother is the VP of Rusted Devil and he was kind of a loose cannon. The Rusted Devil's have been decimated by the cartel and are grasping as straws in order to stay alive. Keira has been running most of her life and knows she eventually has to stop. Jake and Keira feel instant attraction but Jake knows that he is lying to Keira and the Rusted Devil's so he is reluctant to get involved with her. When the truth comes out about how the cartel is getting their information, Jake puts his life on the line to help Keira and the Rusted Devil MC. Keira is upset when she learns the truth about Jake but sees his way of thinking eventually. It all works out in the end and Keira makes her own decision about where she wants to spend the rest of her life.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this Back Down Devil MC novella. It wasn't what I was expecting the characters to be like in this latest installment of the series. I wish it had been a full story instead of a novella.
I didn't like the two main characters Jake and Keira. Their story would have, in my opinion been better if their story had time to build and develop. The book was choppy, and it jumped around too much for my liking.
When an MC has a potential issue with another MC, they usually set up a meet instead of sending an individual in undercover. And, MC's don't ever allow women to have a say, never mind let them know anything about their business.
I'm not saying don't read the book. All I'm saying is that this book isn't up to its previous books in the series.

I got this in exchange for an honest review, I like London work and this one was great joy to read. I liked this story so much I loved the action suspense secrets and a lot of great things that come into this great story I was into the main characters Jake and Kiera and I liked Jack a lot the emotions and situations he is put in are amazing he is what made me keep reading it more than any other character main or second I was very attached to his mind personality and felt his struggles to many facts which I will not spoil you need to read this one big time you will enjoy it a lot and sparks emotions everything is so alive in him and in the story line

Jake is sent to a neighboring MC to infilitrate and make sure they are not gearing up to come after Back Down Devil. He will do whatever it takes even jumping into the dreaded snake pit. What he didn't account for was falling for the sister of the VP. Good thing she feels the same way about him. Finding the rats, dirty fighting, steany as hell sex and you have a MC dream novel. What can I say but wow! I like the turn this story takes. Jake infiltrates a rival MC to find out if they are coming for his club. Keira is the sister tho the rival MC's VP. Jake falls hard. Keira Dies to. Who will Kieran chose - her brother or Jake? This story is sexy as well as full of action and love. Can he convince the rival MC to let him help. I love this series and recommend this as a must read.

Love this series!!!
I have been a fan of BDD from the very beginning. Jakes story was just as exciting as all of the previous books. Going undercover for BDD was a little unnerving for Jake but he would do whatever he had to do to save his MC. Falling for Kierra while undercover for a different MC was not expected. Would he be able to heal this club and save his own from the Cartel creeping into his town. What would happen when the Rusted Devils MC found out that he was undercover? Loved this story and you will too!!!

Another great addition of the BBD MC... The story of Jake & Keira unfolds into a relationship that starts a bit rocky... Excellent addition to this series. Jake goes undercover knowing he won’t be getting any help from the Back Down Devil MC if he gets caught trying to join the Rusted Devil MC and find out what they are up to. Keira is the step-sister of the Rusted Devil’s VP and a complication Jake doesn’t need. This is a fast paced read with plenty of drama and suspense. The chemistry between Jake and Keira is hot. Loved it!

From the very first page to the very last, London Casey has written a story that captivates her readers. The story-line is intriguing, the characters are interesting, the story fast-paced, and well-written. My only complaint about Broken Road is that I need more.

Once again the author managed to make us feel like we are living
the life of an outlaw.
Sex,drug cartels,rides and motorcycles this book has it all.
The characters are well developed and hardcore!
If you love a good MC book then this series is definetely your cup of tea.

LOVED it! Jake pulled me in and didn't let go! His loyalty to his MC, his strength and his immediate connection to Keira is fantastic! The pages flew because I couldn't put it down. I was also intrigued by the Rusted Devil MC guys and would love to know more about them!

I have truly enjoyed all of London Casey's books and novellas. I love to hate some of the characters. This story is unusual since you don't often see a member of one club join another club. Jake hides his cut in the ground where he can receive messages from BDD while he is undercover. Of course the he meets a woman Keira. And off the story goes from there.

Broken by London Casey is another truly AMAZING story.
Another instalment (Though standalone) in the BDD series. This opposites that attract is just as page turning GREAT as the previous stories.

He only had a small part in the book but is there a man out in the world that is like Blaine? Because I want one. He is just dirty, perverted and sexy enough to be perfect. Now back to Jake and Kiera. Awwwwww! Jake was a true gentleman when he wasn’t being a sexy as hell bad-A biker. Yet another GREAT book buy London Casey. I am going to be so sad when I reach the end of this series. I will want and need more. Happy Reading!
