At just twenty-two years old, Wilhelmina Daniels inherits a house, a family of eclectic witches, and a death sentence on the same day. As revealed by Reid Thomas, her shy but smoldering neighbor, Wilhelmina is a descendent of the Innocent-a line of gifted women who are to be admired, feared, and above all else, protected.
Death, mayhem, and The Haunted...
The murder of Wilhelmina's mother-the family matriarch-sends the small town's rumor-mill into a frenzy. Suspicions fall on The Haunted, a rival force with dual personalities, one of them being Julien Cote. It's difficult to believe the charming boy has a sexual deviant with a hankering for violence lurking inside. Rumor has it Julien can seduce an angel out of her wings. Wilhelmina doesn't have wings, but if he calls her cheri d'amour one more time, she's liable to lose something of equal importance-her heart. But with Reid hailing from her clan, will she stay close to her own, or venture into the unknown?
Even a powerful spell can't seal Julien's fate...
Julien knows an incantation that just might help Wilhelmina to solve her mother's death, but when an unidentified stalker is spotted spying in her house, her family is certain it's Julien's dangerous alter ego come out to play. Wilhelmina must decide-is risking her life worth the possible heartbreak of discovering the truth about Julien's fate and her mother's death? Or will she cast aside her desire for Julien and vow her love to Reid.
Leaving her past forever buried in the murky depth of...Frog Hollow
Savannah was born in Hyden, Kentucky. She received her M.S in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Mississippi in 2009. She’s been writing since the early age of nine when she begged her parents for a type writer for Christmas.
She now lives in Corbin, Ky with her husband of eight years, John, and their two wonderful daughters, Delilah and Gracie.
When she isn’t working, or running after her kids, she spends her free time traveling the country with her husband. There is nothing better than a day of football in the grove, a late night of basketball at Rupp Arena or slapping the glass to celebrate another Washington Capitals goal.
She is a strong believer that with enough hard work and determination you can accomplish anything.
I wasn't sure about how I was going to like this when I first started reading it. Then I really got into it. It's such a good book that just sucks you right in. The tale that she weaves about the Innocents and Haunted is so intriguing. This book is full of twists and turns even right up to the end. Wilhelmina is finally going to find out about her past and why she has the abilities she does. It's nothing that she expected and soon finds herself in a love triangle. One who may be very dangerous and the other doesn't want her here. The more Wilhelmina uncovers about her past the more danger she is in. There were a couple parts where I teared up. There were times I was screaming NO in my head because the twist was so heartbreaking. Then there are moments that make your heart happy. I can't wait for more from this series.
Frog Hollow is a must read that is extremely difficult to place down...if only I didn't need to sleep everyday. The elegant, humor, and strength is felt within each page, and character.
Yep, This is one that you need to read. Tell your friend to get the book as well, so you can have someone to "release" too.
Where can I even begin? I’m finding it incredibly difficult to try and put into words just how much I truly enjoyed this book. I, without an ounce of a doubt, LOVED it. That’s for sure. Savannah Blevins managed to hook me right off the bat, from the very first page. I did not want to stop reading. I needed to see where the story would go. I was beyond intrigued. I had theories forming in my head and questions I craved the answers to.
When Willa came to Frog Hollow, the last thing she expected was what she discovered. The truth about her mother. The truth about her family. The truth about her. Boy, was she in for one heck of a ride! The Innocent vs. the Haunted. Stories, enemies, threats, deaths… Willa’s story is quite the page-turner, let me tell you!
Her family was AMAZING. I loved – loved – how close they all were and how well they got along. The dialogue and interactions between Willa and all the characters were natural and flawless. I felt a connection to all of them and felt as if I was a part of their group too! I honestly loved all the characters and was fully invested in ALL of their stories.
Reid and Julien. Oh, my word. I was in love with BOTH. Yes. This book is a bit of a love triangle and at times I found myself getting frustrated with Willa because she would give into BOTH of them. But then, I would take a moment and realize that if I had been in her shoes, I would’ve acted the same, exact way…if not worse. I loved them both just as much as she did! Like I mentioned above, I was invested in all of their stories. I understood Reid’s frustrations, as well as Julien’s. And the fact that they BOTH had secrets….? Well, THAT just had me feeling like I was at the edge of my seat, nervous to discover what they were hiding – especially Julien.
The ending was PHENOMENAL and everything I hoped for. One of my theories actually turned out to be right!! I was SUPER excited about that one! The events leading up to that ending, though, shattered my heart. As in, I was crying while reading and that hasn’t happened in a long time!! I cannot wait to see where Ms. Blevins takes us next with this series!
If you’re a fan of Fantasy and/or Paranormal Romances, you MUST grab your copy of Frog Hollow by Savannah Blevins. You won’t be sorry! FIVE brilliant stars!
This book was running along all fine and dandy until the dreaded love triangle hit in full force. First the main character's entire personality was taken over by two controlling douchey men. Yay. Then the plot got super scattered in about the last 1/3 so I had to keep going back to see what had happened. It's a real pity because the writing was pretty solid and the world building was interesting and I'm a sucker for characters who can't emotionally connect, but most of that disappeared under a pile of "Who will she choose?" and general manpain. For someone with severe trust issues, she trusts random men she's known for ten minutes way more than she ever should.
I really wanted to love this book but the best I can give is a like, the first few chapters were very interesting but I kinda got lost in the middle of the story and the love triangle kinda threw me off as well I’m not sure if it came out exactly as the author intended but it really didn’t do it for me especially after the “transformation”. I still don’t understand the lead character. I liked the concept of the story it’s something different from what I’ve read so far but I don’t think I’ll continue with the series.

Frog Hollow written by Savannah Blevins is the first book in her Witches of Sanctuary series. This is also the first book I have read by Ms. Blevins, but it won't be the last. From the world building, descriptive character building, and the interesting storyline, this book had me hooked from beginning to end. This book has mystery, intrigue, danger, magic, friendships, family, heartache, and love. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
At times, this book feels slow moving and isn’t enthralling. Other times I feel like key things have been left out and it was frustrating as a reader. Ultimately, I’m glad that I stuck with it. I can’t wait to see what the Witches of Sanctuary Book 2 holds for Willa, Reid, Julian and the rest of the Innocents.
This is a new author. I have read this book and giving my honest review. Oh I love witches, this book had everything. I could not put this book down had to find out what happened. Adventure, love and oh my goodness what a twist. I am not spoiling you have to read this book you will really enjoy. Now onto book 2 .
This author got it right. A very touching story about love, hate, family and friends. If you are looking for sex, look somewhere else. A person lost becomes a family gained. A family gained becomes stronger.
Frog Hollow is an amazing magical story of Willa finding a home. She comes from nothing to find herself enveloped in a family of Innocents. Of course, she is drawn to two men a southern boy with a heart of gold and a charming Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with the ability to rip her heart out. I loved this story. It was filled with great descriptions, heart ache, a touch of humor and a little scary on the side. If you enjoy a good romance with a twist of action, pick up this book, because you never know who your sun is.
I really enjoyed this book. There were some many aspects of this book but really it was about the main character Willa finding her place in her family that she didn't even know that she had. She moves across the country to live among her family that she knew nothing about and then find things about herself that she never knew. Of course she falls for a boy who turns everything she knows upside down and then you are sucked into this magical world of Innocents and Hallows and before you knowing you are begging for the next book in the series. Very well down I really enjoyed it.
I absolutely love this story. The characters bring you on an emotional ride with them, making you feel their loneliness, love, friendship, and sorrow throughout the book. I can only hope that since this book was labeled as a book 1, that means there will be more books to take me along on the ride with them!
A lot of magic, a family found and a secret to solve. Evil and danger around every corner and a mad man who wants nothing but the death of an innocent.
