Cherub Collection Books 1–6

Rate this book
An undercover teen agent discovers the ups and downs of espionage in the first six books of the CHERUB series, which Rick Riordan says has “plenty of action”—now available together in a collectible boxed set!

CHERUB agents are highly trained, extremely talented—and all under the age of seventeen. For official purposes, these agents do not exist. It is a tough job, but these agents have one crucial advantage: adults never suspect that teens are spying on them. Follow James through his training and his action-packed missions as he learns what it means to be a true CHERUB agent.

This action packed boxed set includes The Recruit, The Dealer, Maximum Security, The Killing, Divine Madness, and Man vs. Beast.

Robert Muchamore was born in Islington, London in 1972. He still lives there, and worked as a private investigator up until 2005 and the critically-accepted release of Maximum Security.

The Hunger Games phenomenon is part of the huge YA / Children's book explosion that has grown, thanks to the British Rat pack of YA authors, Anthony Horowitz, Robert Muchamore, Mark A. Cooper and Charlie Higson. We owe much of the hunger games sucess to authors such as Robert.

Robert was inspired to create the CHERUB series by his nephew after he complained about the lack of anything for them to read. CHERUB: The Recruit was Robert's first book and won the Red House Children's Book Award 2005 in the Older Readers Category.

Following the last book in the CHERUB series, it was revealed that a trilogy would be released starting from August 2011 that will focus on a new set of CHERUB agents centred upon Ryan Sharma and also involve an sixteen year old Lauren Adams. The first book will be called People's Republic.

Check out the Hendersons Boys series. Henderson's Boys is a series of young adult spy novels written by English author Robert Muchamore. The series follows Charles Henderson, the creator of the fictitious CHERUB organisation.
CHERUB is currently being made into a TV series.

I loved the series it was a good series only, I didn't like the fact that Lauren got the black t-shirt before James.

My favourite part was the whole James and his love life. I felt like it was realistic and like a normal teenage boys and I think it didn't distract us to much from the whole going on missions bit nor did it over shadow the whole thing.

The whole kid spies thing was done very well, it was to over the top and you had missions that failed or didn't go to plan (The Fall, I think was one where this was shown) and the fact that the kids safety was first on their list. It was to over the top dangerous with big missions.

My favourite is Maximum Security because it was awesome and I felt was the best written.

After reading Alex rider, I think that Cherub is a better early-adult-spy book. This is beacuse alex rider is darker that Cherub winch can get disturbing. This one has more charictars and the series is longer. Cherub seems like you can get to know the characters better because it explains there thaoughts.

I love the Cherub series, I find that it's approach to kid spies is the most realistic I've seen in a long time. I also love the classic teen fiction side to it; the romance and just plain teenagerness. Not to mention the brilliantly thought out cases and mysteries. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series.
