Stealing Christmas is by the wonderful Alexa Riley. And what a surprise. If I had read the entire synopsis, I would have realized that this had a second book in it, Snow and Mistletoe. These are two of the sweetest, sexiest stories that had me melted in to a pile of goo right from the start.
Stealing Christmas
Nicholas Light lives in the castle he inherited from his family by himself. It is way too big just for him but he can’t let it go. After his parents died he transitioned into his father’s position at the company he owned as well. He owns malls and other properties all over the place. It was while checking the security feed at one of his malls that he first saw her. She was setting up a display and he couldn’t look away. Watching her became an obsession. So Nicholas decided to open his house up and throw a party, just so he could invite her there. And once he got her there, he didn’t plan to let her leave.
Christmas Winter loves her job. She is in charge of happiness. She keeps the mall decorated for whatever season it is. It’s Christmas Eve and she is dressed up as an elf helping out with the festivities. All she has to look forward to when she leaves to go home is an empty apartment. So she’s thrilled when she was told her presence is requested at the owner’s mansion. She’s never met him. But there are rumors that he is planning o sell the mall where she works, leaving so many people out of work. Maybe she can convince him not to sell.
“I’d never heard her speak a word, and yet I knew she was kind. I’d never felt her touch, yet I knew she was tender and sweet. I’d never kissed her lips, yet I knew that she was the one.”
After she arrives, she is swept up by Nicholas. How can she feel so much for this man she just met. And Nicholas, who has long obsessed over this woman, can’t believe he finally has her here. Now all he has to do is convince her to stay.
This little book seriously melted me into a pile of goo. This man, just…to say he made me swoon is an understatement. And of course, Christmas was adorable. And there are not one but two epilogues. It just doesn’t get any better than that.

This is just going to be a quick summary of this one and I will review it more in depth separately. Alex lives with scars keeping himself hidden at his cabin in the woods. He runs a company that matches narrators with books. That’s how he first heard Noelle’s voice and fell in love.
Noelle speaks with Alex daily now, reading samples of books for him. She dreams and fantasizes about the man that goes with that voice.
With her internet down and a book due, she goes in search of Alex’s house on Christmas Eve. Will he be glad to finally meet her. Or has she imagined the connection she feels on the phone. Can Alex let her see his scars? Or will she be repulsed by him and never want to have anything to do with him again?
This is another sweet perfection of a story that will have you melting. I don’t know what it is about Alexa Riley and her magic. I know exactly what I am going to get going in to any of her books but still, I find myself surprised every single time. I haven’t walked away from a single one of her books without a smile and a happy heart. Thank you, Alexa Riley and Merry Christmas.

This one gets a BONUS Star for the awesome cover!
AWESOME cover aside. This one was a miss for me. I feel like I am saying that a lot lately with these shorties, but just because a book is short, or insta, or safe, doesn't mean it shouldn't be held to the same standards of writing, plot, and characterization, as a regular length book. I've read some really awesome novella length books.
The story in this one was just nonexistent for me. The heroine came off as an addled brain giggling teenager. I usually love these authors heroes, but this one was odd to me. He didn't have an ounce of personality. And the weird OW scene was really awkward and served no purpose other then I guess the heroine getting called fat. *shrug*
It's really a shame because some of these super short books have SO much potential to be really awesome books if only they were longer and more time spent fleshing out the stories. Oh well, just my 2 cents.

4.25 CHRISTMAS STARS
This was sweet little holiday read that features some old school Christmas songs and some tender moments dedicated to spreading the holiday cheer.
Before I begin my review I will be honest and say I Love Alexa Rileys books and I did enjoy this one immensely but I was not quite the perfect little HOT holiday read I was expecting.
The problem for me was the hero, while in insta-Love/lust with the heroine (which I adore), was just too much of a holiday cliché. His name was of course Nicolas or Nick but he was a type of Scrooge, but not cheap. He is an extremely rich recluse living high on a hill (honestly you know the drill here!)
Generally, I was just disappointed with all his whole persona. He doesn't celebrate Christmas, doesn't want others around him since his father passed away but when he sees his Christmas on his mall Surveillance camera he decides CHRISTMAS IS THE PERFECT TIME TO CLAIM HER!
So out come the decorations and all the holiday fanfare, he was going to put on a Christmas party to entice his Christmas over. Yeah, I know cheesy but it was mostly a good cheesy.
Now the heroine I loved. As you can guess her name is Christmas and she was just about the kindest person you could ever meet. She loves the holidays even without anyone to celebrate with, she gives of herself to make everyone holidays special!
SHE IS CHRISTMAS AND SHE EMBODIES THAT SPIRIT PERFECTLY!
So the Book as a whole was highly enjoyable and with two epilogues 2 years later and 10 years later, it felt complete despite its shorter length. Both of which takes place at Christmas just to keep you in the holiday mood, just in case you were getting out of it. Lol!
I would recommend this book as a short and sweet little holiday treat.
Also, included in the download was another holiday story by AR Snow and Mistletoe.
Safety: heroine is a virgin and hero has been celibate I believe for 2 years? Not sure as it does not say but he is NOT A VIRGIN HERE! No cheating and some very light OW/OM drama. No condoms but was mentioned.

I'm loving that cover! While I've got to say that this one caused me to stretch my believability muscle a little more than usual, I found it a cute story. Especially Christmas' character. She had the sweet, biddable vibe, but I liked that she also seemed to instinctively know how to manage Nicholas lol Nicholas was kind of a douche to everyone but her and the change in him when dealing with his obsession was remarkable. If you're looking for a short, safe, sexy, holiday read and don't feel like taking anything too seriously, this is for you. Safety: AR books are full of obsessed heroes that see nobody but their ladies. No rape or abuse.

Nicholas Light's name might sound happy and cheery, though he was nothing but. As an heir to a family fortune and owner of the mall, he rarely made an appearance, preferring to watch the comings and goings from the CCTV instead. When a voluptuous Santa's helper caught his eyes, he knew he found the one who would put the light in his life.
I think Christmas and Nic were so cute together. He was the recluse grouch, while she was the epitome of joy. They balanced each other well.
In term of story, this one was more cute than sexy. There wasn't much sexual tension between them, but when it happened, it could warm you up nicely :p

So sweet for a smutty! Honestly, I liked the second story with Noelle and Alex better than the one with Christmas and Nic!

This is as expected a short hot read. Christmas Winter is all alone after the death of her mother and so she takes huge pleasure in her job at the mall especially near Christmas when she acts as Santa's little helper.
Nicholas is a billionaire but he's a recluse and his life has been on hold since the death of his father but now it's time for him to claim the woman who has won his heart.
This is an insta-love and goes as expected but it's a cute quick Christmas read and as you'd expect from Alexa it's hot.
Stealing Christmas ends about 46% and then there's an additional little read Snow and Mistletoe which I read last year and really enjoyed.

3.5 stars. New story of Alexa Riley is a lot of sweet, but not so much dirty and a little too short. However more important, it has christmas atmosphere! And I love Christmas Smut.
Christmas Winter, yes it's really her name, works as an elf in the mall. When she is asked to take part in a Christmas party at the owner house, Nicholas Light, she doesn't know for what purpose. But he has only one goal, draw down her to his house and keep to yourself.
I love this time of year, and books with Christmas theme. So I started this story very excited. The best thing is that double meaning of name Christmas. It was adorable and funny idea. The whole story is very, very quick and has a relatively little hot scenes. But still Alexa Riley is the best writer of short insta-love stories. And I will read each of her next book just because.

I love AR's books! Always with OTT alpha males, very likable heroines, insta-love, super sweet and hot stories and epilogues with marriage and babies. What more can you ask?

Nicholas is a very rich man. He owns the mall where Christmas works and he owns a lot more. After his father passed away, he became a loner. Prefers it that way until he saw Christmas from the mall security cameras while he's doing his business routine checks. He watched her all day and stalked her since then.
He held a party at his mansion as an excuse to get her there. Once she's there, there's no letting go.
The book has two epilogues with marriage and babies.

WOW this was as sweet as a Christmas cookie, it was over far to quick for me.
For Christmas and Nicholas it is instant love and Nicholas is quick (you will understand after you have read). They have a perfect first Christmas together.
I loved EVERYTHING about this and the epilogues were fantastic.

A wonderful sweet Christmas romance.
It was love at first sound for both Noelle and Alex.
Throw together Christmas Eve a snow storm and a cabin in the middle of nowhere what will these two lonely souls do to keep each other warm on Christmas?
The epilogue was cute
For Christmas and Nicholas it is instant love and Nicholas is quick (you will understand after you have read). They have a perfect first Christmas together.
I loved EVERYTHING about this and the epilogues were fantastic.

This was cute enough, though the insta-love was a tad too instant... Even for me.
Now, if I may briefly touch on the fat shaming I saw going on in a couple of reviews for this book. My two cents on the matter?
Cut that shit out.
It's not cute. There are literally thousands of books (I see hundreds of them daily in my GR feed alone) on here and out there with bombshell blondes, petite firecracker redheads and girl next door brunettes (all "slim girl" stereo types) as the heroines and I see NO ONE complaining. If AR is having a "curvy girl" or even a "big girl" phase, I say more power to them. I'm here for it. I'm here for ALL girls getting their smut on.

Sweet, innocent, inexperienced Christmas heads to her bosses mansion at his request for a Christmas party, little does she know but Nicholas Light is more than familiar with her having spent the last few weeks lusting after her over his company security cameras.

Definitely something to add to your Christmas TBR, if you are looking for a quick, yet satisfying read.

This one, boo...not so much. I got kind of bored and both characters were dull. I finished it, but it took me all day to read 100 pages.

I found this one lacking the usual AR hotness. It was more sweet than sexy and while that's not always a bad thing, it's not what I was looking for in this book. Without the super hot moments the overall story was just meh for me and I didn't really find it exciting at all. The heroine was too naive for me and the Hero wasn't that great either. I think the only thing I learned about him was how much he wanted the heroine, and that's it.
Not my favorite AR book but I haven't given up on them! Can't wait to see what other hotness they have in store for us.

Well, it Tis The Season and once again Alexa Riley has the perfect OTT man, we insta love Riley Ho's love. There is a full figured woman who is our guy's obsession. She has remained as pure as her name, Christmas Winters, because taking care of her ailing mother happened when all the other budding girls were discovering boys. She is alone now and for the past few years has worked as the mall's Holiday Event Planner aranging all of the productions throughout the year.
The owner of the mall has been alone for many years... his father taught him everything about business and life. Nicholas Light... (Yes, with names like that, these two belong together) misses his father and has retreated...becoming a recluse...

In my case, I was translating. My Romanian friends will see my predicament trying to translate "pounding cock" and all the other euphemisms. And we wondered at Christmas' cinnamon and honey taste down there. Didn't she feel itchy with the cinnamon?
Not to mention hubby was dumbstruck by Nic's desire to see Christmas pregnant all the time. Silly man! He really doesn't know the first thing about Alexa Riley.
All in all, we had a great laugh. And I found Snow and Mistletoe right after Stealing Christmas, so I'll go translate some more. ;)

So when she takes a job as an elf in the mall, she’s excited to spread some cheer. But Christmas could never expect what happens when she catches the eye of a stranger.
Nicholas Light owns everything he sees, and when his eyes land on the new elf in his mall’s Santa exhibit, he knows she’s no different. There’s something about her sweet innocence that he has to have, and he’ll concoct a plan to make that happen.

2* christmas light: off STARS!
Simply, I did not like this. It pains me so much to rate this below average because I liked her Snow & Mistletoe's story. I enjoyed at first then, everything was falling down so fast. Suddenly, they're fucking like horny bunnies.
As silly as her name, Christmas Winter seems happy all the time. She's very typical AR' heroine with innocent face also naive. She works at Mall of Light, owned by Nicholas Light. The mysterious owner suddenly invite her to his party. Nicholas always a loner in his huge mansion never has party but this is for Christmas. The woman he has beenstalked adored from a far.
There is no chemistry between them. They never met before moreover talk. Nicholas saw her as the only woman who can give him an heir to his company because she's perfect. The other bonus is Christmas is virgin and he's the only man in her life. Typical.
The story looked promising but ridiculous in the process. First, she's a virgin but can fuck like a porn star? WTF strike one! Second, the mentioned of her thick body all over again. WTF strike two! Last, Nicholas proposed her in the same time. Even it hasn't 48 hours since they met. WTF strike third! OUT! AR seems very confused with this story. Either they wanna make this super sweet or super dirty. I don't like in between. Very disappointing.

Warning: Grab your jingle bells and swing them over your head… This holiday quickie is gonna light up your Noel. Okay, none of that made sense. But it sounded festive, right? This book is adorable, and you’ll love it. Just don’t get tinsel stuck in the wrong places. Trust us.Honestly this didn't seem as smutty as her other novels, and I wasn't as smitten with Nicholas as I have been with her other heroes (he was expectantly sweet and possessive, however he was also a wee bit stalkerish for me), but I loved Christmas so much that I can't give less than 4 stars! As you can see on the cover, she's an overweight heroine, which I absolutely love in general. However it was a pleasant surprise that she was a confident overweight heroine. Not once was she insecure about her weight, in fact it was barely mentioned (except for a scathing comment by someone else, and even then she wasn't self-conscious). She absolutely owned who she was.

Another great read by AR, perfect for holiday season with the hottest Scrooge I ever read and a sweet and innocent girl named Christmas. You combine this two and you have a sexy short story filled with smuttiness like only AR can bring. This was one sweeter than others I've read but still so hot and as always, the perfect epilogue! <3

It was hot, no doubt. But I wish there was a good story and character and relationship development too. It all felt fake and hurried to me. It wouldn't have hurt if there was a proper pacing of the story. I guess the main priority was the intimacy scenes, not the the backstory.
