Amanda Young is one of those authors that in my opinion does not write a bad book. All of her characters get to the heart of the relationship and work hard to be together.

I have a confession to make.
I am really not a huge fan of Menage books. Having said that I LOVED this book! I thought the characters were very well written. Not only were they interesting, but they are characters that are very likeable and people I could see myself being friends with.

Emma Taylor has been trying to get back on her feet again. After a disastrous relationship with her ex-financee, her self esteem has taken a beating. To make matters worse, she finds herself attracted to her ex-fiancee's brother-and her best friend Will-who is in a very happy homosexual relationship with his equally sexy and desirable partner Paul. She finds herself fantasizing about having them both in her life, but thinks it is just a fantasy that will never come true.

Will O'Malley has a hidden desire. He has been in a happy, loving and very successful relationship with his partner, Paul for two years. But, in his heart there is something missing in his life, his friend and brother's ex-fiance Emma Taylor.
Will has always been attracted and drawn to Emma like a moth to a flame. There has been nothing but friendship between them, and when she needed a job or a shoulder to cry on, he has always been there for her to help her out in any way he can. But, lately he has been restless. Although, he loves and desires Paul, he wants Emma too...and it's making him crazy.

Paul has sensed Will has feelings for Emma. Although, he doesn't doubt Will's devotion to him, he suspects Will is starting to get restless. Paul himself has always been intrigued by the sweet, beautiful Emma. So when he confronts Will about Will's feelings for Emma, and finds out that his hunch was correct, he sets in motion a way for Emma to join in the circle of their love.

Watching Emma, Will and Paul come together and work out their differences to make a loving bond between them was beautiful to watch. I am so jealous of Emma...she couldn't find more perfect, sexy mates in Will and Paul. I loved every minute of this book and I hated to see it come to an end.

If you are offended by a beautiful love story and some super hot M/M, M/F and M/M/F sex... this book is not for you! Otherwise, grab a cold drink and enjoy it!

I was in the mood for a short, bi-menage story last night so I dug through my stash of ebooks and picked this one out. I had no idea what to expect from it since I didn't know anything about the author. But I was pleasantly surprised by the book. It was pretty good!

Summary:
Emma Taylor works as a waitress in Will O'Malley's pub. She's secretly been in lust with Will for a long time, despite the fact that she was engaged (and left at the altar) by his little brother. And despite the fact that Will is involved with another man (Paul). In fact, Emma is attracted to both men and secretly fantasizes about being the cheese in a Will/Paul sandwich.

What Emma doesn't know is that Will secretly lusts after her as well. He hides his feeling because of what his little brother did, because he truly loves Paul, and because even though they have brought a third into their relationship before, Will doesn't want to submit Emma to the stigma of what their atypical relationship. For Paul, he's open to anything and considers himself "try-sexual"...he'll try anything once. He's attracted to Emma and already cares about, so he decides to nudge the situation along. Which isn't hard to do, and soon the three are happy in their situation. But misunderstandings and fears may tear them apart.

Review:
Being the sort of person who doesn't believe love is sexually oriented, I tend to enjoy any book with an alternate romance (menage, bi menage, m/m, etc). I find them refreshing to read. So I figured I would enjoy this book on some level. But I ended up liking it quite a bit. It's a solid little short story.

I liked the dynamic between the three characters. They were all different in their own sort of way. Will is the sort of brooding Alpha, Paul is the happy-go-lucky Beta hero, and Emma is the good girl with a naughty side. They all fit really well together.

And whew! The sex was smokin! Definitely some super hot scenes in this book. And though the book is highly erotic, I didn't feel like the sex took over the story. There is a nice balance between the sex, the character development and the relationship development. It kept the book moving and multi-dimensional.

Sure, there could have been a bit more development on the characters, a bit more info about Will's past and what he went through when he realized he was attracted to Paul (after being strictly hetero) and Paul's past could have been explored more, but this was a shorter story. There will almost always be a few holes when the story is of the short variety.

But all in all, I found this book an enjoyable read. If you want to read a sexy story about and alternative relationship, then this is one you might want to try.

WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex and language, oral sex (m/f/m, m/f, m/m) anal sex (m/f/m, m/m), m/f/m bi-menage HEA, a little dominance play, toys, body jewelry, voyeurism...I think that's the major stuff ;)

No too much to say about this one. It was a very easy read, but not too much was going on besides the relationship between the two bisexual men and the woman they wanted to make their third. Paul (31) and Will(35) are bar owners and Emma (25) is the woman they desire. Emma at one time was to become Will's sister-in-law, but was left at the altar years ago by his sleezy younger brother. Emma's always had a secret 'thing' for Will, but is reluctant to pursue it because he's her boss. Plus she knows he's in love with Paul, and doesn't want to come between them. Well actually, she wouldn't mind being the filling in a Will-Paul sandwich...When she accidentally walks in on Will and Paul 'getting busy', she flees in embarrassment. Imagine her surprise when Paul engineers her secret fantasy. Will this be a one time thing or does this trio have the strength and love to make this a lifelong committment?

I liked all the characters in this one. Strangely enough, this wasn't as sleezy or erotic as I thought it would be. Paul was a real sweetheart (although I still don't know why he felt he had to hide his medical condition), Will was a little old-fashioned with his views about women (why would he insist his scummy brother marry a woman he had no respect for just because she was pregnant? Why would he wish his brother on anyone?) and Emma was a girl-next-door type (who just happened to want to do anything for the man she loved, even if she had to share him)

So not a bad read if you're looking for this kind of story. I do wonder why the author chose to use the phrase 'his prehensile tongue' a couple of times though. Somehow that just made me think of lizards...:)
3 1/2 stars.

Warning: This book contains explicit language and sex, including oral and anal, in various combos (m/m, m/f, m/f/m, m/m/f). Not for the faint of heart.

Amanda Young has written an excellent menage story about the menage relationship itself. "Something More" doesn't have a mystery, danger, or anything else to take your attention away from the delicate balance and openness required for three people to come together in one relationship.

Emma has been in love with Will, her almost-brother-in-law and current boss, for longer than she wants to remember. But once Will settled into a relationship with Paul, she pretty much gave up on her dreams and satisfied herself with being a friend to both. But recently her fantasies have gotten hotter and hotter and revolve around her WITH both men. When her computer crashes (yet again) after her latest erotic e-books purchase, she drops her computer off at Paul and Will's for repair. When Paul checks out her 'new' genre of erotic reading material, he realizes Emma is finally ready...to make both himself and Will VERY happy men.

Just a fabulous and emotion-filled read about three people working past their fears and hurts. If you would enjoy an emotion-based menage relationship read that still filled with smoking sex...I can't recommend "Something More" highly enough.

♥ Story ♥

This is the love story of Emma, Will, and Paul.

Emma was left at the alter by Mark, who is Will's younger brother. Ever since Mark first brought Emma home to meet his family, Will has had a crush on her. Currently being in a committed relationship, hasn't stopped the fantasies either. Oh, and did I mention that Will is Emma's boss?
Totally not complicated at all, Right?

Paul is Will's boyfriend. And they live together. And Paul loves Will deeply. And Will loves him deeply in return. Have you caught on yet to the massive guilt trip building in Will's mind?

Emma has also had an attraction to Will since their first meeting, which grew into fantasies of her own after Mark left her. She is completely envious of Paul and Will's relationship, and secretly dreams of being the cream in their Oreo cookie!

Paul is not stupid and can see the slow burn between Will and Emma, even though the two of them seem to be oblivious about it. Paul enjoys the pleasure of both sexes, contrary to popular town belief, and sees the potential that Emma represents.

So they all three like each other and want to have sex with each other, but all three are too afraid to broach the subject with the other in fear of crossing an unwelcomed bridge that would ruin their friendship.

How adorably awkward is that?!

“You know,” he said, smiling at her and leaning back against the door, “I’m really starting to think you’re crashing that box on purpose, just so you can come over here and flirt with me.” - Paul

Paul is Emma's go-to person for when her old laptop breaks, which is apparently often. Since he is in the middle of a project, he asks to keep it overnight so he can work on it once finished. She is nervous about leaving it overnight, but leaves it anyway as she can't afford to take it elsewhere. This piques Paul's interest to find out what she is hiding. Imagine Paul's surprise when he finds out what that is! And it's good too!

From there it just gets even HOTTER!

This is a VERY hot and steamy story with lots of scenes to melt your clothes off.

If you like your love stories with lots of sultry sex, then this is the one for you.

Emma, Will, and Paul will steal your heart and your lust!

Emma ❤ Will ❤ Paul

♥ Author ♥

This is my first read/listen by Amanda Young and it is definitely a good one. I do plan to listen to more! Going by her website, she specializes in M/M and ménages. She even has 2 separate ARC teams for them. You can find all the details on her website.

Amanda has 03 titles listed on Audible, but lots of ebooks if you want more but can't wait for audio.

♥ Narrator(s) ♥

Beth Roeg performed a threesome with her mouth. Wait, that sounds really dirty, lol. Something More has lusty scenes with 2 men and 1 women and Beth pulled it off very well. It was easy to get lost in the smexy details, no matter who was talking, which says a lot about the narrator in my opinion. It definitely makes me want to listen to more!

Beth has 36 titles listed on Audible, and I definitely want to get some of the shifter ones, cause I love me a hot sexy shifter story!

I cant really say to much about this story. It was a cute, quick little read. I had trouble enjoying it. Not because of the story itself but because of the way I read it (via my i phone - not recommended)

So the story is about Will and Paul who are gay(or it that bi-sexual?). They just haven't found the right woman. They decide to add Emma into their lives because Emma and Will have crushes already on each other and it doesn't take long for Paul, Will and Emma to fall in love with each other once their relationship grows.

There is the usual back lash from family, the predictable fights and make ups and of-course everything is solved with some hot sex. But at the end of the day everyone has the HEA.

Paul and Will have been together for years. Neither one is strictly gay. They both like women as well. They also both have the hots for Emma.

Paul does a little orchestrating and attempts to get the three of them together.

This was a hot short story. It was realistic in that everyone is not completely understanding of lifestyles that are not the "norm".

I do like how they finally got their HEA.

Will and Emma have wanted each other since she was dating his brother, who left her at the altar 4 years ago. They have both kept it a secret, especially from each other. Will's boyfriend Paul also wants Emma and decides to bring them all together, but not as a one-night stand as all of the other women were that Will and Paul brought to their bed. They want to keep her. There are a lot of hurdles to deal with due to Emma's previous relationship, but they mostly just need to pull their heads out of the rear ends. A very good story.

A good story about three people in a relationship. It took them some time to figure out what they need to do to get the more they all wanted but they got there in the end. I love Paul's character, he's a go getter. Good narration.

I received a free audio copy.

At under 200 pages and slightly bigger font this book is a really quick read.

It was a cute little story. Will and Paul are gay but are really bi-sexual. They just haven't found the right woman. They decide to add Emma into their lives. Emma and Will have crushes already on each other (if not in love) and it doesn't take long for Paul to fall in love with Emma once their relationship grows.

The story on how they arrive together is sweet and I really enjoyed it. The story did get a little far fetched towards the end and that is where the author lost me.

I really liked the characters and the plot was good. Quite honestly I wish the book was "something more" which is funny because that is the title of the book.

I don't know why I expected more from this than I did. I think the description was a tease. My main problem with the book was the character of Will and how Emma and Paul pretty just shrugged and went along with his short comings. At one point Paul talks to Emma about communication, the real person he needs to have that conversation with was Will.

The sex scenes were good, but that's the only reason it got two stars instead of one. This review is probably harsher than it needs to be, the writing wasn't bad. I just truly disliked Will. However, I do think there are a lot of people who will enjoy this book. I'm just not one of them.

I wanted to like this. I really did. I love the concept that it's starting with two men already in a relationship, that's a refreshing change. But right from the start it's too easy for this thing to happen. A brother comes into the picture to play the role of bad / threatening / insensitive guy and it's soooo black hat. I appreciate that there's time given to the challenge of "what will everyone think" but even that is resolved pretty easily. And sorry, I'm 90% guaranteed to hate a ménage story that ends with marriage and pregnancy.

I volunteered to read and review this book.
Amanda is a very talented author and her book was a great read. I didnt think I would like these types of stories but I'm beginning to read more of them. This book is about a girl who was suppposed to get married and was then dumped on her wedding day. She likes her boss but knows she cant have him anyway as he's in a gay realtionship. But like many things in life things aren't always what they seem.
This book has HEA and is rounded out nicely with no cliff hangers.
If you like MFM books or are unsure of them this is a good one to start your collection with.

This was my first book by Amanda Young, but I will definitely be going back and reading more of her work & I can't wait! Something More is a steamy story about a menage and it is about so much more than just the sex. The characters and their stories are very well developed and I thought the storyline was great! Will, has had feelings for Emma for years, but doesn't want to hurt his partner, Paul. Paul is interested in Emma also. When Paul decides to do something about it and approaches Emma about a relationship with both of them. For the rest of the story, you'll just jave to read the book! I enjoyed this book more than any that I've read in quite some time and I would definitely recommend it, if you like to read menage stories. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
