Nothing is more important than keeping her and their child safe.
Dana Hallsey is on her last trip. After so many journeys to the planet of Octava, the Ambassador from Terra has had enough of seeing everybody find their fated when she can't muster any faith in love anymore. As a single mother, she has to do what's right for her son - and that's giving him stability. Not something in abundance in an alien warzone!
Chase and Havoc are two men at odds. The alien warlords are the protectors of their realm and all that stands between Octava and certain annihilation, but sometimes, it feels like they're a bigger threat to each other than any enemy could be. When fate ties them to the same woman, one who's stubbornly ready to protect herself, all their conflicts have to come to an end. One way or another.
The fate of Octava, and their love, depends on it.
Vi's a small-town girl with big city dreams. Born and raised in Texas, she's always had her eyes to the stars. Telling stories is her passion and when she can mix a whole lot of steam with equal parts sexy alien hunks, well, things just get that much better, right?
An ardent Rangers fan, she believes all men should come in a yummy beefcake package and that's exactly the kind of heroes she prefers. A curvy woman herself, Vi likes to write heroines as sassy as she is.
She likes indulging in a little wine and a little chocolate, but her first love int life is writing and everything else follows second.
I am really enjoying this series. I just can't seem to get enough of it.
Dana Hallsey is the Ambassador of Terra and has been bringing women to Octava for years to see if they can meet their mate. This is going to be her last trip. She has to think about her son Sean and make a life for them. Her ex really ruined her in the relationship part of her life. She doesn't know if she will ever be with someone again. Her son has to come first.
Chase and Havoc can't stand each other at the best of time. Havoc lost his mate years ago and doesn't believe that the fates will gift him with another one. Chase has talked him into going just to shut him up. Neither thought they would have the same mate but that is what happens when they see Dana.
All three of them have their work cut out for them to make a relationship work. They each have things they have to deal with. I really enjoyed watching this story unfold. I never knew what would happen next. I just really wanted Dana to get her act together. It was hard to read some of the things that she went through.
I can't wait to see if there are any more books in this series. I am really hoping that there is.
I enjoyed this addition to the Warlords of Octava series every bit as much as the first release. The stories can standalone, have their own featured triads, and a warm, fuzzy HEA. As in book one, the Terran female who ventures to Octava doesn't expect to find her fated mate, much less two of them. But there the storylines diverge. Dana Hallsey is the ambassador of a spaceship bringing Terran women to Octava to take a chance on finding a fated mate. But Dana, a single mother, has given up on love, is tired of the pain of escorting the women who were not chosen by fate to find a mate back to Terra and has made plans to leave her job. So when she sees the two warlords step into the arena for a challenge fight, she doesn't know what to think. They are the best of the Warlords, apex predators, and they are staring right at her.
Chase has been after Havoc for quite some time to participate in the Celebration, in hopes of his finding a mate among the new Terran arrivals. But Havoc is still mourning the loss of his Terran mate, Hannah, who died two years earlier. Havoc finally agrees to go, but only to the challenge arena, where he will finally take on Chase, his frenemy and possible equal. He never expects that fate will give him a second chance at a mate or that he will have to share. Especially with the League charging at their borders again, taking them back into battle, a place where a mate can't go.
This review is of a prerelease copy and is my voluntary and honest opinion.
It's a romantic Scifi adventure by Vi Voxley. What else could I possibly want? Dana Hallsey is the Earth Ambassador to Octava. She is charged with getting many young women to Octava to try to find mates. She brings her son, Sean on these trips as he is so much a part of the best of her life.
She plans on making this her final trip for two reasons: 1) to give Sean a more stable life and 2) the young women who do not find mates are usually heartbroken and depressed. Many take a pill to forget the whole thing. Dana can't do that as she must be there to support these women in their distress. Many of the women will return 3, 4, or more times looking for their mates, and sometimes finding them.
It always a festival when the large ship Sanguine arrives. Two of their biggest and most fierce warriors will put on a demonstration fighting match. They are fairly equal in abilities, but Chase is looking for his mate and Havoc lost his mate 2 years prior. He is sure that the fates will not grant him a second mate. Just as they get to the center of the arena filled with both Earth women and locals, Both Chase and Havoc turn and see Dana. In that one instant they both know that they have found their mate. Now the hard part begins since they did not like each other. They had to learn to compromise for Dana and her son's sake. Treachery and war ensues giving more than just one trouble spot to get over... in Vi Voxley style! We get our HEA!
Same exact plot as book #1. I read this through KU. I gave book 2 a chance despite the problems with book 1. I should not have. It's hard for me to give the lowest rating when there was so much potential, it just fell very short of that potential. The grammar was better if you overlooked the first two paragraphs of the book which were worded strangely and were difficult to understand ( although it still didn't make much sense when it was repeated later on in the book).
*****[MILD SPOILERS]***** But this book suffered from the same major issue as the 1st book-- there was a valid and interesting villain that was largely ignored in favor of an overly long and drawn out interpersonal conflict that was literally solved in a day of talking (in this book, time with other people instead of between the mains-- but that's not really that much different from the 1st book). The interesting world and it's protagonists and antagonists completely take a back seat to drama based almost entirely on the words of a minor secondary character (who was jealous) and the fears of the mains. Conflict like this just isn't meaningful; it lessens the respect and sympathy for the mains, and cheapens what otherwise would've been a 5 star story. I will probably still finish the series but my expectations are now quite low. Hence, 2 stars.
Dana is an ambassador on the Sanguine a ship that brings women to Octava for a chance to find a mate. While she sees some women find thier happy ever after she see a lot more that don't. Havoc and Chase are rival warlords but both are loved and known by thier people as octava's protectors. Both men are completely different in appearance and in thier lives. Havoc has suffered great loss and chase just wants him to start living again. When the face each other in the ring for sport at the celabrition of the new ship full of women comming in they never thought they would find thier fated and she would be the same women. Danger is on the way and war is about to start can they win her? Great storyline. Lots of depth to it and drama. The twist and turns were fun and pulled me in fast. And the characters are fantastic. SyFy fans this one is for you. Voluntary reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
This book was good. This title tells you exactly what you are getting. There is no BDSM and I appreciated that fact. The characters in this book deal more with feelings. Chase has never had a "fated" or a predestined mate. Havoc has had a fated that passed away. Dana has been married or in a long-term relationship and has a child from that relationship. We see how all this baggage is added to the issues facing this triad. It is not smooth sailing for anybody, not even the little boy. We also see that it is not happily ever after for the other women on the space ship. The two heroes are warriors and Dana is an ambassador. There is action and adventure when the bad guys attack the homeworld. The little boy also gets to be a part of the action and adventure. This is a good series and a good read.

ALIEN WARLORD'S HEIR
Another awesome addition to the Warlords of Octava series. This was a very exciting and captivating read, filled with action, intrigue and romance. I loved Havoc, Dana, and Chase, they made such great characters and trio. I loved Havoc and Chase, who were so similar yet so different, and Dana was a strong woman who had been scarred by her past and was a little resistant to them. But the warlords were so sweet and patient with her. I liked the balance between the characters relationship, and the chemistry they shared. The story moved at a good pace, and the author did a great job bringing it together. Overall this was another very entertaining read by this author.
I enjoyed this book a lot but there were definitely a few times I felt Dana, Chase, and Havoc each needed a kick in the pants. The characters aren't perfect. They all made some mistakes and were at odds with each other at times, but in the end, this was a great romance with a satisfying HEA. I love Vi's alien romances and this book is a good addition to the Warlords of Octava series.

There were some inconsistencies, like this being book 2 of a bond with 2 warlords but the h states she's the first to have two warlord mates. Still grammatical errors, but not as bad as the first book. There was an extreme amount of internal monologue for all three of the main characters. Made it dry in places. A okay read overall.
I really enjoyed this book. Unlike most serial book you can read you don't feel like you are missing something. I love the way this author keep you enthralled. I can't wait to read more by this author.
I received this book as an ARC for a honest and voluntary review.
In this book we meet Dana, Havoc and Chase. Dana has been the ambassador that has been bringing the terrian women to Octava for a number of years now. She is the woman who watches each of the women who don't meet their matches come home disappointed and sad. All of these women have the choice to take a forget it drug. Dana never does because she believes that it is her job to be there for these women not to just forget what they might go through. So when she meets Havoc and Chase she doesn't know what to do. She never thought that she would be one of the fated women but now that she is she doesn't know what to do. Can she give these men a chance or will her past ruin her future/
Havoc has had and lost a fated and believes that is the only one he was meant to have. Chase is still looking for his so when they both spot Dana neither can believe that they are both meant to be hers. However the more time they spend with her the more these realize that finding their fated is just part of the challenge. Life just seems to hit them with one thing after another and they begin to wonder will they have a chance to really be with the one woman meant to for them or will they loose her forever?
This book is full of many ups and downs. It will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. There is so much more I want to say about this book but don't want to ruin any of the twists for any other readers. I will say I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
When you least expect it, the fates will reward you with not one Gargon warlord, but two. And not just any two, the biggest, baddest, most feared and revered on the planet! That's what happens to Ambassador Dana, whose in charge of the ship bringing hopeful human women to Octava in hopes of finding their fated mates. While at the celebration, while waiting for a tournament to begin, the two famous warlords both realise at the same time that Dana is their fated mate. The story is a complicated one. There are so many factors involved keeping this three-some from their HEA. There are highs and lows throughout, that keep you cheering for them each step of the way. I won't give it away, but I cried at one point. It's THAT good! I love Vi Voxley's alien romance Carrie's. She always has the most delicious alpha males and her feisty, human woman are always multi-dimensional. That makes for a winning combination! Please keep them coming, Vi!

It's awesome, this book is a part of a series that I have loved reading. I loved reading Vi Voxley if you are like me I absolutely love her books. The characters are magnificent and this story has the kind of romance, action, twists and suspense you could want. It's well written, fascinating and has a great pace. If you haven't read the other story it's ok because they can be read as a standalone but you will be happy and excited to read book 1. I didn't want to the story to end! This the ambassador Dana, Harbor and Chase story. I'm enjoying the Warlords of Octava series I can't get enough. Another great SciFi Menage romance to snuggle up with and to enjoy. An amazing emotional rollercoaster ride with plenty of action packed into their struggles to get their HEA. It's worth FIVE HEARTS and more! I had hot flashes throughout the whole book! What a perfect blend of action, sex and suspense. It's a great story about finding your fated love and that you fight for the right to keep it. I would recommend this to everyone who loves a steamy ménage romance with a little humor thrown in it's a great book that I will read again and again! I voluntarily reviewed this book, because I love sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.
Dana is a Terran ambassador in charge of Terran-Gargon relations. She has done numerous trips to Gargon with Terran females wanting to see if they can find their fated match with the Gargon warriors. Quite a few do not and that is the part of the job that Dana finds depressing. The women come with such high expectations only to be disappointed and then have to deal with going back home to try again another time or take the forget it all pill so they do not have to cope with having their dreams shattered. But this trip is about to be different as Dana finds herself matched to not one but two Gargon Warlords Havoc and Chase. Dana did not want to matched she has made her opinions on the mater clear, she now has two determined Warlords who will try their hardest to convince her to stay and give them a chance to cement the bond. Dana has a seven year old son and she will do her utmost to protect him from all harm. The Warlords have their job cut out for them now as they must protect Dana and her son from the threat of the Iron League heading to attack their home-world Octava led by the Rabor twins. Thank you to Vi Voxley for the wonderful review copy. Loved it.
“Alien Warlords’ Heir” is Vi Voxley’s second book in the Warlords of Octava and it was mostly enjoyable. Unlike the Brion’s universe, the Gargons share with a bit more … agreeability and well, two hunky warlords with one human female is at least four times the fun. Maybe five. They are good looking. *Don’t attempt to follow my math.
And I will say that I’m enjoying the inclusion of offspring in these stories.
Except, for me, this time, I really didn’t care for the female lead (Dana). I found her incredibly annoying on many levels and was wishing for an entirely different female lead many many times. Even at the end, I just didn’t find her appealing. Of note, this is my own personal opinion and there may be others who disagree.
Also, one of the big draws for me is that Voxley’s stories have a strong science fiction battle element that helps drive the story without making the relationship the central focus. But that was also missing this time and the story was almost exclusively about Dana, which really didn’t help with my dislike of her.
Since I’ve been exposed to the Brion universe, this one is still a bit off-kilter for me in that I’m still unsure what’s going on between the Alliance and the Iron League and could have used more background there. Perhaps in the next story?
I received an ARC of this story because, well, I’m greedy and don’t like to wait.
Dana has been escorting Terran woman to the Gargon home world for years, watching as a few of these women find their mates, and yet more of them return to Terra disappointed. She has decided that this will be her final trip, that she and her son will find someplace safe to call home. She is attending a match when the fighters stop and turn in her direction, at first she thinks they are looking at the woman next to her, she soon finds out that she is their fated mate. Havoc and Chase are two of the best warriors that the Gargon has, and are thrilled to find their fated, but Dana has a child by an abusive man and she is afraid to give her all to the warriors who love her. This book is sizzling hot, sexy, with exciciting battles and a happily ever after. I loved this book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
Great story. Dana is an ambassador for Terran-Goegon relation's. She Shepard's prospective Terran fated. The last thing she wants is a fated of her own, what she few is two. Havoc and Chase are highly respected warlords, frenemies, as they are equal is skill. The last thing they expected is to share a fated. Chase wasn't really sure he wanted one and Havoc has a fates who he lost. He never expected to have another. A emotional and dramatic story as the there try to male something of their bond. Separation by war, pregnancy hormones, viscous half truths and and thee people wrapped up in their past too work for thee present and future. It takes some harsh words and observations from friends for them to see what they may loose. Happy that Rebecca got a HEA! Can't wait for the next book.
Chase and Havoc are at such odds with each other but once they meet Dana Hallsey and that fate made them one with her they have to learn to work with each other for her sake and to keep up for ever. And they have there work cut out for them lol. Dana Hallsey is on her last trip to Octava she has a son and single mother she has given up on love and going to protect her son and her heart she is leaving she is an Ambassador and she is tired of the war torn place to see's and live's on but then she meets Case and Havoc and sparks fly what a way to go loved all these books are so hot and exciting could not put them down Michelle I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book and my opinions are honest!
I loved this book. What can I say? The warlords of Octava remind me so much of the Brions, that I have to love these guys. I also love stores where babies or children are involved. So cute! I love the fact that they know they are mates, are fated, but they still need to work to make the relationship strong. They don't leave everything to fate. Dana though that she was weak, but she was strong. She did not let Chase or Havoc push her around. At the same time, Chase + Havoc knew when to back down. A relationship when they knew when to compromise. Can you imagine ? I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Once again Vi Voxley has written a great story. This is the story of two warlords of Ocrava and the Ambassador from Earth. This is their journey through accepting the Grogan bond. Dana is the Ambassador taking women to Grogan for a chance to find their fated mates. She is not there to find a fated, but two found her. She has been mated to the top warlords of Dragon. Will these three learn to accept the bond? Will Dana get the fear of her bad experience of the past out her thoughts ? I give this story 5 stars "I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
The Terrans and the Gargons worlds have collided. The Gargons are a race still dying out and need help. The Terran woman are more than welcome to come to Octava to see if they are one of the lucky fated to help the race out. Ambassador Dana has sailed back and forth with other Terran women to see if they are one of the lucky few to be chosen. She never got her love story till now. And with a young son in tow. Her two new fated Warlords have a fight to get into the walls around her heart. Can they show her the love they have for her and protect her from the danger that is coming from both sides of the frontier.
When you've watched disappointment and lived it, it's time to hang your hat. On the last trip she gets the surprise of her life. Only problem is she's not sure how to proceed. Will she lose the chance of her life? Given up on every having a Fated let alone another one. When she walks in their line of sight she is more than they could've every hoped for. Things just don't go as hoped. Will they lose her before they even have a chance? Just and amazing story of love lost found and second chances. The never give up hope dream we hold to in some way. Loved it! I received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this sci-fi romance. It had some twists I did not see coming. Dana was the only Terran female visiting the planet who didn't want a mate and found two. The two men have very different personalities but respect each others abilities as warlords. They fight hard and it is a huge part of their life. Havoc has personal history that complicates their relationship and Dana is definitely wary after her first marriage. They struggle but definitely have a strong connection and great chemistry. I like her son too. He is a strong little guy who wants to protect his mom like her mates.
Ms. Voxley's books just keep getting better and better! The Warlord's of Octavia are so competitive that when they discover they share a "fated" the fun begins!! This story encompasses all the thrills of a roller coaster ride...highs and lows and unexpected twists and turns! Each character is so richly "fleshed" out that I feel like I know them personally and the chemistry burns red hot! I couldn't set it down till I discovered what the "Twins" had in store for the Warlord's and Dana! I read and honestly reviewed this great story!!
