Two shifters from rival packs walk into a bar and… I blame everything that happened next on those extra drinks. Being a newly matured wolf shifter during the full moon destroys a girl’s inhibitions. Add in being unmated and fun times will be had. And I was having the time of my life at a human bar in town…
Until one of my pack’s enemies decided I was going home with him.
Fun times were definitely had. But getting caught up in the moment with a guy you're supposed to hate has consequences.
In my defense, I assumed he'd at least ask my name. Or be smart enough to run in the opposite direction...before things went too far. I was wrong. So how do I handle tomorrow morning?
⚠ This book contains scenes that will make you blush (and re-read) but don’t expect a sweet fairy-tale romance. In the Shifter World, only the strong survive. Contains dark fantasy aspects.
✓ A closed-door (clean) version of this book is available as Sean by Dana Archer ✓ This is a novella length story.
I'm an urban fantasy/paranormal romance author and a storyteller of gritty suspense and thrillers. The result is a sexy, unforgettable love story with a plot that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.
Short, sweet and worth every second of reading. I'm so happy Nancy Corrigan decided to write this "installation". Especially after reading about Sean in the first one.
Sean is newly matured and fighting his wolf for control. Mainly because Sean is confused on whether or not he'll have to take over the Kagan pack since Nic has left the pack, escaping his own feelings regarding the Mate he really wants (Kagan Wolves 1). But I digress...
While trying to calm his wolf with a night by himself in a bar, Sean is blindsided by his instincts when he notices Jenna in the bar. Although he tried to avoid her, her pull was just too much to resist. Seems he wasn't the only one who was suffering from the moon's pull that night.
Jenna couldn't stop staring at Sean in the bar, but when he brushes her off, she does something stupid that could have put her in a rough spot if Sean didn't come to the rescue. And man oh man did he rescue her. Once the moon's pull was over, they could deny the fact that they were still drawn to each other.
Chance on love is the perfect title for this short. Jenna and Sean took that leap. Maybe we all should.
*I was given this book as a gift from the author in exchange for my honest review.
Hot & sexy as hell! That’s how I’d describe this novella. It also left me with an ‘awww’ moment at the end. It was the perfect mix.
I love the way that Corrigan got right into Sean’s head. It made him so easy to get to know. The quirks that make him tick made him all the more desirable. His intense, driven counterpart was just as much fun to get to know. I enjoyed the instinct driven dynamic between the pair of them. The way that Corrigan uses this dynamic to develop the inner workings of the wolf shifter world was innovative and spot on.
All in all, this was a fantastic introduction to the world of the Kagan Wolf Pack. It is a must read for all lovers of shifter romance.
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
This was a good introduction to the books ahead, it was short, yet good. It really makes you want to dive into the series. I can't wait looks like something I know I don't want to miss.
I enjoyed this novella, though I hadn't read any of the series. A lad who fights against his inner werewolf, is hoping to quiet it by drinking in the local bar. But he meets a female wolf shifter from a different pack. They are currently on neutral territory but should not even speak or their packs will be furious. But when the girl goes out and transforms into a white wolf that runs away - well, that inner wolf won't be quieted any more.
I found references to the politics and loyalties both between packs and among wolves of a pack. These shifters also have to make sure the town does not find out about their real natures. The atmosphere and nature of the werewolves is well handled and we get just enough background to make it all convincing. This is an adult romance. I would have liked the tale to be longer, but I guess I'll just have to read another book of the series to find out more.
This short novella was great. Sean and Jenna had great chemistry and despite not wanting to take on the role of packleader, Sean's need to mate and have Jenna by his side as Alpha packleader was a cloying need.
"He wanted her as a partner; someone to match and complement him."
I really enjoyed this story. It was short and sexy and romantic. I absolutely love the romantic idea of "mates" and life partners and loved the way Sean's immediate reaction was to help Jenna and make sure she was okay. I look forward to reading additional books in this series. ~ Ratula, 3 stars
It was okay for a short novella type book. I just hope that the reason the author jumped to an entirely different storyline will make sense eventually. I really want to get to Xander and Vadar's book. But that's 3 books away. I'm hoping it will make sense that the author deviated from the first three books storyline and jumped into another. I'm not a fan of waiting to get to the rest of the story, but hopefully it will make sense eventually.
I enjoyed this story. It moved along at a good pace. The characters emotions draw you in and keep you turning the pages; however, the ending was too abrupt. I am interested to see where this story goes.
Chance on Love is a teasing tidbit of what’s to come in the Kagan Wolves series. Sean is floundering at controlling his wolf in the aftermath of Nic’s departure and the ever tempting need of his wolf to absorb the spirit wolf of Nic’s father and all the power it will give him. At the same time Sean the man wants nothing to do with leading the pack. He is quite content with being the face of Kagan Industries. So, Sean has a simple plan to thwart his wolf… drink himself into oblivion. His plan doesn’t work out quite the way he planned though. When a pretty little alpha she-wolf from another local pack shows up at the bar he is tempted beyond reason. Jenna Tanner stirs the wolf and the man. When she disappears, he pursues. A hot and fast mating is in order… but will he be pleased with the consequences on the morning after? Will he be able to hold his new mate? This is one wolf that will discover just where his heart lies and what he’s willing to do to see to his mate’s happiness. Chance on Love is a quick read and perfect for those few moments before bed, the waiting room or a lunch hour. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****
Nancy Corrigan’s Chance on Love is a great start to the Kagan Wolves series. The pack’s alpha-in-waiting, Nic Kagan, has left town. Sean Reynolds has no interest of taking over his best friend’s position as alpha-in-waiting. He is doing everything he can to keep his wolf in check. While avoiding his pack at an out-of-the-way bar, he meets an alluring shifter, Jenna Tanner, from the neighboring pack. This contemporary PNR takes place is West Virginia. It is suitable for adult audiences.
I enjoyed this 44-page short story. Nancy Corrigan did a great job setting the foundation for this new series. The characters were well developed an interesting. This was a cute story that I flew through in one sitting. The plot had some interesting obstacles that were well resolved at the end. I appreciate Nancy Corrigan’s writing style and look forward to following this new series.

Not interested in pack leadership, Sean Reynolds is attempting to drink his beast into submission when a sultry blonde shifter abruptly disappears and sends his wolf in hot pursuit in this captivating paranormal romance.
The reader can’t help but be captivated as a wolf who would like nothing better than to live his life free of all the responsibilities that come with a being a pack leader is suddenly chasing a female that he could see sharing his bed for a lifetime instead of a single night. There is lots of sizzling chemistry to be found along with all the emotional angst that comes when two people would rather avoid entanglements but can’t deny the desire burning between them.
These strong compelling characters draw the reader into this well written, fast paced and smooth flowing plot full of passion and is a great introduction to the Kagan Wolves series (although I do wish had been longer) and I can’t wait to visit with them again.
Chance on Love is a short and sexy introduction to the Kagan Wolves Series. Sean is all alpha and definitely not looking for his mate when he finds her anyway. Jenna was looking for him not even knowing who he was. They shared a night of passion and end up mated by morning. There is a bump or two along the way, but I really can't wait to read more in this series.
Sean Reynolds wields his dominance at Kegan Industries. but when Nic leaves town and no one there to assume all the responsibilities, there is no one left but Sean. He does not want anything to do with this, but his wolf wants it, and in walks in his mate, will Sean find her will he lead the pack, you will have to read it to find out.
The book was well writen, the story was great and like all her books I loved it
A short story about a wolf who does not want a mate. And about another wolf who just wants some fun, since wolves in her tribes are idiots. They meet. They lust. They know they are mates to be.
It was passionate and short. I think I can do pnr in small doses...small doses ;)
I received this for a honest review. Nancy Corrigan does such an amazing job writing. I just love her books.
Sean was this handsome werewolf. He was upset that Nic had left and that he might have to carry on the Alpha role. Sean had been battling with his wolf. His wolf wanted a mate and that was the last thing Sean wanted.
Jenna Tanner who was a werewolf of the Tanner pack had been in the bar looking for a human to have some fun with. She did not her first time to be with a male of her pack. What she did not expect was to see some werewolf that looked like a sex god. Problem was Sean was not giving her the time of day.
Things get hot and heavy between Jenna and Sean. Things are said that could hurt the situation. Both parties will have to decide what they really want. Can things work out between Sean and Jenna?

This novella is basically cutting out all the things that make a story a thing and kept the sex, the drama, and the heartache. It was okay and not exactly fulfilling (unless you’re horny) but I liked the excerpt for the next book.
I’m confused about the Royals and Kagans “becoming one”, as if the Kagan wolves have their own series. It certainly feels that way and I hate missing books I’m supposed to read. This novella left the cats and went to the dogs. I’m a little worried I’m missing stuff.
I also don’t like things moving in ways I wasn’t anticipating because it means I’ll have to read them to get to the people I thought would come up (like Gwen or Kaden!?). But this novella certainly bridges the cats and dogs together. That was cool.
I received this book for free - but in no way did that influence my review! I definitely call them like I see them (or read them!). What I really enjoyed about this story was that the heroine, Jenna, was no shrinking violet, nor was she overly dominating. I liked that she felt secure in herself, she had her own strength, she didn't need someone else to complete her. And Sean, what a great balance between the alpha male image and someone who really cared about what his partner wanted, not just what he wanted!
Short story. They meet at the worst moment, full moon. They can't resist each other and a very hot moment follows. But the next morning he blows it up.
Will there be a happily ever after ? For that you have to read the story. If you are into a good werewolf story, you won't regret reading this
Characters meet have one night together.......the end. That is how I felt.
This book was too short. Left this reader hanging. It would have been okay for a short story. I wish I would have known that before I paid $4.99 for it. I already read the first 3 books in the series. I won't bother with the rest.
This is a good short story to tell you a little about Sean and Jenna. And how they became mates. You also get a glimpse of both their Alpha's, Dean's friend Noah and Jenna's friend Myra. You also lean a little about Mix before you read about him in the next book. A really good short story leading up to the next book in the series
Short and to the point. Sean and Jenna saw each other in a bar and bam! That's all she wrote. I read this one out of order, but my COD problem made me read it anyway. This actually filled in some questions I had had. Great series
Chance on Love by Nancy Corrigan really bring the Kagan shifters into the series. Just when I thought the series couldn't get better the Kagan Alpha males bring in new hot sexy eye candy with depth to their characters. I'm so glad I was introduced to this series. I'm so excited to see what's next.
I swear these shifters get more and more cruel every book I read. I wish I could have seen how things turned out for Jenna's best friend Mya and her kids. Her mate is a jackass and so is their alpha. I'm glad Sean turned out to be Jenna's mate.
‘Chance On Love,’ is a quick read! This novella give us a quick intro into the wolves world, we’ve only touched the edges on. Sean and Jenna are sexy pair! I’m looking forward to reading more on these two!
This is the fourth book in the series, a novella, that basically introduces the reader to the wolf packs. I’m assuming that these characters are going to play a role in the coming books in the series.
After reading the first few books it was a chance to read about wolves but this one is good. A nice short story to bring you in and ready for the next book
The wolf packs of West Virginia are rivals but Sean mates with Jenna anyway. He might be in line to be the next alpha of his pack but after mating he no longer wants it. He's waiting for his best friend to return and claim his rightful place.
This story could have been amazing. I feel like just when it was starting to get good, it was over. I get that it was a novella, but it just felt incomplete. It had the makings of a great story. It just didn’t fit into the other books in the series.
