Isabella Martinez was always good at rebelling, against her parents, her school, her boyfriends. She had needs no one could meet, desires so dark no one could tame her. When her wild side gets her in trouble with the law, she doesn't think twice when given a choice between prison or transport to a new world as an Interstellar Bride. Alone on Earth, the decision was easy. But when she arrives on Viken, she learns she's been matched to not one fierce, alien brute, but three—and their desires, their needs, their demands are far darker and more demanding than her own. As enemies plot to destroy Viken's place in the Coalition Fleet, Bella will have to learn to trust, or lose everything. Her mates will feed the hunger inside her no others ever could. But their secrets will either break her heart...or set her free forever.
Three men joined as a unit with no chance of finding a mate who could satisfy each of their individual sexual requirements. Liam, from a planet where males dominated their females and public sex was the norm. Evon, from a male Dom society who lived for total control of their women, albeit in private. Rager, whose greatest pleasure was to feast on his female's nectar, even if it took hours, before achieving his own pleasure. Finally convinced to seek the Interstellar Bride Program in hopes of finding one female who could meet their needs and start a family unit with.
Isabella Martinez, computer genius extraordinaire, convicted of hacking and facing two years prison time with extended parole is offered a pardon if she agrees to participate in the Interstellar Bride Program. Deciding leaving Earth is in her best interests Bella (Isabella) is tested with a match found on Viken, a military warrior planet, where she's about to find out her match includes not one but three highly domineering males.
It's not all peaches and cream as treachery and enemies of the Prillon Prime nation seek to undermine and corrupt status quo which puts one of them at risk. The only solution will put Bella at the forefront of being the first unclaimed interstellar bride in history to reject her mates.

11th installment in the Interstellar Brides Series which can be read as a stand alone. Does include multiple scenes of adult content erotic romance of the BDSM variety (though I don't feel it fits a BDSM tag) as it has a D/s relationship slant.
Refreshingly, the author changed things up from the usual female POV intro to showcasing the male POV and their screening process side of things. Ms. Goodwin also added different variables from previous cookie cutter scenarios that have me hopeful that future installments ... cough cough Mersan cough, cough continue this trend. Crossing my fingers anyway......
I really struggled with this book. Initially picking it up soon after it's release date, I put it down repeatedly unable to continue. Why? The first half this story were repeated sex scenes with very little story line content. Ok. I get it. Lust, insta love equals successful compatible mating. Can we move along now? Just about ready to DNF when, at the 50% mark, the read transitioned into becoming a viable plot/story line I could sink my teeth into. My thoughts for any potential reader who might experience similar feelings ... the second half of this story redeems any thoughts this story has no other merit than explicit sex scenes between the main characters.
Secondary characters. While some of the characters from previous installments are mentioned, they don't make any meaningful appearances thus making it appropriate to be read as a stand alone. As there is a mystery-suspense element in this story I'm not going to identify secondaries as potential readers need to figure out who the good, the bad, and the evil characters are without any reviewer (me) influence. New characters do add to the potential pool of future stories though the ending might indicate the author is going elsewhere (non-spoiler vague reference) next.
I do have to insert that the ending totally rocked as Bella schooled her men and the Prillon Prime warrior nation in one swoop. I'm a sucker for a HEA surprise ending.......
Thinking I was done with the series, the author redeemed my fan card membership though it's only as the back half of this story offset problems I had with the overall story. I'm neutral on recommending others to check it out as it's really up to the individual to decide if the purchase price is something they want to one click or not based on the story blurb and what others are saying.
Isabella Martinez and her three mates. You read that correct. Three. Mates. Bella, Evan, Rager, and Liam. Uhm….that’s a lot of mates. Hahaha! This book is crazy but also sweet. Which is what I’ve come to expect from this author. Smut and emotions mixed with crazy and sweet.
Title: Her Viken Mates - Interstellar Brides Book 11 Author: Grace Goodwin Publisher: 7-17-2017 Published: Grace Goodwin Pages: 344 Genre: Sci Fi & Fantasy ISBN: 9781548794732 ASIN: B0741F9P3S Reviewed For NetGalley and Grace Goodwin Reviewer: DelAnne Rating: 4.25 Stars
If you are interested in a sensual scenes based book then don't miss "Her Viken Mates". Don't get me, the scenes were well dine and hot, but the book starts out with the heat level off the charts. The problem is that it takes so long for the story and characters come together and the real story to begin. Once it does you will not want to put it down. At least I could not. I was totally surprised by who was behind everything. I had my eye on someone else.
I hope you will give it time to build the story it is worth it. I want to read some of the other books in the series soon.
My rating of "Her Viken Mates" is 4.25 out of 5 stars.
I never thought I'd say this, but it was too many men. I couldn't distinguish one from the other. But the heroine's backstory and how she saved the day were really cool.
Our human female was in jail for hacking and after 6 months she decided to join the interstellar bride program & she was matched with 3 strong men.
Things started off well until one of her mates was set up for murder & other charges within 24hrs of her meeting him.
She went to his court hearing and showed that there was reasonable doubt, she was then given 24hrs to find proof he was set up or he would be killed.
She found her proof but then there was a case of miscommunication as her one mate made her get off the computer and dumped her back off at their room. (She thought he didn’t want to see the truth as it was a family member of his that was guilty) but he went to confront his family. This was frustrating!
When she was back in there room see spied another mate naked in the shower as a beautiful woman was naked and saying she wanted to be with him, so she ran away upset. (This has been done a million times, not staying to see him reject her advice)
Then she’s taken and they have to get her just before she’s basically sold or traded to a different planet.
Then she has to go back to court to show all her findings and she’s given a high up job since she can hack anything, they want her in charge.
The lack of communication between them bugged me, this storyline has been done before but the spice was good.
Even though the Vikens are my least favorite aliens, the extra added intrigue with the VSS always makes for a great book. We also get a another bride that actually did her crime (a white collar variety but for good reasons).
Bella's confusion over having been matched to 3 mates leads to all kinds of what-if scenarios (mainly dealing with how can 3 men be satisfied with one woman an not have a little something extra on the side). Each of our 3 Vikens are totally unique, as the author does a fantastic job of giving them different childhoods, family types, and physical relationship cravings. With a traitor in their midst and several misunderstandings, our foursome struggles to stay together. Family dynamics play a large part of this story.
The story a a whodunit that keeps you guessing but once the traitor is revealed, everyone else jumps into action to bring about a conclusion that is totally unexpected with a bit of a cliffhanger for one of the characters. I felt this was the best Viken book in the series (Atlans are still my absolute favorites).
This is another one of those series that I totally recommend reading. I receive advanced review copies of Grace Goodwin's books to get them in my hands as soon as possible but I always purchase her books to support a great author that tells such intriguing stories.
I enjoyed this one. I liked the characters and was engaged with them. Bella is matched with three Viken males that all tested together and are stationed at the IQC, a remote communications station. Bella is happy with her men though a little overwhelmed with three mates though she gets on board pretty quickly. I enjoyed watching all of them together and building a relationship. Things quickly change though when one of Bella's mates is being framed and Bella has the knowledge and expertise with technology and hacking in order to find the truth and save her mate. Due to her experiences on Earth though and the relationships being new with trust being built there are some miscommunications between some of them that they have to work through as well as they become a team and work through getting to know personalities and figuring out exactly what everyone needs. I liked this one and thought it was well done. It pulled me in from beginning to end and I really liked it. I'm looking forward to more books set in Viken. The narrators did a great job with the story and characters and bringing them to life.

Where do I sign up to be an Interstellar Bride? Her Viken Mates is the 3rd book in this series that I've read, and it's my favorite so far! Not only is it a steamy menage a quad set in outer space with a heroine from Earth & 3 uber alpha Viken warriors (full of that "seed power"), it's packed with mystery, intrigue, family dramas, life & death situations, suspense .... and sizzling hot MFMM interactions. What more could a reader want? I love the depth of character development the author has created for each of the primary & secondary characters. The heroine, as well as the heroes, have very relate-able quirks & faults, as well as vulnerabilities. This is a very well-written, exciting and titillating read that I highly recommend!
Book club assignment this month is erotica. Chose this after exploring Overdrive and wondering what sci-fi erotica looked like. I enjoyed the woman centered group activities and that the female lead was a super hacker. I thought the vocab was lazy and at times very cheesy. I wish we could rate books on multiple facets. . quality of writing: 2.5-3, enjoyability: 4.
I'm not a huge fan of the Viken guys but I was pleasantly surprised this book really made me enjoy the plot. I loved Bella and her genius and I love how the series became more diversified ❤️ Having a Latinx female mc being a brilliant worlds hacker is truly beautiful and I gotta thank Ms. Grace Goodwin for that. Could have done without the Latines have stereotypically long names with Bella's name, though, but ehh, I'll give it a pass. This book was really entertaining with the whole suspense with Liam and who the real traitor turned out to be, and Bella earning the admiration by the Prillons and being so awesome in her own right. And though Vikens are my least favorite Interstellar aliens (Atlans are the best, we agree!?) I really have a soft spot for how G A Y 🌈 these Viken dudes sound for each other. To quote Rager on Evon and his need to control and stuff, “He was relentless, the sun in a burning desert.” That, to me, is highly romantic praise and was the cutest sentence constructed here tbfh. Like I really find myself wishing these guys would come out of the closet, it literally doesn't matter now. I wish Ms. Goodwin would have given us that! It literally wouldn't diminish the poly fantasy if the guys were finally openly pan or bi. Oh well, that's where the hc comes in hee hee. But really, although I enjoy most of these books a lot, the kinda problematic lack of lgbtq rep dampens the enjoyment a little. Oh, and one other thing, i really loved how this book ended with Bella being rewarded with a job and recognition of her talent and not with a baby! Thank you for this! It was getting tiresome. Can't claim Evon, Rager, Liam and Bella as the first and only childfree IBP foursome but I'm glad the guys weren't obsessing with this, this time. I know it should be cute that most of these guys want to have daughters but in the setting of how that wish is expressed makes me soooo uncomfortable, so I'm glad it wasn't added here.
Grace Goodwin has ruined me for all other alien romance novels. Correction… she has ruined me for ALL romance novels. After reading her material, I find the others to be tame, dull and overall anticlimactic. I am not ashamed to admit that I have read each of her books at least twice.
The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. There is a neurological test that a bride takes to me matched to their perfect alien planet, then their perfect alien match on that planet, through a series of sexual desires that only our subconscious can answer for. Earth allows for volunteers to apply to the program, or grants female criminals the option to become a bride over a prison sentence. Those who volunteer are paid a healthy sum of money, and those who are prisoners are given clean slates. All applicants are required to give up their Earth citizenship to become a resident of their new chosen planet. A bride has 30 days to accept or reject their match. If they accept their claim, they are mated to their new alien husband for the rest of their lives where they are expected to make babies. If they reject their mate, they are assigned a new one on that same planet. Where they are still expected to make babies. Warden Egara makes continued appearances throughout the series as she is the one who processes the brides in the United States.
The author was smart in how she developed her story lines with the different species. Whenever she feels like getting kinky with orgies, she just has to write a match made to Viken. Feeling like dominant wall sex? Looks like it’s an Atlan beast book. In the mood for sentimental feelings? Prillion it is. Or some one-on-one bondage and S&M? Yep, it’s a Trion book. Lol
Written in first person, Her Viken Mates is book 11 in this series and follows the human bride Isabella (aka Bella) Martinez and her alien mates Evon, Liam and Rager from the planet Viken. Liam was from sector 1 (weapons of a spear and shield), where family was all and they preferred anal sex and public affection. Evon was from sector 2 (weapons of bows and arrows), where they preferred bondage while claiming a woman’s pussy. Rager was from sector 3 (a sword as a weapon), and members of his sector preferred oral sex. It’s been established since the third book in this series that Vikens mated three men to each bride, one from each sector. This book had a lot of adventure and drama. Bella was a con, agreeing to the bride program instead of a prison sentence. Her crime was hacking and selling her stolen information on the dark web. The Vikens were stationed at the most Northern outpost, which was freezing like the Artic. Evon’s sister betrayed everyone by setting up Liam up for a crime she committed by using his codes. Everyone believed Liam’s guilt because his father was part of the resistance. Bella used her hacking skills to prove his innocence. Evon’s sister also happened to be in love with Rager, and Bella walked in on her exposing herself to him in the shower. Instead of hanging out and verifying information, she took off and went to request new mates. But before that could be processed, Thalia kidnapped her with the intention of selling her to the raiders. Her mates saved her in time, and all lived happily ever after. I will say that the opening chapter in this book is very unique; we get to see the testing from the MALE’s perspective opposed to the human female’s experience. Loved it!
Vikens are humanoid. What sets them apart from everyone else is their massive size (they’re larger than humans but smaller than Prillions), their potent cum that changes the body to accommodate their mate, and their cum is an aphrodisiac that when it comes in contact with skin, releases a pheromone to make the woman aroused and horny (and crave their partner to an extreme). Vikens are probably my least favorite of the alien species. One demanding mate is fun, two better, but three? That’s just too many cocks in my humble opinion.
There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. This is NOT one of those books. The very first chapter gives a very clear indication of what we are in for. I’m fairly confident that there is more sexual content in this book than adventure. It is, quite literally, word porn.
The first few books in this series were a little too hardcore for my tastes. Which is saying a lot because I am far from a prude and consider myself a person with a healthy and active sex life. Filled with bondage and S&M, the consent line was a little blurry in some cases. Spankings take place in every single book. If any man spanked me, I would probably kill them in their sleep, but I guess some women do enjoy them. Spankings are more of a turn-off than turn-on in my case, so I just ignore those parts of the books like “nope, that didn’t just happen.” This book had more soft, gentle love than dominating possession and I loved every word of it. It was an “awe” kind of book.
As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. This book wasn’t one of my favorites in the series. Too much drama, lack of communication and assumptions. Most of the conflict could have been avoided if the men weren’t being stupid men. But meh, whatever.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
We start this story meeting Rager having a seriously intense sexual experience. Like him we are let down when we realize it’s an induced dream that he’s experiencing while at the Medical Bay as he gets tested for a mate match. We then meet the other two males, Evon and Liam. All three warriors were subjected to the same testing to find a compatible match that would work for all three of them. They come from different family situations and different regions. These men also have their own varied sexual needs, finding a female that would be compatible with all three of them maybe prove an impossibility.
We meet Bella she is a bit of a renegade hacker on earth and her activities have her doing jail time. She was given an option of completing her jail sentence or making a fresh start by becoming an Intersettlar Bride. Bella chose to become a bride. When she made the choice she thought she would be matched to one mate and not to three.
Things get heated very quickly between all four of them. Bella is taken back to their room and gets to know her new mates intimately for the next few hours. As they get ready for another round of lets see how I can make you scream with pleasure Liam is taken away and arrested as a traitor.
Their new mates skills in hacking may save Liam from being executed for treason. Along the way to proving Liam’s innocence we have family discord, unrequited love, mistrust and jealousy. Will Bella’s skills be able to save Liam? Will the newness of the quartets relationship stand the up to the politics of different factions and maneuverings of the different players?
The male warriors have a strong bond and balance off of each other nicely. There are chinks in their individual armor but together they are formidable trio. With the addition of Bella there is a balancing of all that testosterone into a smoother running machine. They are protective, domineering, submissive and very giving sexually what more can a woman want?
The book is fast paced with lots of explicit sex and some mild spanking. The characters are full fleshed out. We get good backstory to explain some of the quirks of the men. My only pause was the name of the female character Bella. The author did a great job with naming all of the other characters in this story was a bit disappointed that they didn’t choose something more unique.
As part of the Interstellar Bride testing program, Rager was experiencing a wonderful fantasy with a woman and, even though he knew he was really in a medical center, he wanted to prolong this experience. He knew it wasn’t real yet, but he savored each moment… until the doctor brought him back to reality! His friend, Evon and Liam, joined him to ask what he thought of the experience. Their tradition had always been for three to share a bride, and they were hopeful that the three of them would be matched. But they were so extremely different, he didn’t think a bride could accept the three of them. But as the three accepted the impossibility, the doctor began to smile and announced that their mate had been found!
Bella woke up on the floor, not sure where exactly. Three men stood around her and reached out to keep her stable when she sat up and felt dizzy. She didn’t know which one was her mate, but they were all gorgeous. Rager identified himself as her mate. And as they helped her stand, another introduced himself and told her all three were her mates! They took her to their quarters and their new family merged together. However, they were all surprised when the station commander and three guards showed up to arrest Liam for treason!!! What happened??? How could they resolve this situation and find out what really happened???
Once again we have been given a fantastic book in this series. Story line, character development, and writing are top-notch, as always expected with this author’s books. I have no hesitation about recommending this one or any of the others in the series. The writing is so good that it will keep the readers on the edge of their seats to find out how the mystery will resolve. And Bella’s computer skills really impress the Vikens – score one for planet Earth! Seriously, you will love this book. Grab a copy and enjoy! Not for the faint of heart…

Rager is having a very satisfying dream. Isabella “Bella” Martinez is about to have her life changed. Loved how Bella is strong enough to voice what she wants. Evon shows what they all are feeling as they explore this new relationship. He lets you know how extraordinary they really are. Liam is the one who shows who Bella came to be with them. He also shows the reader how a part of the family dynamic they all are.
This author impressed me by taking into consideration the barriers that come when you have two different species – made the story seem more believable. You start to wonder about what other types of differences there might be. But you have to remember that with any fantasy, it all comes from the author’s imagination and she gets to decide what will be different and what might be the same. The author gets to create their world without any limitations.
What’s good for you is that you don’t have to read the other books in this series to enjoy this book. You don’t have to read the other books in order to understand the world the Viken’s live in. One great way to help the reader understand is by having the story told by multiple characters – several points of view is a great way to achieve that.
But as a reader, you have to try and not compare the story to anything based in reality. Knowing that this is the eleventh book in this author’s series you know that she has spent a lot of time creating the world she would love you to enjoy. Bella may be of strong mind but that doesn’t stop her from being feminine for the men who love her. Two things will become evident that will show you that even though we may be totally different in some ways we are the same.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Evon, Rager and Liam are Viken warriors and have decided to follow the example of their kings. Each of them are from a different sector and they have decided to look for an Interstellar Bride. However they have doubts that one woman could be the perfect match for the three of them. Evon needs a submissive, Liam needs to dominate and take the rear while Rage really enjoys doing a good licking. They are shocked when they are immediately matched. Bella is a computer programming genius and hacker from Earth. Her former basses attitude to women bother her so much that she sabotaged their public stock offering. Now she is in jail for insider stock trading. She decides to try for a match with Interstellar Brides because she destroyed any future chances of a job after prison. She is excited about her match but when she gets to Viken something strange is going on. It seems like she is the perfect mate for three men who want to share her. She is confused and wants to give it a try. Before things go too far, Liam is arrested for treason and Bella must use her skills to save him. This is a great book with some twists and turns. I really enjoyed the personalities for the three men. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Rager, Liam, and Evon are three Vikens who have been part of the Coalition Fleet and have fought the Hive. Evon has always been the one who commands the trio and kept them all together and alive during their battles. When they get home, they become a member of the royal guard, and are stationed to an important post. While they are there, they decide to test for the Interstellar Bride Program to see if they can find the woman who is perfect for them. Enter Isabella, a hacker who was incarcerated for doing what she saw as right.
This is another great Grace Goodwin story. I love these books. There is never any cheating, the males love their mate, the mates love their males, and all is right with the world. It is a menage, but it's all boy on girl action. It can be read alone, since there isn't a continuing plot line through the entire story, but they all fit under a particular umbrella, so if you pick up this book, you won't be totally lost if you haven't read any of the others.
This has a lovely, and entirely well earned HEA. The only thing I want to know is are there more Vikens to go around?
The majority of this book took place over the course of 1 day, mayyybe 2. And it was all a bit absurd. I not the biggest fan of this series but I still keep coming back to see what could possibly happen next. I did like Bella's awesome hacking abilities. But... that's mostly it? The rest just kind of bothered me. Apologies to the author but just... ehh. The whole big issue was just such a load of crap, arising from the fact that they had all known each other for less than a day and she didn't know any of the personal history of her mates or their planet. So I guess it was understandable? But also completely unnecessary. And that kind of conflict always just pisses me off. Also characters weren't developed (not really shocking) but then also weren't consistent in their attitudes/behaviors. Like Devron or whatever his name is, Evon's brother. No explanation for his behavior or changes in it really. And it's not like this was a short book either. It just wasn't well developed beyond sex scenes. So, I'm not a fan.
Omg Grace Goodwin you had don't it again I loved this book I so want to join the interstellar bride program asap, with that said Isabella Martin is a very very good hacker but gets caught by the police and is given a choice go to jail or join the interstellar bride program she chose the interstellar bride program and was processed and matched to an alien on Viken and was transported straight away upon her arrival she finds out she has been mated to not just one but three aliens all with desires for her what's a girl to do but smile, soon she is whisked away by her mates for some alone time her new mates are Evon Liam and Rager and what a great time they all had but soon there peace was broken and Liam was taken away to be charged with crimes that will have him put to death. Will everything be ok can they find the answers and will love conquer all read this book to find out you will love it I did. I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book for an honest review. Thanks
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Hot read, good characters, interesting twists in the book. Isabella was a hacker on earth and got caught. She spent a couple of years in a detention center and then matched through Interstellar Brides Program. Viken males were brought up to treat woman according to their sectors. Sector one males would take a woman in public, even for anal sex, while sector two males were very dominant, demanding complete obedience and Sector three much more easy going, making sure a woman was always pleasured. Bella was mated to three Vikens, which in the new order, includes one female and one male from each of the sectors. Rager, Evon and Liam were her mates and they had 30 days to claim their mate for the marriage to be recognized. Of course, not to spoil the story, after quite a few missteps, accusations of treason and misadventures they will settle into a happily ever after.
When you want to read a steamy and kinky menage book, you are here at the exactly right place. Her Viken Mates by Grace Goodwin is the eleventh installment in the Interstellar Brides Series. Meet Isabella- Bella and her new matched mates, Rager, Liam and Evon. They are from planet Viken and live and work there after fighting the Hive for many years. The men doubt that one bride can fit all their different needs. But Bella can. This book is a scorching hot NSFW, steamy, kinky read. It contains menage as mfm, mf, mfmm. I voluntarily received a advance reader copy of this book. I love Grace Goodwin´s Interstellar Brides Series. I can´t wait til the next book in this series releases and I get my hands on it. I love her writing, I love her stories and I love her words. I give 5 stars, recommend the book and the series and thanks, Grace Goodwin !
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Bella is an exceptional hacker till she is caught. She has always been rather wild and so when she faces the choice of prison or as a interstellar bride - she chooses the latter. When she gets there she is greeted by not just one husband but three! All very different but all claim her as theirs. Avon, Liam and Raeger are in command on the IQC Base. When one of her mates, Liam, is arrested for murder and Bella is told to remain secure on their ship they suddenly find out that their supposedly penetrable security system is worthless where she is around. Will they save Liam and will they have their family of four and a HEA? This was a fast paced read which was intense and fun! Bella is a strong woman and does not suffer fools. Very well written and great dialogue. definitely recommended!
